Our trip started with our guide, Endre picking us up at our hotel. We then drove down to the Danube. The Entire Way, Endre did everything he could to make sure we were comfortable and did not need anything. The trip had several different elements. The first was a hike to the top of a gorge. I would recommend that you take the right shoes for this trip. It does require you to also be moderately physically fit. Endre was great and very patient with us as we reached the top. He knew all the best places for photos. We then had a great lunch and explored a wild cave. Endre secured us a cave expert to guide us in. Then, we had a boat trip that included some hidden caves and wonderful views from the Danube. The tour in itself was great, but Endre added such a personal touch to it and went above and beyond, but you felt like you were hanging out with a friend. Airport can lost our luggage so when we told him he even took us to the airport and waited for us to get it at the end of our trip. Once again, he went above and beyond. We feel like we have made a friend in addition to the tour. We Will come back and do another tour and make sure we secure him as our Guide.

I visited Romania for the first time this summer and it blowed my mind, everything is so beautiful but the things that makes it better is this kind of tours, that let you explore and discover beautiful parts of this country, we took this amazing tour which was guided by Endre (the best guide ever) he was so friendly and informative, We visited the Statue of Decebal and took he us on a hike to see the Danube from the top of a Mountain with the best view ever, we explored the amazing caves bellow the mountain and went had the best boat ride in the Danube, I totally recommend this experience, is unique and it will blow your mind

Where should we start this feedback? I am still caught in all the emotions and unforgettable memories this tour in Danube Gorges left on us. This time, Endre replaced Flavia, whom was unavailable but very attentive to the smooth running of the trip.
That's an understatement to say we were lucky to have him as a guide. You can tell he loves the rich, one of a kind Romanian nature and history. He was not only knowledgeable, but talked and laughed with us during hours, while driving us to these amazing spots. We truly felt like he was the 4th member of our group.
We were also accompanied by Răzvan in the Peștera Ponicova cave (dry because of the temperatures), that he sure knows like his pocket. He was equally passionate and kind, and we had the chance to spend a really relaxing moment in his and his mother's guest house in Dubova after. Make sure to check Casa de Oaspeti Dunarea la Cazane if you want to spend some night in this wonderful area, just next to the Danube! It was just like home, but slightly better and with a delicious homemade afine syrup.
It's difficult to put into words how it makes you feel to hike on the edges of Ciucarul Mare, to do a cruise and to bath in the Danube, to visit a limestone cave with breathtaking concretions with just the sound of our steps, and to meet such amazing persons. This is something you have to live by yourself. To me, getting to discover the natural side of Romania was definitely the peak of the whole trip.
Thank you for all of this! And maybe we will have the chance to meet next time to learn more about Maramures by your side.

We were fortunate to spend a day with Flavia for the Danube Gorge and the hiking tour around the river. It was an extraordinary experiences! The tour was well-planned, the scenery unsurpassed, and transportation very comfortable. Flavia was knowledgeable guide who made the day memorable. We loved receiving the photos she took of our trip and the care she took to make sure we had a memorable and enjoyable experience.
