I recently went on the Grisley Walk, a nighttime walking tour of Mumbai, and it was a fantastic experience! Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing stories and historical facts that brought the city's landmarks to life under the moonlight. The route was well-planned, covering both famous and lesser-known spots, making it a perfect blend of adventure and education. I especially loved how the evening lights added a mysterious charm to the streets. Highly recommended for anyone looking to see Mumbai from a different perspective!

Fantastic walking tour which lasted 2.5 hours. Every bylane had a story to tell and Mr. Vasant Sanzgiri is the perfect storyteller. Enjoyed every moment of the tour. My kids, too, were in awe. Well curated tour which is managed in just the right time. My kids got a glimpse of the famous bazaars and the history behind it. Simply enjoyed our time. Hats off to Mr Sanzgiri for showing us some hidden gems making a trip this interesting with his special & fun anecdotes. Highly recommend.

Khaki tours was great! We heard about Khaki from our friends living in Mumbai and we reached out via WhatsApp to coordinate a personalized experience. My wife and I did the Essential Mumbai, Bombay Bazars, and 26/11 Attacks tours during our stay in Mumbai for a wedding. Kaevan, Arnavaz, and Parvez were all very knowledgeable and tailored our private tours to our needs. When my wife was interested in purchasing pashminas and jewelry, Parvez took us to the right place and helped translate conversations with vendors. Kaevan was able to provide a lot of insight into how my culture and religion has been practiced in India over the years. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Mumbai with some time to spare reaches out to Khaki Tours to customize a tour experience for themselves.

Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to get a real feel for the city and is maybe less interested in the traditional history/museum type activities. The bazaar contains the life and vibrance of the city, which this tour captures perfectly - our guide highlighted streets which correspond to a given product, the beautiful fabrics and tailoring in India, street vendors and their local flavors, various places of worship that attest to the coexistence of numerous faiths in Mumbai, and little historical facts that explain why the city is what it is today. We even stopped for a streetside chai - 10/10!
Unlike most guided tours, I’d recommend this both for foreigners and locals - while I am a foreigner, it seemed that the tour highlighted facts and history that even the average local did not know. The tour really brings meaning to the chaotic vibrance of this beautiful market.

This was my 6th walk with Khaki, and as before Khaki team continues to maintain its tradition of excellence. The walk- 'Bhuleshwar Bhulbhuliya' is I believe is one of the more unique walks done by Khaki, covering a temple district enclosed by the Bazaars.
Our host Mr. Siddhartha with whom I had done the Banganga walk earlier is a reservoir of knowledge, and once can see and feel his passion towards sharing the rich heritage in a concise and relatable manner. Hence the engagement level of the group with him remained high even though it was a relatively longer walk of 2.5 hours. He also arranged a timely break in between to have tea/coffee for the attendees.
Ultimately, the knowledge regarding the area was highly enriched even for people who might have gone through the area many times, but not regarded it with a different lens.
Highly recommended for all Mumbai enthusiasts!

WOW, this tour was such an amazing and immersive experience. Our guide Ninad deftly navigated us through the chaos of the bazaars, pointing out historical notes, market traditions, and hidden treasures along the way. We did 3 Khaki tours when we were in Mumbai and they were all such a treat!

Ram is incredible. He has the rare combination of deep intelligence and humor. His tour of the market and bazaar is both informative, mixing local history and retail therapy, and fun. I’ve traveled all over India and he is one of the very best guides.

I thoroughly enjoyed the detailed historical background shared by the guide (Bharat Ghosalkar) and was intrigued by the rich heritage we have in our city.
The Shiv avataar monument is simply mystical and I hope that the government does take cognisance of its rarity and value and preserves it for our future generations to enjoy viewing it as an ancient monument.

Driven by our curiosity regarding the origins of these markets, we made the decision to embark on a guided tour. Our exploration began with Ninad leading us through Crawford Market, where he skillfully intertwined the history of this locale with its architectural marvels. Additionally, he shed light on the intriguing concept of modern-era shopping carts being manually propelled by individuals.
Opting to delve into Mumbai's bustling markets, we were consistently captivated by these vibrant hubs where a plethora of goods are conveniently available within a compact 2-3 kilometer radius. From household essentials and flowers to fresh produce, pets, jewelry, exotic fruits, and clothing, these markets encompassed a diverse array of offerings.
Opting to delve into Mumbai's bustling markets, we were consistently captivated by these vibrant hubs where a plethora of goods are conveniently available within a compact 2-3 kilometer radius. From household essentials and flowers to fresh produce, pets, jewelry, exotic fruits, and clothing, these markets encompassed a diverse array of offerings. Numerous enigmas surrounding ancient trade practices and their interconnectedness with markets were successfully unraveled during our exploration.
It's quite unbelievable that an animal shelter could thrive amidst such a bustling market environment. To our pleasant surprise, our children immensely enjoyed feeding the cows there and felt a sense of blessing in the experience.
Towards the conclusion, Ninad pleasantly surprised us with a delightful serving of freshly made Bombay halwa from a renowned local establishment.
Throughout our journey, a multitude of mysteries surrounding ancient trade practices and their intricate connection to markets were expertly unveiled and resolved.
