My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Lina through Sunflower tours, and thanks to her our experience was unforgettable.
Miss Lina met us right in the lobby of our hotel and she had all of the transportation and tickets arranged for us, all we had to do was show up. The drive out to the wall took about 60 mins and it was a nice drive through the countryside. The drive home was about 3 times as long due to Sunday traffic.
Miss Lina was able to provide us with so much history and information about the wall that we never would have known. She took lots of pictures of us and was extremely patient, we never felt rushed. We probably spend about 2.5-3 hours walking the wall and taking photos. You could take less or more time than that depending on your preference.
Our driver was excellent, very patient and calm even in heavy traffic. The car was very comfortable, clean and enjoyable to ride in.
We treated Lina to a lunch after at the base of the wall, and thankfully we did because the car ride home took about 3 hours!
The Great Wall is incredible and I am so happy we booked a private tour. I would 10/10 recommend Sunflower Tours.

I hired Sunflower as my tour guide for visiting the Great Wall, and it was definitely worth it. She was a pleasant companion with a lot of interesting facts to share. Good conversations and she knew the best parts to take pictures or simply enjoy the view, as well as avoiding overly crowded bits.
I would recommend her tours to anyone visiting China and wanting to experience some local hospitality. As an added bonus, her English is also very good, which is very useful unless you know Chinese :)

We had a great time visiting the Great Wall with Sunflower team. She was very responsive to my e-mails an text, so we could arrange the details very easy.
She picked up us from the hotel. Lynn was the tour guide, a very charming and smiling lady.
We went in a van to the Great Wall section at MuTianYu. This is a good area because it is less crowded than Badaling. It took 90 minutes to get there.
We went to the top of the Wall in cable car, and we had a 2 hours walk along a section of the wall, with amazing views (although it was cloudy and foggy).
There is a tobogan to get down, but we could not use it because it was raining.
We got back to Beijing and had lunch in an excellent Chinese restaurant chosen by Lynn. She helped us chose the food (it is always hard to understand te menu, even with photos) and everything was delicious.
We went after lunch to the Summer Palace, this was the place were the Emperor stayed during Summer (instead than Forbidden City), because it is in the middle of a park with trees, so it was much cooler. They have the long blue corridor with all the paintings in the ceiling, which is beautiful, and a big lake where we took a nice boat trip to the other side.
Lynn drooped us off at the hotel at 6 PM, it was a long but rewarding day, and she was excellent.

Maggie with Sunflower tours helped me see the highlights of Beijing in a day and a half. She was a fantastic, informative guide. I learned a great deal during my short time and felt confident I was able to see more than I would have on my own. I highly recommend this tour company!

Title: Sunflower CAME TO OUR RESCUE!
When we booked to have our honeymoon on a provincial Chinese resort, little did we know that it was hours away from the airport and literally NO ONE SPOKE ENGLISH in the entire resort (and the town proper)!
Internet was also scarce. We werefortunate to have stumbled on Sunflower's Tour advertisement. Boy, did she save the entire trip for us!
Our honeymoon turned out to be romantic, fun and has just-the-right-pace for my husband and I.. and it was because of Sunflower's Tour!
It was the Best PERSONALIZED TOUR we've ever had!
1. Marvelous Tourist Spot Planning -- Sunflower helped us plan our itinerary. We only went to the places we liked! This way, we were able to save a lot of time! We also didn't have to rush through places because we had ample time to roam around.
2. Awesome Transportation -- We had the flexibility to lounge around our hotel because Sunflower & Co. did pick up and drop off straight to our hotel.
3. Perfect Shopping Guide! -- She showed us where to shop specifically for only the items we want - and she even did some negotiating for us! I still wear my genuine jade bracelet my husband purchased for me on that trip.
3. Budding Photographer -- I don't know how important this might be to others, but we werevery happy to find out that Sunflower was very good at taking photographs! She also knew where the best scenec shooting spots were. It meant a lot to us because it was just the 2 of us, my husband and I, and so if our tour guide didnt know howto take shots, we'd have to take each other's photos - posing alone. But with Sunflower's help, we have very lovely couple photos as remembrance!
I could go on and on.. We're just very grateful that we found her when we did!!

My family flew in for a day trip round Beijing, Sunflower arranged to meet us early in the morning at our hotel. So we could driver out to the Great Wall, our fun started the moment we pulled away, as Sunflower started to fill us in on Beijing's history, personalising the topics as we engaged.
The Great Wall is defiantly on the 'Once in a Lifetime' list, a couple of hours as Sunflower coloured in the history and detail meant it felt like we had spend days exploring the Wall.
Then into Beijing to see some of the character including Tiananmen Square before walking around the Forbidden City.
I would recommend Sunflower to any sized party, she knows her way around, you would expect that, she also works hard to make sure every element of your trip is special.

Sunflower had the difficult task of catering for our family of three generations which included a five-month old baby girl. She ensured the tour was easy and took into account the need to feed and change the little one. We had a fantastic day walking along this iconic structure and capturing great photos of us all. Having a spacious air-conditioned van, drive and Sunflower as or guide made it amazingly easy. There were no problems and we had a lot of fun. I totally recommend Sunflower's tours

Look no further - you have found your tour AND your guide. I can say with absolute certainty that you will agree - Sunflower Li is the BOMB!!! Not only was the tour itself spectacular and informative but we truly felt like we were spending the day with a dear friend. She is simply delightful! Upbeat, fun, adorable, friendly, knowledgable and passionate about her home. We loved every minute with Sunflower and can't wait to see her again in the not too distant future.
Sunflower tailored our visit to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall to meet our needs and interests. I was traveling with my 12 year-old daughter on our way home from Cambodia and we had very limited time. We requested a tour of Mutianyu as well as stops in a small village and a typical city. She delivered on all three and exceeded expectations.
Here's the thing - Sunflower is just a naturally wonderful human. We could tell from the way she not only interacted with us but with everyone everywhere we went. She was smiley, friendly and helpful - funny, fun and knowledgeable. We loved touring with her!
The tour itself was also spectacular. We hiked the wall for nearly four hours, stopping frequently to take photos and admire the scenery. Dusted with snow and fairly empty, we were blessed with a perfect winter day of invigorating hiking with our wonderful guide. Sunflower knew all the best photo spots and moments and captured more highlights for us than we could possible fit on our walls at home. She is very high energy and easily kept up with our desired pace, climbing up to the top of the watchtowers and even joining us on the toboggan ride down to the base camp. She shared just enough of the history of the wall to provide us with context but could clearly read our body language and was able to adjust as needed.
My daughter asked a ton of questions and Sunflower enthusiastically answered all of them - even with regard to her own story and daily life in Beijing. By the end of the day, Sunflower and my daughter were chatting like long-time best friends and I have no doubt my daughter will keep in touch with her for years. My daughter is currently studying Mandarin and Sunflower also enjoyed practicing with her and offered to do video tutoring sessions in the future.
On our way back to central Beijing, we had a fun (quick) visit to a tiny but picturesque village near the wall and then had a longer stop at a suburb of Beijing.
It was a PERFECT day! She even provided tips for our independent exploring the next day, served as a master negotiator when we wanted to purchase items and arranged for our ride to the airport the next day.
We LOVE Sunflower and her tour company and HIGHLY recommend you book at tour with her as soon as possible!!

Sunflower is fun, interesting, energetic, easy to get along with, and very accommodating, At first we were nervous about committing to spending two days with someone we didn't know...what if we didn't like her? What if she was boring? She turned out to be infinitely likeable and so interesting!
There were group tours were all around us, being herded around like sheep, following their "flag" carrier and listening to bored tour guides talking in monotone voices (if they could get close enough to hear). Unlike those tours, we zipped in and out of the sites, going at the pace we wanted, listening to Sunflower who knows China's history inside out and makes it interesting. She tailors her details and stories to her audience. She is also delighted to share stories about today's China, giving you a glimpse into her own life and her friends and family, so that China really comes alive both past and present.
The price is quite reasonable given the incredible value she delivers. You have the peace of mind of knowing that she takes care of everything and all you have to do is sit back and let her work her magic!

We toured with Sunflower who we found out about from mutual friends to the Great Wall(easy access via car/driver, no lines at the entrance, amazing views) the Summer Palace, Forbidden City, Hutongs - all the great places in Beijing. Along the way we went pearl shopping, ate the incredible local food & had a blast the entire time. Sunflower was on time, easy to contact, so friendly & fun! We have since become lifetime friends after such an incredible trip. Would recommend her to anyone who has the privilege to visit China, such an unforgettable experience!
