Prior to going to the Galapagos Islands, we spent one entire day touring the city with the amazing bilingual private guide Cesar Luis of Transporte y Turismo. For a family of four, the tour was $220 + $60 tip. The Quito day tour was showing as sold out on TripAdvisor, so I emailed Jamie and Angela of Let's Go To Ecuador directly to get connected with Cesar Luis. We saw all the highlights of Quito: giant Virgin statue on the Panecillo, the awe-inspiring Basilica, Independence Square, San Francisco Church and Square, Compania Church, a chocolate factory, the Middle of the World monument, actual Middle of the World/Intinan Museum. We paid all admission fees ($2-10) as these weren't included in the tour cost. I thought I would feel ill during the tour due to the altitude, but after a cup of mate de coca tea for breakfast and some ibuprofen, I was fine. Cesar Luis knew the detailed history of all the sights we saw and made it super interesting. He also helped us take a lot of family photos. My husband and son climbed the ladder stairs suspended in air up the Falcon Tower at the Basilica along with Cesar Luis, while my daughter and I didn't as we are afraid of heights. We were still able to get incredible city views by climbing a less scary set of spiral stairs up one of the Basilica clock towers. For lunch, Cesar Luis took us to a traditional Chilean empanada (large baked or fried dumplings stuffed with meat or vegetables) place that was delicious - we insisted on paying for his lunch as well. Quito has an issue with crime and pickpockets (unlike the Galapagos), so Cesar Luis kept cautioning us to keep our backpacks in front of us. I found out later that he is a martial arts specialist, so that was also reassuring! Highly recommend this tour!

Jamie and Angela gave us a brilliant start to our trip. They are so knowledgeable and positive about Quito/Ecuador and what it has to offer.
Our tour was just what we wanted and exceeded our expectations of the city and environs. They are good company too. Book them whilst they are still available!

My family and me are very happy to have Jamie and Angela as our tour guides, they made the tour more memorable. They were always on time, the Cars were spotless and they were very accomodating and helpful in case we need something. Also, Angela was very generous in sharing her knowledge of Equador history. Equador had many sites we would like to visit and I would love to have Jamie and Angela as our tour guides again.

Jamie and Angela are wonderful and knowledgeable guides. They took us on a private custom tour of Quito, which was very informative and fun. I would highly recommend them to anyone going to Quito. As a travel agent, it is very important to find good reliable sources for tours in destinations. Jamie and Angela are just these people! I will definitely recommend them to all of my clients headed to this part of the world. Thank you both!

We had two awesome days in Quito, Ecuador with Angela and Jamie. First, they arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and transfer us to our hotel. The next day, they took us on a walking tour of the old town of Quito. They took us to a small local restaurant for lunch where the chef specializes in making empanadas. It was our best meal there! They also reccomended other local restaurants to eat in. Angela is Peruvian and Jamie is from Canada, but both are extremely knowledgeable about Ecuador, and love to show off their country, history and culture. They were very fun to spend the day with. Prompt and friendly!

We had an awesome time with Angela & Jamie! They were prompt, knowledgeable, friendly and just the best guides you can ask for! We had a great time on the City Tour. With a private lunch at a great local restaurant that made the best empanadas ever! It was a great tour!
Even after our tour, 3 weeks later after the Galapagos we had a long layover at the Quito Airport so we called up Angela & Jamie and asked if there was something to do until our departure. They were already booked but they arranged for a driver and made an appointment for a private tour at a local rose farm. This was very very nice of them to do this for us.
We can’t recommend them enough, they were fantastic!!!

We had one of the best experiences with Angela & Jamie Hally, starting from planning our trip, to booking, and to touring.
Angela & Jamie were very helpful, flexible, accommodating, and super responsive to our group of 8 travelers.

Hello, we are in Quito on January 31st and February 1st and wanted a city tour / middle of the world one day and Otavalo market , cuicocha lake perhaps the next. Does your trip include a boat ride on the lake - would you recommend it? Would the price be the same as the 2 tours you have here. I assume it’s not practical to go the forest in the clouds as well? I assume lunch is not included? But I assume you could take us to some nice restaurants? There are 2 of us, we are in our early 60s.
