We entrusted ourselves to Milleviagens for our Easter holiday in Rio de Janeiro after reading various reviews and posts on the Tripadvisor forum.
Gianluca's kindness and professionalism was undoubtedly the key to making us choose to use a local Tour Operator.
In one week we visited the city and the most famous tourist spots, the Rocinha favela, Ilha Grande and Buzios with day trips.
Before confirming the booking we also checked the split prices of both the hotel and the individual tours with the classic booking sites and the price paid was advantageous.
No problems with payment, punctuality of all drivers and friendliness of the guides.

We booked a week's stay in Rio de Janeiro for the Easter holidays from Italy through Milleviagens with the very professional advice of Gianluca who gave us the best advice.
This tour allows you to visit the main tourist attractions such as Christ the Redeemer, the Maracana stadium, the Sugar Loaf, the Sambadrome and the city center in one day. The restaurant where you have lunch is reasonably good considering it is an open buffet.
We found it very interesting and advantageous especially due to the fact that queues at the ticket offices are avoided and travel is optimised.

Excursion booked well in advance from Milan where I live, excellent assistance from Gianluca on WhatsApp, the guide was Manuela (Brazilian by origin) but she speaks Italian very well because she lived in Italy, during the excursion she spoke 3 languages including Italian She was clear and fluid in explaining the various main points. At the end of the excursion, a buffet lunch on Copacabana was satisfying. ✅👍 Thank you so much for everything!!!!

The company for which I have a commercial representation contract announced a contest of which I was the winner and I was rewarded with a 7-day trip to Rio de Janeiro and its surroundings immediately after New Year's Eve (unfortunately :-( );.
The organization of the stay was entrusted to Milleviagens with the impeccable collaboration of Gianluca.
We took this tour of the city of Rio de Janeiro accompanied by the friendly Eduardo who allowed us to skip the queues at Corcovado and Sugar Loaf and optimize the time for visiting the main tourist points of the city.
At all times we felt safe and safe from any risks for which Rio is sadly known.
In the early afternoon we stopped for lunch in a restaurant in Copacabana which was included in the excursion. Given the buffet choice I can say that the food was satisfactory although obviously you have to stay away from pasta!!

It was our first trip to Brazil, first stop Rio de Janeiro and then continue to the north-east. We contacted Milleviagens - Gianluca who organized a personalized city tour for us. They were two very intense days, we visited the city in maximum safety, with highly trained, helpful and competent guides. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you!

We booked this private tour with an Italian guide as part of a MILLEVIAGENS tourist package.
Our guide Monica picked us up punctually at the hotel at the combined time and accompanied us to discover the main tourist places of the city, obviously starting from the suggestive Sugar Loaf and the iconic Christ the Redeemer located on Corcovado.
The tour winds through the famous beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema reaching the center of the city with the characteristic Selaron staircase (with its colored tiles coming from tourists from all over the world), the football time the Maracana stadium and the Sambadrome which are already was preparing to receive the parades of the now upcoming Carnival.
The excursion includes a good lunch in a buffet restaurant in Copacabana which after so much walking provided us with plenty of refreshment.

In 2023, those who still choose a travel agency do so to have greater security and benefit from their experience. Paying an agency becomes acceptable, but with Milleviagens/Gianluca we received neither assistance nor experience. For example, canceled flight: Gianluca's response "deal with the airline yourself". Requested transfer, response "take a taxi".
So what is the purpose of a travel agency?
Same situation with excursions: in practice they only act as intermediaries, increasing costs. It is much more convenient then to contact local guides on Instagram/WhatsApp or ask at the reception of the hotels booked on Booking/Expedia.
Gianluca is an excellent communicator, but the lack of assistance and a whole series of incorrect advice mean that the price paid to Milleviagens is absolutely useless. We cannot recommend them. It is better to rely on Tripadvisor, Booking and Instagram - since you will still have to manage the problems yourself, at least save money.

Beautiful experience. At the appointed time with Swiss punctuality, a car picked us up from our hotel and together with a guide we took a tour of the city of Rio, visiting not only the main attractions such as the Christ, the Sugar Loaf, the Sambadrome, the Maracana , the Selaron staircase, the cathedral, but we also discovered the most hidden corners of Rio, without forgetting the beautiful experience in the typical restaurant where we had our meal. All seasoned with the historical and cultural explanations of our guide. Fantastic experience recommended to everyone

We booked the private tour and we highly recommend it. You can travel at your own pace and don't have to wait around for the group. Monica was an excellent guide and it was very easy to chat one-on-one with her.
She made excellent coordination with the driver who was always at the designated meeting point and ready to take us to the next spot on the itinerary.
We were able to select the specific combination of places to visit.
