Fun and informative hands-on experience

Our tour here was so much fun! While in some ways, this tour isn't a tour specific to Lima and could be done in some other city, our guide actually did go through the history of cacao in Peru specifically, which was very informative. We were walked through the process of making chocolate as well as many chocolate products such as hot chocolate and chocolate tea from cacao bean shells. Additionally we got to taste all of these products as well. We also got to take home our chocolates. It was nice to take a break from walking tours and do something hands on! I would recommend this tour.

Fun and delicious experience

This was great fun. I don't remember laughing so hard in a long time as we got to put on colorful hats and aprons and embark on our chocolate making experience. Elizabeth was our instructor and she was so much fun. Our chocolate tasted great, but it was truly the fun of making it together that made this experience special.

Chocky for a day

It was lots of fun. We had one day left in Lima and decided to come here based on a recommendation by our hotel. The most delicious activity after our entire Peru trip, because it was relaxed and we did not have to get up early.
The group was small and there was plenty of chocolate for everyone.
I would not pinpoint it as a must do in case you have not much time available, but in case you have one day free, go for it ;)

Our experience at bean to bar workshop at Chocomuseo was very informative and super entertaining.We went with our family and had a very good time learning about the stages of cocoa and the process of chocolate making.Marcelo was very friendly and patient!Thank you for such a lovely experience.

Nous venions pour regarder un peu la boutique et Alejandra nous a très gentiment expliquer l'histoire du chosolat et sa fabrication. Et nous a guider dans l'achat de nos produits.

Great way to spend a couple of hours!!!

We landed in Peru this morning and wanted something to do to start getting oriented. We saw this workshop and it sounded perfect for us. I booked directly through their website after we landed. Our instructor was Raul. He was super knowledgeable, explained the origin of chocolate, then we got to sample beans, roast them, crush into nibs, and make a chocolate paste. We then used the paste to make different types of hot chocolate. We then made our own candy with a nice selection of toppings, which we retrieved after about 15 minutes. Christopher & Karina, who also work there, were very helpful and greeted us when we first arrived and again when we came to pick our chocolate up. I definitely recommend this workshop! It was educational, fun, and delicious.

Enjoyable Experience

My husband and I had a delightful experience with our "teacher" Karina. She was charming and informative. It was a quiet afternoon with just the 2 of us so we had lots of opportunity to participate. I appreciated the fact that we truly got to choose the beans, roast them, crush then and taste. Making our own chocolate bars at the end was fun with all of the toppings. We would recommend this experience. Not only did we get to learn lots about chocolate but had some time with someone from the area who shared many insights of life in Lima.
