Mi pareja y yo tuvimos una excelente experiencia! Nuestro equipo fue Don Julio al volante, Angelica coordinando toda nuestra visita y tomándonos fotos brutales y Viktor haciendo nuestro recorrido por Palenque (Palenge).
Amamos haber tenido la experiencia de conocer un poco la cultura palenquera y su historia! Amamos aprender algunas palabras en su idioma y disfrutamos muchÃsimo el boxeo!
La comida excepcional! muy recomendado este tour para las personas interesadas en hacer algo cultural y diferente en Cartagena. Por favor tener en cuenta que hay que lleva efectivo para no solo comprar artesanÃas hermosas sino para ayudar durante el recorrido a la comunidad! Todas las donaciones son bienvenidas y una inmensa ayuda!

This tour was incredible! The guides were super knowledgeable, we got to speak with people around town and we learned a lot about Palenque’s rich history and the preservation of its culture. I was really impressed with this tour!

Buscábamos tener una experiencia local y cultural diferente. Aprendimos muchÃsimo, Alberto fue buenÃsima, nos hicieron sentir en casa. Gracias! Disfrutamos mucho el viaje. Maria hizo el proceso de reserva fácil y relajado. Jenny y Jimmy fueron excelentes en el servicio y trato. A penas sentimos que estamos en un tour! Muchas gracias!

This trip to Palenque was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend. Jhon was such a knowledgeable and kind tour guide. The drive there was longer than I anticipated but we made a nice pit stop to another town to break it up where Jhon gave us some more history. The tour was very well thought out and organized. And the food they served at the end was delicious! It was extremely hot and walking-intensive so definitely wear comfortable clothes/shoes and have your own water. Sunscreen is also a must.
But don’t miss out on this tour! The culture is incredible and it’s so worth the trip out there.

I was very disappointed because they changed the date of the tour without calling me or leaving a message on phone or email me! I got nothing and no tour either! I want a refund of my money. TripAdvisor you can do a better job than this! The one tour I really wanted to take was taken away cause of the inconsideration of the company and there associates

I’ve not had a major issue with the many excursions I’ve booked so far with Trip Advisor - until now. The tour guide I was matched with initially did not speak any English, and this was an English speaking tour. Turns out this is the companies way of saving money, by not wasting a seat…just to be handed off to a different group when we got to Palenque. Another interesting thing I’ve not seen on any other trip, was the tour guide had both kids with her. Strange there was a van full of tourists and two of her kids. Not a problem, but strange. Once there the experience was good until the last hour, there was only one protein option which was a whole fish, which I can’t eat. So, I settled with rice and small salad. No other protein option was offered. Also, it was unpleasant watching the starving and thirsty animals running around, no one seemed to care that they were hungry and thirsty. There were a few dogs that appeared on the brink of death with ribs protruding. Every house we stopped at within Palenque were asking for tips/donations. They were pushy about us socializing with the locals who were in a crowded small tent for an festival. They claim COVID doesn’t exist there….yeah right. I stayed outside of the tent most of the time, as it wasn’t worth getting stuck in Columbia. Waste of an hour. Then they attempted to squeeze me into the back seat of a car, with two other tourists…again, I didn’t arrive that way and we were already sweaty and uncomfortable of being on top of each other for the long drive back. I asked them to just allow me to rejoin my original group. Not a tour I’d do again.

The fist part was, the tour start on Palenque town, and we find the local guide (main guide of Palenque), this guides are spoken English,we offer the round trip transportation, the woman with her 2 children, she is from Palenque, we are one a race in San Basilio, we have no distinctions whatsoeve, we enlarged family, even with children, they are native persons, she is the auxiliary guide, ( it's not necessary that she speak English, because the speech it's in charge the main guide From Palenque, 2, as tour operators, we take a tourist on a recurring basis, in shared tours in vehicles according to the number people, it's normally have different nationality in a single group, with this tour we have the opportunity to make our culture known, like our traditions, ancestral knowledge, ways of the life, our culture is also represented Typical food, and we offer very delusions Fish, the woman from Palenque win a international food award, for this reason we show it through our typical dishes, the food is plentiful and repeatable, 3. Part of the ways of life and economy is the raising the animals like a pigs, goats, horses and it's normally to see walking between the people, 4.the socialization is the part of our culture and the sample of our activities, this Tay we have representative festivals, we want to show our visitors, 5. Yes we work community tourism or tourism care, for their economy we suggest the tips/donations, and they can work again for the live culture, 6. To want to know what a people really is like, who over the years to which they were subjected, maintain their roots knowledge from generation to generation, it's necessary to have opened and expectant mind of how wonderful it's to see this realities.7. the COVID in Palenque it's no arrive any one, because they have natural medicine with plants, they are proud to have these acquaintances 8. Yes we separated you that the initial group because the other group speak french, and you needs to go the English spoken guide .9. the vans was to 13 pax and the group was 8 including 2 small kid's auxiliary Palenque guide 10. The tour compelted we give all I propose. 11. The other visitors enjoying so much the festivas , food , culture, people, young people, really enjoy, they can tell us like a reweed 12. This tour was Incredible and I look forward to actually taking it again next time I’m in Cartagena. The People of Palenque were amazing and the tour was extremely eye opening. Thank You to our wonderful tour guide and driver for being so welcoming and informative throughout the entire car ride and tour.
