I am that typical guy who is sceptical towards camping. However I was really pleasantly suprised by how well everything was arranged and how cool it actually is to sleep in nature. At night you can hear all the animals! There was even an elephant in our camp during the night. Also, all of the gear (tents etc.) looked brand new. That is because everything gets cleaned very well after each trip. The safari car gets even cleaned during the trip multiple times. This was especially convient when an entire group of baboons was peeing on the car (sounds nasty, it also was so, however it is one of those memories which will stick).
Our tour guide was Benji and our chef was Machete. These two guys made our trip very special! Of course the nature is literally the most beautiful I have seen in my life. The scenery and all of the wild animals up close is the best thing ever and will be impossible to top. But these two guys made it even more enjoyable. The great times we had during and after the game drives talking and laughing was great. We got cool information about the animals and about all of Tanzania but also got to know eachother. This was particularly easy because we always got served the best food. All of the other tourist had to be jealous.
To conclude, if you want the best trip of your life? Than I certainly would recommend you Serengeti Wakanda tours. And of course you must ask for Benji and Machete our kaka's!

In one word: AMAZING!!! You have to do this trip! We did the 7-day (budget) safari and absolutely saw everything we hoped to see. It exceeded our expectations (even though we hate camping). Our guide Benji became our Kaka (brother) and showed us the beauty of Tanzania and the hospitality of its people. He gave us information on more than just the animals and their behaviors and he made us feel comfortable and very welcome. We were amazed by his buddy, the talented cook Machete, who made meals we didn't know were possible to make without a real kitchen.
Overall, if you want to see Tanzania, learn from great ambassadors and have a good time with lots of laughter, then you have to go on safari with Benji en Manchete from Wakanda!

Ein absoluter Traum! Wir haben Anfang Januar eine 6 Tage Safari Budget Tour durchgeführt und ja, es war noch so viel schöner als in all den Berichten.
Warum? Andrew und Dullah, Guide und Chefkoch, lassen keine Wünsche offen, sind hilfsbereit, sehr seriös, mega kompetent & soo herzlich!
Wir danken euch für diese unvergessliche Zeit und natürlich danke für die BIG 5!

We spent 7 days and 6 nights visiting Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro e Lake Maniara. We can say just one world: AMAZING. Our guide was Andrew. He is a very experienced guide and a good driver, he is very polite and super nice: We think he is the best guide you can find! Finding animals can depend on weather, period of the year, moment of the day and luck, of course, but if an animal is around, for sure he will find it! Our chef was Sule: he is a really good chef, ready to satisfy our needs and preferences. And maybe you won't believe it, but he even bakes fresh bread every day! Also Bartho, the owner of the company, was really honest and serious and everything gone as by agreeements. We had read many 5/5 reviews for Serengeti Wakanda before our tour began and we can't do anything different now that we lived this wonderful experience. We really recommend this company and this special trip! Thank you very much!

My son and I did the 7-day budget safari and Wakanda were absolutely fantastic throughout the trip. Pre-holiday communication with Bartho via Whatsapp was easy and he always replied very promptly. On arrival, he arranged our airport pick up at 2am and came to see us the next morning to brief us on our trip.
The tour itself was just brilliant and our guide, Hamza, was abslutely fantastic the whole week. He has 13 years experience as a guide and you could really tell. He was so knowledgeable abot the place and the animals, really attentive to all our needs as a group, easy to chat to and great fun to travel with. On top of all this, his attention to detail was incredible, even going so far as to always make sure we had the best angle and teh best light for photos when we stopped to see animals from the jeep!
Along with Hamza, we were joined on our trip by Machete, our chef, who was also absolutely fantastic and another really lovely guy. My 12 year old son is a very fussy eater and Machete noticed this right away from the 1st day and really looked after him, making sure he had something he liked cooked seperately every day, which he really didn't have to do! It was like my son had his own private chef for the week and it meant his biggest worry about the trip didn't become a big deal at all!
The tour locations were all stunning and we also got upgraded a couple of nights to accomodation that was better than was originally planned in the itinerary.
All in all, my son and I both agreed that this was the best trip we've ever taken and a big part of making it so perfect was the team at Wakanda. Bartho, Hamza and Machete, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for giving us so many wonderful memories of our time in Tanzania.

Wakanda delivered the awe of experiencing Tanzania's wildlife, beautiful parks and local cuisine. This summer we took our grandson on a Wakanda safari in Tanzania to celebrate his graduation from high school. We wanted him to experience the love and wonder for Africa and its people that we had developed during our experiences in Africa. We wanted him to feel the awe at the uniqueness, diversity and magnificence of the wildlife as well as the cultural richness, ingenuity and unpretentiousness of daily life in Africa. Wow, did Wakanda deliver! We selected the budget individual guided 7-day safari tour and we were never disappointed. We were able to communicate effectively with Wakanda from the United States and set up the trip and two days of activity well in advance of our arrival.
We saw the stars of African wild life every day as well as the often overlooked birds and even a serval. There were no staged native dances, no garish banquets of food the locals could never afford or visitations to African experiences that catered solely to US and European visitors. I felt that we experienced Africa rather than visited Africa.
The price point of the tour was fantastic but delivered on all promises. Our guide, Felix, was experienced, reliably on time, knowledgeable, and in tune with a spirit of respect for the environment. He often explained the relevance of our experiences in the development of Tanzania. He made sure our teenager was involved in helping to set up camp and made certain parts of the safari “just for him.” Our cook, or as Sule preferred to be called, our “stomach engineer,” cooked delicious and varied meals that reflected the local cuisine. We are vegetarian but our grandson eats meat; Sule was always able to have both meat and vegetarian dishes. He even made bread for most dinners and breakfasts. We wanted our grandson to get as close to “nature” as possible, so three of the seven days were tent camping with night sounds, shooting stars and wandering cape buffalo and impala nearby. The equipment was all up-to-date and in very good condition. We felt safe the entire time. This expedition lived up to all our expectations. Our grandson said it was a great trip–great food, great experiences, great animal viewing. We absolutely agree! One caveat: if you require all the comforts of home, this trip might not be for you. If, however, you want a genuine and rich experience, go with Wakanda! "You never know what's around the corner!

Wij boekten de 7 dagen (budget) Safari Tour en hadden een fantastische tijd! Alle communicatie verliep perfect maar het waren voornamelijk onze driver Hamza en kok Machete die de trip onvergetelijk maakten. Alle parken waren prachtig en Hamza zorgde iedere keer opnieuw voor de beste ‘spot’plaatsen en de nodige uitleg, hij was fantastisch! Het eten was iedere dag heerlijk (van lunch tot diner) en ze zorgden er beide voor dat we niets te kort kwamen. We kunnen deze tour (en dit team) alleen maar aanraden!

We went on a 7-day private safari with Wakanda in July '22 - 2 adults and 2 teens. We had a fabulous time. Bartho was very responsive to my many questions, and also made sure he met us early in the Safari and before we left, which was a nice touch. Andrew was our safari guide the whole time and he is outstanding! He is extremely funny and easy to talk with and extremely knowledgeable. Every time we found any animal, reptile or bird he would grab a guide book and share so we could learn more. He told about life and culture in Tanzania and included his personal life stories. We were sad to say goodbye to him!Dulleh made fabulous meals for us three times a day... think a fresh loaf of bread with every dinner that we would gobble down with amazing first course soups and then have to continue to stuff ourselves with all the additional courses and choices that continued to come out! One teen is a picky vegetarian and she was very happy with our meals. The 7-day safari was fun- we spent 6 of the days going through the various parks and focused on animals, birds, etc., but the last day included a hike up to a beautiful waterfall through an amazing coffee (and other) farming community, then learning about the coffee bean harvest to coffee making process and then on to a fun little water-hole made from warm springs. It was nice to include the additional time spent exploring much of what Tanzania has to offer. You will spend some nights in a tent (they provide the sleeping bag, and pad!), and some in a sweet little backpacking lodge (Fig Tree), where they hosts are very friendly. I highly recommend the experience through Wakanda Serengeti!

Fantastic safari experience with Serengeti Wakanda Tours. I found this operator online via google and trip advisor. I could not have picked a better company to have worked with for our honeymoon safari. Bartho was extremely helpful and friendly. I had a lot of questions and inquiries about accommodations and routes and he was able to assist in finding out all the details and prices I needed to plan my ultimate African holiday. Bartho met us upon arrival along with our guide Andrew which gave it a very nice personal touch. We felt welcomed and started our private guide safari experience for 7 days and 6 nights. We saw an abundance of wildlife and learned so so much from our guide Andrew. He was exceptional and shared stories with incredible knowledge of the animals which we will remember for a lifetime! I would not hesitate to recommend this tour operator to friends and family if they choose to go to Tanzania. It was truly a magical experience. Do note that there is a lot of driving so my husband felt nauseous at times but we chose a more aggressive route - you can mitigate this by either shortening your days or choosing to stay at places for longer than 1 night! Thank you so much Bartho and Andrew and hope to see you guys again in the future!! :)

We were more than lucky with Wakanda team. Everything was just perfect. All the family was more than excited. Food was awesome. Guides were very experienced, friendly and helpful.
We saw more than lot more than Big5. This was a journey to remember forever.
Before we met Wakanda team actually we didn't believe all the coments and review, but they fullfiled all our wishes and needs.
Our family with three children (18, 16, 11) is very thankful for such an experience!
Recomendation - You can trust them, and follow their advices!
