This should be the easiest review to write since the tour was simply spectacular. But I use reviews myself to choose companies so I want to give you as much helpful info as possible. So I’ll start at the beginning.
We traveled with another couple. My husband and I have traveled to 140+ countries (yes even North Korea) so we know what to expect from a great tour and guide.
George met us when the flight landed and took us to the car with our luggage (massive as we were all gone for 7 weeks in different climates) and many folks don’t think about how important the can is. His van is new. Comfortable. Seat belts work. But the best part is that there are many vents for the back air conditioner and we got to control it totally. If you’ve ever been a can without that you know how beneficial that is.
The hotel he chose for us was simply perfect. Our flight was late so we didn’t stay long that first night in Bucharest The location. Was right in old town and it was fun to walk around a bit at night. He had requested a room on the side without the loud party music. He thought of everything.
Driving with George is wonderful. First a great safe driver. But his knowledge and personality simply can’t be matched. He was such fun to be around from day one.
I won’t go Through every hotel and lunch and tour but each day was a fun day of touring and experiencing Romania. The trip to Viscri was really a bonus as well. Small Saxon village but the accommodations were wonderful, the food incredible.
He included lunch many times in the tour price. Some were homemade family style lunches and others were restaurants. we were always encouraged to get what we wanted.
We learned so much about Romania’s history and met some wonderful people. Touring Romania is the best company and George the best guide. Reschedule your trip if you must. (I’m sure there are other great guides and I’m sure he can refer you to them. But if possible I would hold out for George)
This trip was a highlight for our travels over the years.

We were fortunate to spend a week touring Transylvania with George. We had booked a trip with him pre-covid and when we had to cancel, he refunded the money that we had paid. Fortunately we were able to book again and this time, to travel with him. He is an excellent guide. He is so knowledgeable about all subjects and is more than happy to share all of this. His driving is very good and he keeps his van in immaculate condition. We loved the way he was so flexible and accommodating of our needs. We shared some tasty and authentic meals together and chatted as if we were old friends. If you are looking for a private tour in Romania with a person who understands your requirements, speaks excellent English and is fun to be with, I would not hesitate to recommend him.

I have never gone on a guided tour before and this tour was great. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. We got to see places in Romania that changed my opinion of the country from my first impression. I could not think of a better way to see Romania. The tour can be tweaked if you find something that you wanted to ad or remove. Lots of beautiful country roads, mountains and forests. If anyone has issues with car sickness bring medication but all in all a great trip.. If anyone has issues with car sickness bring medication but all in all a great trip.

I visited Romania with my family a while back, and we had the most amazing time visiting medieval cities in Transylvania with George.
I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the history of Romania and Transylvania specifically.
Particular highlights of the trip include the Christmas market in Sibiu and the traditional lunch in a village in Transylvania.
George is an incredible guide and such a fun character to have along for the journey.

We booked George for a private tour for our family.
George was amazing. Very knowledgeable, efficient and flexible. He covered popular and must-see places but also recommended and customised the itinerary to include other less touristy sites to ensure that we were able to maximise our trip.
He was professional and was a great guide and driver. Every day was planned to the detail and at each location, he provided clear and concise explanations of the sites. The accommodations had great locations and were within walking distance so there were things to do even after dinner.
Touring with George was an unforgettable experience and truly memorable. We enjoyed the trip very much and highly recommend George to anyone planning a trip to Romania!

George was a knowledgeable tour guide and driver combined. He was able to customise the tour to our liking, covering all of Romania rather than just one area only. He delivers key and succinct content, relevant to our understanding of Romania and keeps it engaging. Extremely professional and all in all one of the better guides we have engaged in all our years of travelling.
The itenary was customised to our liking, George was extremely flexible in that. We were given a tour of the cities we visited, explaining needed details of each place and in the afternoons given free and easy time to roam and explore the city, which we appreciated.
Accommodations each night did not disappoint, all clean and highly ranked with tripadvisor/ booking.com.
All in all, it was an excellent tour of Romania, we covered main areas of the whole country and key UNESCO sites in a week. Would recommend this tour guide!

This Covid 19 crise is so teriblle and tourism is very affected, but I am sure we gonna enjoy travelling again !

George was an excellent guide and driver creating a vivid and memorable journey around Bucharest and Transylvania. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed our time with him, spending just the right amount of time at each location. George is very personable and friendly. Thank you for being our guide.

We are a family of 6 from Singapore. George was very professional in organizing the tour for us. What surprised me was when he asked on the measurements of our luggage, so he could rent a comfortable van to fit all of us. We were happy that it wasn’t in a small car, so it was quite comfortable.
The hotels selected were quite quaint, all were > 9 ranking on booking.com and on TripAdvisor. The payment of the tour was handled professionally. And the information given to us on Romania was easy to understand and communicate. We also like the itinerary of the tour - and free & easy time given in each town. We liked the village lunch - something less touristy and got to interact with the locals.
What could be improved was we wish that there would have been some time for lunch stops so we can enjoy lunch for at least half an hour to an hour. We wouldn’t have minded reaching the town a bit later. But this was a small issue.
Overall, touring Romania with George was fun, safe, and also you can trust him to deliver what he promises. Will definitely recommend to my friends and tour Romania with him again!

George was absolutely incredible. Not only was he able to customize the trip to our exact specifications, he was invaluable in providing constant guidance and support throughout the booking process and tour. He was very flexible and was happy to accommodate any change in schedule/plans whilst we were there. He really made our holiday one to remember. All the hotels he booked us into were beautifully located and absolutely perfect. He ensured that we were able to see all the important sights at our own pace whilst giving us the freedom to explore each city on our own. I would highly recommend his services to anyone wanting to come and explore this beautiful country!

My wife and I (only) enjoy visiting a Country with a private guide allowing us flexibility in Travel. George was really terrific. Prior to leaving, we exchanged emails with George for several weeks helping us create the exact itinerary we wanted ..What I liked best is that when we visited an area, he inquired if there was anything "special" going on which lead to us attending a wedding and annual Festival .. or just stopping suddenly on road and joining a couple forking hay. We requested visiting locals when possible and with his local knowledge and contacts, were able to do so on many occasions. We had a great time in Romania with George

Indeed, a great tour with so many surprises ! Tanjaua Festival in Maramures was a great find ! The same when we crushed the traditional wedding in Maramures :)) Great memories ! Thanks !
