We went as a family of four for the 5pm horse ride. It was a lovely small group, just five of us with Pero the owner as our guide. The location is beautiful and peaceful and the view on the trail absolutely spectacular.
The stables and equipment were first rate and we were made to feel very welcome by the small team on site. The horses were really well behaved and I as a beginner felt completely comfortable. The route takes in secluded trails through the forest and along the coastline with a lovely walk through a village as well. The half way stop offers spectacular views.
In return there was a lovely sandwich and wine / water to end the activity with. It is quite expensive, but was it worth it? Definitely, wouldn’t hesitate to do it again next time we are here. Our family highlight of this holiday for sure.

First we booked though our hotel and paid an extra € 44 for the privilege rather than booking on line so €140 each then when we got picked up they only had one booking even though we paid €280 and the driver made us talk to the guide on the way so when we got there there wasn’t enough ponies for us and the guide so the guide had to walk. He seemed to be preoccupied on his phone most of the time and a bit of a kill joy and l felt he put the fear of god into the other 5 guest who hadn’t ridden before, also l was hoping for a better experience as l’ve ridden before but it was just a very slow walk not even a trot.
we had know refreshment ie water on the hack, then when we got back to the stables l wasn’t expecting much in the way of food because it wasn’t about the food but we literally had 10 minutes we didn’t finish the wine. Didn’t even touch most of it and then he said are you ready to go home and we were all hushed back to the van to go home very disappointed. We’ve done the same on other holidays and had an amazing experience, l went with experienced riders and my husband went with unexperienced we then met at different points.

A lovely evening on a relaxing trail ride along the coast and through the forest. Spectacular mountain and cliff views along the way, even riding through a local village. The horses were great and clearly well looked after. Highly recommend the experience!

Very nice horseback riding, beautiful landscapes at sunset. At the end, water, wine and ham and cheese sandwich (quite good). Transfer from the hotel well organized. On the other hand, only walking, no trotting or galloping because it is open to beginners.

A wonderful ride through vineyards, olive groves, villages and mountain vistas. Our ride was about 2 1/2 hours long with a nice rest stop at a beautiful spot overlooking the Adriatic Sea. This was a small group ride geared for all riding levels. Upon on return to the stables we were treated to sandwiches & wine. It was a memorable experience that we highly recommend.

I LOVE horse riding. I have owned horses since I was 9 years old. Now that I am not working full time, as well as owning 3 horses, I choose to earn a few extra dollars with work for Cradle Country Adventures, as a horse riding tour guide in many incredibly beautiful locations in Tasmania, Australia. Therefore I feel I am well qualified to rate my experience . The transport to the venue was great with stunning views during the trip and the drive comfortable and not too long. The yards/gardens/stables/horses and gear were ALL top rate. All horses in good condition, bridles and saddles well oiled and looked after. I had stable envy too. We were welcomed and given our helmets before being introduced to our horses. The horses stood quietly where placed (untied) and our guide who was the owner one by one helped each of us mount. I was surprised that he did not do a pre-ride briefing. My friend who came with me had little to no riding experience. When our guide was helping my friend to get comfortable on her horse, I tried to let him know that she had ankle issues and could he please lengthen her stirrups. He rudely held an open hand in front of my face and told me to be quiet. So I stood quietly. He then helped me mount my horse with quick instructions on how to hold reins. We headed off, the horses were all very well trained and performed as I would expect from experienced trail horses. They were great. The views of the cliff and the lanes and the little village we passed through were quite stunning and it was quiet and peaceful. A lovely evening ride except that our guide only took one photo of each of us. Thank goodness I took photos myself (always with at least one hand on the reins) . The guide turned at one stage and told me (not asked, told in a very gruff voice) to put two hands on the reins as I was riding one handed. Earlier he had told me that the horse neck reined when we first started (those that know how to ride would know that you usually ride one handed when neck reining) . He then proceeded to ride one handed while talking on the phone, THEN took both hands off the reins to work his phone. He continued to be gruff with all of us until the end of the ride. But was as sweet as after the ride while we were eating our refreshments. In Summary, everything about the ride was excellent except for our guide. He was grumpy, gruff, uninformative and rude. He made no attempt to talk to us or inform us about our surroundings or the history of the area. Looking at the reviews, Barbara (great name) seems to have had great reviews, and you should request her as your guide so that your experience is not adversly affected by rudeness.

Dear Barbara, all our reviews are important to us, and we take the negative aspects seriously. I was the instructor that day and was leading your group, I hope you will agree that on the site there can be only one instructor and I am responsible for all of your safety. It is imperative that everyone listens carefully & concentrates on the important instructions I give that day. It was very difficult to do this when you were talking at the same time and giving your friend instructions. It was not possible for me to put my hand in front of your face as everyone was on the horses and you were at least 2 metres away from me. I did use a hand gesture just to ask you to listen while i'm giving instructions to your friend. It's very difficult to talk to the group while we are riding as I am in front of a line of 6 horses. We are using the phone during the tour to contact our colleagues to inform them that we were coming to the point where the snacks and drinks are prepared and making pictures of our guests or to inform colleagues if we notice something on the trail that needs to be fixed. Our focus is always only to put safety first.

Brilliant fun!! Four of us went horse riding and after re-finding our “horse legs” after a four year break from our last ride we were able to sit back and enjoy the ride. The horses are well cared for and the route offers spectacular scenery. By the end of the trip I had made friends with my horse and he had even decided that we didn’t always need to venture into the path of the nearest tree or bush!!
Upon arriving back at the ranch we were treated to a sandwich and a drink (oh and some time with the lovely dogs)
Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone 😊

Gorgeous trail with a beautiful sunset 🌅. Would recommend wearing trousers or you’ll end up with saddle sores 😆😆! Great guide & a memorable experience

What a lovely way to spend an afternoon..... We took the afternoon/evening tour, and enjoyed it immensely. Both me and my partner had only ridden twice before , but you soon felt as ease in in the hands of your horse and guide; and by the end of it i felt like a pro, it was that easy and relaxing. I was worried it may be too hot with temperatures hitting 34', but not at all, as the height, breeze and trees kept you cool. The trek from the ranch takes you up the hills through woodland and along stony trails, which really make it feel authentic; until you reach the halfway point with great views over the sea. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, and you'll soon find yourself letting the horse do it's thing, while you take lots of photo's. You cannot take bags or water with you, and this is the only thing i would say could be improved on...... Although there were refreshments when you returned to the ranch, it would have been better to have these at the halfway point where we all dismounted to take in the views and rest.
The only other little issue we had was that we were picked up by a saloon car taxi, and had to pick up another younger couple 10 mins from the ranch, thus three of us on the back seat of the car, and neither of them were wearing masks; which of course they should have been in these times. But i feel this is the fault of the taxi driver for not insisting that they did; and thus put us in an awkward position before we even started. Luckily this was soon at the back of our minds with the enjoyment of the riding.
The only other little issue we had was that we were picked up by a saloon car taxi, and had to pick up another younger couple 10 mins from the ranch, thus three of us on the back seat of the car, and neither of them were wearing masks; which of course they should have been in these times.
