Thank you to Ash for organising an excellent trip from Safaga Port to Luxor. Easy booking process, comfortable mini van for the 3 hour journey each way. Dr Mohammed was a superb guide and Egyptologist, plenty of information but not overwhelming and the tour was customised at every step for our group of 4. Surprise highlight was lunch on a felucca sailing the Nile. Highly recommend.

I am pleased to share my experience with Luxor Private Tour, a tour company that organized our visit to both Cairo and Luxor, Egypt. Our trip was remarkable because we arrived on a cruise ship and were picked up at the port in Safaga and driven to Cairo for the day. There were three drivers in our van that were instructed to get us to Cairo as quickly as possible. And they did!
Despite the long drive, everything went smoothly, and we were able to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx, which is an experience that should not be missed when visiting Egypt. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided fascinating insights into the history of these iconic landmarks.
After the tour of Cairo, the company made sure we were transferred to the airport in time for our flight to Luxor, where we were picked up and shown to our hotel. The next morning, we had an incredible hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, which was a highlight of the trip.
The tour company took care of everything meticulously, ensuring that all booking aspects were taken care of, and all flight and hotel arrangements were made flawlessly.
Our Luxor tour guide, Mohammed, was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a professional and informative tour. We were impressed by his insights into the history and culture of Egypt. Plus, we enjoyed his company.
Ash, the tour coordinator, was always available and efficient in ensuring that everything ran smoothly. And as an added bonus, Ash joined us for a catered lunch on a private boat on the Nile, which was a lovely touch and a great opportunity to enjoy local, Egyptian food.
Overall, Luxor Private Tours did an exceptional job of organizing our trip from the port in Safaga to Cairo and Luxor. Ash and his Luxor Private Tour team did a fantastic job of organising a day trip to Luxor. We were staying in Soma Bay, they picked us up on time, we travelled to Luxor in a private mini bus. When we arrived, we first collected our tour guide, Professor Mohamed who was great, so knowledgeable and very friendly (speaking perfect English). He described the context of Luxor, it's historical significance before escorting us to the Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III, then onto the valley of the Kings, where we visited 3 tombs. He then took us to Medinet Habu Temple, before visiting a local craft shop. Ash surprised us with a private boat trip on the Nile with an amazing selection of food and drink for lunch. Finally we travelled to Al Karnak Temple where again Mohamed talked us through the various dynastic sections of the great Temple.
Overall a fantastic experience, well organised by Ash and his team, and executed perfectly by Mohamed and the drivers. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was flexible to what we wanted. Well done to all. We would thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking of taking the plunge!

After excellent communications through the booking process with Ash relating what we could and couldn’t do with a wheelchair we were met at the cruise ship and driven to Luxor. Ash suggested a night stop so as to pace out tour better as my wife is a full time wheelchair user - what a great suggestion and it made it so much more relaxed.
The tour of the sites around Luxor was excellent and our tour guide was a fountain of knowledge. The driver assisted me with lifting my wife in/out of the vehicle and allowed her to participate fully in all aspects of our tour. Ash melts tabs on us throughout the tour making sure we were looked after the whole time and his attention to detail was very good.

Our cruise stopped at Safaga for an overnight stay and we chose the Luxor Day Tour. Our tour operator contacted us a few days before and suggested that we stay overnight in Luxor as the drive in was long and we could see much more over that time period. We agreed.
Our drivers met us at the port and we began the journey to Luxor. Drive was nearly three hours and neither spoke much English so we enjoyed the desert scene and the many mounds/bumps in the road to control traffic and act as check points.
On the outskirts we met Ash, the tour operator , who spoke English very well and took us to meet our guide,Salaam, an Egyptologist, who also spoke very good English. He would be with us for the two days.
Our first stop was at the Karnak Temple where we were awestruck by the structures and size of the area. Salaam was priceless. The information and explanations were excellent. His knowledge was mindboggling. His use of an IPad to enhance his explanations was most helpful . He was also very helpful when it came to getting my husband and his scooter over stairs or inclines. This allowed us to take in everything we wanted to see and do and more.
After a late lunch break, we visited the Luxor Temple, another phenomenal area. Salaam made sure we were in the right place when the sun set to provide a spectacular photo opportunity. After a short rest at the hotel, Ash had a lovely surprise for us. We got a horse drawn caleche driven by a young man who called his horse Lamborghini, to the market where Ash met us and took us through the souk. He advised on what was quality and what was not and even helped us get better prices.
A stop for a lemon blueberry mint shisha at a local shop completed an excellent day.
The next day, our driver picked us up after breakfast. We had an early start, met our guide and made our way to the Valley of the Kings. Salaam continued to fill our minds with information.
It was a hot day but being a private tour we were able to bypass large groups and get around more efficiently. Visiting 3 different tombs and having the differences explained was most interesting.
We also had the opportunity to see how papyrus was/is made and then painted and to visit a basalt carving shop. Our driver made sure we were returned in plenty of time to our ship. We would highly recommend this tour with Ash if you really wish to learn about Luxor and avoid large groups. He ensured that we got the best experience in a short time period.

I cannot even possibly express enough adequate praise to properly illustrate just how impressive this tour company is to work with. Initially I had been hesitant to book private tours and had pre arranged cruise tours for our Middle East excursions due to not being as familiar with the potential for immigration and security challenges in the various ports of call but after two geriatric cruise tours of bathroom breaks every fifteen minutes and cattle call bus torture I knew we needed an escape plan for our much anticipated visit to Egypt .. From the moment I sent my Whats App inquiry to the owner (Ashram) it was clear that we were in good hands as his communication was flawlessly responsive, positive and professional. But it was the actual execution of every element of our incredible visit that puts this service provider head and shoulders above the rest. There was not a moment where we were navigating alone unescorted throughout the day for a single second. From the exceptional pre-communication to the timely pickup at the port to the visits with both a tour guide and private driver to each of the sites to our perfectly timed return to the ship there was not a single hollow note or concern for safety and security. Our comfort, satisfaction and overall experience were their number one priority and it was plainly evident throughout our visit . Genuinely could not have been better and our family has made lifelong memories here that we could not be more grateful for. Already dreaming of our next visit to Egypt and there's zero question who we will be working with to lead the way .. Thanks so very much Ashraf and team for a Holiday to remember!!
