We had a wonderful time during the whole trip. Even when we had hiccups, we were offered all the possible help by Gaukhar, who runs Dostar Trips, towards it. Abu, our guide, took care of all the day to day necessities and was very fun and informative. Baur, our driver was very experienced and provided us a smooth ride for the entire trip. Would definitely endorse Dostar for anyone planning a trip to Kazakhstan.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience on the 5 day Dostar tour. We went with Ivan as the driver/organizer and Abu as a translator. Both were wonderful and kind people, very attentive to our needs and fun to spend time with. The tour was well organized, lodging was simple and very comfortable, food was good. Ivan's driving was impressive. Abu's English was excellent. We all had great discussions on many topics. The scenery on this trip was amazing every day. We did not regret our choice of visiting Altyn Emel, simply stunning. The Aktau mountains are gorgeous, the lakes are beautiful. We hiked a fair amount which made the trip even more enjoyable. All was accomplished in excellent spirit. We also had a chance to meet Gaukhar, the owner of the company. The day before the departure, Gaukhar gave us a detailed description of our 5 day itinerary and gave us a tour of the city. We were very impressed with her knowledge and kindness. All in all a beautiful and unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this 5 day tour to any travelers interested in exploring the East part of Kazakstan.

Freindly Tours play in their own league. Right from the beginning the contact was very pleasant and the booking absolutely flawless. Marina from the office was always very helpful and could even help us out by providing the address of a laundry service in Almaty prior to our trip.
The trip itself was simply perfect; You couldn`t imagine a better guide than Dima. Very friendly, savy and highly competent. I really appreciated all his stories about and perspective on life in Kazachstan - we had very interesting conversations.
He was totally customer focused and did everything he could to take care of us: from checking we always had enough water to resupplying late in the evening to picking herbs for tea on our excursions. He also made sure we get across the border to Kirgistan and didn`t leave before he was sure we made it to the other side.
It was simply an incredible trip at a reasonable price, compared to the service provided. I`d get back to Kazakhstan anytime - definately again with Friendly Tours. Thanks for the great experience!

Excellent service and helpful advice and easy communication with Friendly Tours (Marina).
Driver Ruslan and Guide, Sabina, were both knowledgable, professional, competent and fun during our 5 Tour. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it, and when I asked for the itinerary to be changed slightly, my wish was easily accommodated. As a result, I saw the Pagoda Mosque, which was a highlight for me!
On thing to note, is that I had very little Wifi and no phone reception in Almaty, and became a little anxious when I hadn't heard from Friendly Tours. I sent emails to which I got no reply (I was subsequently told that they were never received. Wifi can be quite a problem). Might I suggest to them that they perhaps look at emailing their clients when they know they have arrived in Almaty.... simply to reassure them that all is on track and to confirm arrangements. This would have alleviated any anxiety I felt at making a booking, from overseas, with a travel company I had never used, and to whom I had paid quite a sum of money.
All of this aside, they were excellent and the trip was wonderful. The 'home stays' were also enjoyable, and I particularly loved Saty Village. I have no hesitation in recommending Friendly Tours.

¡El viaje ha sido increÃble! Hemos disfrutado de unos paisajes preciosos. Sabina (nuestra guÃa) y Zhenia (nuestro conductor) han hecho un trabajo fantástico. Han estado muy atentos y nos han explicado muchas cosas.

Vom ersten Moment an waren wir begeistert. Unser Guide Vladimir hat sich extrem ins Zeug gelegt. Er hat uns mit viel Herzblut alle möglichen Sehenswürdigkeiten gezeigt und hat die Tour durch eigene Vorschläge ergänzt. Wir hatten die Möglichkeit auf alle möglichen Berge zu klettern und wir sind in Gebiete gewandert, in welche sonst kaum ein Tourist hin geht.
Unterwegs bekamen wir viele Infomationen über Land und Leute. Die Unterkünfte waren stets sauber und das Essen immer lecker.

We don't offen write reviews but this one is up there. The tour is a great way to see some of this very large country in a short space of time. The scenery is awe-inspiring and the people are warm and genuine. see for yourself.
Vladimir our tour guide par excellence, whose attention to detail, politeness, friendliness and insight made the trip a real pleasure oh and he's is not a bad driver either. It's best to do this trip in the week to avoid the crowds 5 people instead of 30.
Bring factor +50, a hat, good boots and an empty stomach they fed us until we nearly ex........!
