We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Montenegro whilst on our one week holiday in Dubrovnik. It was organised very well by the company, and it was a busy and fun filled day of exploring Perast, Our Lady of the Rocks and Kotor. The Old Town of Kotor was beautiful, and we had a very delicious meal in one of the restaurants. The staff were very friendly.
Myself and my husband would like to give a special mention to Tony, our tour guide for the day, and we really hope this reaches him. Tony was such a great, friendly and jolly person. He realised we were Welsh after seeing our passports once we got on the bus in the morning, and made an effort to say a few words in Welsh which he had previously learned - we were so impressed! The fact that he took the time to show an interest in our country was wonderful. We soon realised as the bus picked up more people along the way that he could speak fluent Croatian, French and English - and maybe more! A very bright and intelligent man.
Thank you for a great day / diolch yn fawr am ddiwrnod gwych! 🏴

Firstly the bus didn't arrive at our hotel until 15mins past the scheduled time, then we had to stop and pick up clients at a number of different hotels, including the airport, which meant when we reached the Montenegrin border, we were already significantly behind schedule. I know that there are delays at the border crossing, but they could have been anticipated and the tour pickups schedule for early in the morning.
Secondly and more disappointing was that whilst we had a diverse range of nationalities on the tour, our guide, Tony, was biased towards the French speaking participants. I have a passing knowledge of French and therefore could pick up that the explanation/travelogue that Tony gave in French was far more detailed than the English version.
When we arrived at Perast, as we were behind the schedule there was not time to explore the town, we were straight on the water taxis to Our Lady of the Rocks. When we entered the church Tony handed the English-speaking customers over to another guide, who provided us with a brief explanation before leaving us to visit the rest of the building/museum. Tony took the French-speaking customers, providing them with more details and taking twice as long to do so - which again put us well behind schedule.
On arriving in Kotor where we were then handed off again to an English-speaking guide, whilst Tony took the French-speakers off on a more personal guide of the city.
Similarly on the bus ride back to Dubrovnik, Tony, having built up a rapport with the French-speakers, spent most of the trip chatting and talking to them in French, ignoring for the most part the other customers.
I felt that I was just treated as another number on this day tour, which was a shame as I was really looking forward to exploring and learning about Montenegro.

The stop in Perast to visit the church took a long time due to the queues and it didn’t really feel worth it. The time would have been better spent in Kotor, which is beautiful, but our stop there was too short. Our guide and driver were both great, the guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

We got picked up from Hotel Croatia in Cavtat for this fantastic day trip to Montenegro. We booked via our Jet2 rep and think it cost us roughly £46pp.
Our guide Barbara was very friendly and talked us through the history of the two countries along the way. We were lucky that our group was fairly small (probably around 14 folk or so) and that border crossings were a breeze.
Montenegro is a must visit country and it was good to get that insight as we drove into Kotor.
Shoutout to our driver who had to navigate some tricky streets due to horrendous parking by locals.

Really interesting tour with the perfect tour guide. A local guy with perfect English, Daniel gave us an incredible insight into Balkans history. Mario, the bus driver, negotiated the windy roads with real expertise and gave confidence to all on board on what was quite an exhilarating route!
Interesting sights, excellent commentary on the journey, humour when the immigration queues were quite long and Daniel went out of his way to make the tour interesting and enjoyable for our whole party including the youngest members who might otherwise have been less interested in the historical tour and sights. Thank you Daniel and Mario for an excellent tour

Nice tour to Montenegro, well organised tour, beautiful sites, border crossing can take some time with a big tour, lots of passports etc, but on the whole, well worth it.

Kotor is a lovely beautiful town narrow streets great atmosphere and great views from the walls. You also get to see amazing scenic views into the bay which is well worth the trip!
The tour guide was pleasant very knowledgeable. But we was leaving budva at 3:45pm we was walking to the bus literally in the car park 30m away from the bus and as I looked down at my phone it was 3:46 and the bus starts pulling out to leave. Luckily they saw us and stopped. The excuse was, “I’ve just realised, as I counted that you was missing” but he was sat down so I’m not sure what to believe if they saw us and stopped or he did actually count and therefore the bus stopped. But the bus shouldn’t even start moving until everyone is back! In kotor we didn’t leave the bus station bang on the time and some people got back 2/3 mins late!
Budva we found cheap and nasty, and ruined by ugly bars and ugly high apartments and hotels on the beach front! And beaches packed out! On the other hand the old town was pleasant but it’s tiny so not lots to do or see.
I would advise Perast over Budva! Looked a much nicer town driving past unfortunately we wasn’t able to stop there on our particular trip.

Yes but there is so much history and fascinating places in Kotor itself - I think going swimming after coming from Dubrovnik would be a total waste of your time and you would miss the charms of Kotor
