- 174pernillel0 bidragFantastisk 3 dager safariJeg dro på gruppetur med 18 andre venninner og vi bestilte en tre dager safari med Meru Slopes. Ikke bare var det veldig lønnsomt, men vi følte også vi ble godt tatt vare på under hele turen. I bilen jeg satt i hadde vi Adam som guide, og han var utrolig flink! Ikke bare var safarien veldig bra planlagt og tilrettelagt, men maten var også utrolig god og ble laget av to flink kokker som ble med på turen! Incredible experience with Meru Slopes over our 5-Day Safari! Each park has something new and exciting to offer and the likelihood of seeing all animals native to each park is very high. We had a fantastic team of people helping us at Meru including our guide/driver Godfrey, our chef Gadi, and the person helping us book Jerome. Godfrey, Gadi, and Jerome consistently met our needs and even went beyond expectations to make sure we were taken care of.
I would highly recommend Meru Slopes to anyone looking to do a safari in Tanzania!

I did a 5day budget safari and 1 day Mateuni waterfall and Chemka hot spring. Everything organized very well! Meru slopes owner and other members of the company are very friendly and nice. I would like to go with my family again. Tanzania is a very beautiful country where nice people and wonderful animals are happily living! Thank you Meru slopes family!

I wanted to have a once-in-a-lifetime amazing mother-son adventure with my oldest son -- and I could not have chosen anything better than the 5-day camping safari with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris! Our guide, Andrew, was amazing in his ability to spot even the most well-camouflaged wildlife -- and his driving skills were beyond awesome! We learned so much from him. Our cook, Gadi, saw to it that we had plenty of delicious food. Talk about leaving the world behind! It was as if the sky and the Serengeti were all that exist . . . My son was so enthralled with the whole experience that he is already planning to go back and take his wife. Neither of us could have dreamed we would get so close to the animals and be able to observe so closely Nature at its best. I will always treasure the experience, and I am so glad I got to share it with my son.

Everything was well organized. The Guide was always on time. We visited all kinds of animals. The car was quite comfortable. The Guide was familiar with the places visited. He was always clean on him.

Right from contacting Meru Slopes & Safaris in late June for visiting Tarangire, Serengiti and Ngorongoro, till the end of the Safari our experience was amazing. The trust we place on Meru proved worthy.
Initially we were contacted by Jerome of Meru as our tourist consultant. He was available over WA, and advised us on almost all aspects of our travel. He helped us booking our bus tickets from Arusha to Dar Es Salam as we were interested in enjoying the landscape of Tanzania. It transpired that what he told and promised on behalf of Meru were fulfilled totally.
While touring the forests, our guide cum driver was Dunhill, a really knowledgeable person with huge experience. He replied to all our queries with smiling face. He was always looking for some good things in the forests. On his guidance we came across almost everything possible in a 5 day safari. We saw Lions eating there prey, a buffalo. We observed from close distance lions skinning the buffalo. We saw lions from almost a handshaking distance drinking water from roadside accumulated water. We saw elephant herds every hour. Zebra, Girrafe, Hippos, Buffalos, Gajals, Gidgids, Impalas, Hyenas, Jackals, Wlidbessts,and what not, and also a Rhino in Ngorongoro. Birds like
Flamingos,Pelicans, Secretary Bird, Crown Craines were sighted. Dunhil took all the efforts and experience to make those possible. Best part of our visit was the sighting of Wildbeest migration. That was a lifetime experience, made possible by Dunhil.
Gidoane, popularly known as Godom Godo was our chef. We were served tasty lunch, breakfast and dinner everyday. It was because of Gidoane.
We found the company of Dunhil and Gidoane during these five days enthralling. They served us with always smiling face. We cannot forget them.
We were on a group tour with another family of three from Italy, Paulo, Thomaso and Lucia. They were also nice companions.
Our Safari experience was superb. Thank you Meru. Thank you Dunhil, Gidoane and Jerome.

Definitely the best value for money tour!!

Great experience. Very happy with our guide Andrew and our chef Salim. Great guiding, and good food!
We stayed in tents which worked just fine. Waking up to lions roaring 1 km away is not something you do everyday! There can be some noise at the camps from other guest, so be sure to bring some earplugs. Recommend company, would easily use them again :)

Stanley was an excellent guide in the safari. He asked us at the beginning what we wanted to see and did everything he could to complete our wishes. He was also an excellent driver and we felt very safe throughout even on the insanely bumpy roads. We were completely catered for including drinks and wifi in the truck! I would highly recommend!

We joined tour "5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater & Visiting Maasai" starting from July 26, 2024. This tour was offered by MERU SLOPES TOURS AND SAFARIS. We were very much satisfied with the entire tour, literally from the very beginning to the very end. The entire program was faithfully executed as described in TripAdvisor and other online platforms. On Day 1, we were picked up from our hotel in Arusha, and then had a good breakfast at the Meru Slopes arranged Arusha Tourist Inn restaurant. On Day 5, we slept at the same very nice Arusha Tourist Inn hotel. When we asked how to get to the shuttle bus to Nairobi next day after Day 5, Meru Slopes manager Geofrey immediately arranged taxi with no charge on us. That was clearly outside their normal program scope. They just always try to make guests easy and happy on everything. During 5 days of safaris, our guide/driver Rashid actively encouraged everybody in the car to form a family and help each other to achieve the common goal: to spot as many animals along the way as possible. He himself was certainly highly skillful in spotting animals and driving to the best positions to view them. We were able to see exciting wildebeests migrating (although not seen crossing Mara River), leopard hidden on top of tree, lions, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, various antelopes, birds, many elephants, zebras, girrafs, warthogs, hyenas etc. The tour facilitated a binocular and a local animal textbook. These plus our guide/driver Rashid's timely explanation, made us learn a lot while enjoying dream-like view of wild animals. He emphasized over and over again "If you respect Nature, Nature will respect you", which was so fundamentally true. Our chef Booga, prepared every meal for us, which was always so warm, healthy and delicious. The camping contitions were much better than what we expected. Basic water, washroom, shower, electricity were adequate enough, although some glitchs like power outages did happen. All in all, we highly recommend this tour for anyone who has a dream of doing a safari in Africa. It was so interesting, enjoyable and rewarding. Our choice of Meru Slopes is a great one.

The nights before and at the end of safari were in a hotel in Arusha. The first Safari night was a glamping tent, cot/mattress with electric and attached toilet /shower.
The other three nights were in a tent on a mattress at a public campsite. We were comfortable and safe at all of them. There was limited hot water for showers for two nights. But the last campsite had good hot water again.

We are very interested in booking this tour, however we also would like to book a hot air balloon safari in Serengeti. At which point in the intenary would you suggest we should do this? Would it be possible to do it on day 4 before heading to Ngorongoro?

About the ballon safari you will do it on Day 3 before you go for your full day gamedrive .The balloon safari gives you an aerial view of the serengeti national park
