My tour of Kolkata was an incredible experience. I was thoroughly impressed by how Kaushik Sir explained every detail with such clarity and passion. Despite being a native of West Bengal, I realized how little I knew about my own region. His storytelling made everyone feel welcome and guided us through the history and culture of Kolkata. Kaushik Sir's warmth and expertise transformed the tour into an unforgettable journey, leaving us all with a deeper appreciation of this vibrant city.

Kolkata Story Tours is fantastic! Kaushik feels more like a friend than a guide. He passionately shares Kolkata’s vibrant history and culture, making each story come alive. The tour covers both famous landmarks and hidden gems, making it perfect for everyone. It's well-organized, engaging, and truly memorable. Highly recommend for an authentic Kolkata experience!

We went for a Walking Tour with Kaushik Sir. It was my first Walking tour and I never imagined it could be so much fun and learning. We saw the sights and these were linked with stories and anecdotes about how the City came to being, how the British built it up and how Kolkata became a power center of the British Empire. It was an evenly paced tour and in the very beginning we reconciled that we would not do any tick marking stuff but enjoy whatever we could in the span of 3 hours approximately. What a wise decision that turned out to be. Kaushik Sir was a patient, passionate and extremely engaging story teller. I really enjoyed the walk, made some friends with fellow tourists, had cups of chai and now look forward to doing his many other tours. Thank you so much Sir!

Having lived in Kolkata for so many years, it was always on my bucket list to learn about our colonial past and the Raj Heritage( having seen the splendid buildings near BBD Bag area). Ultimately researched and decided to do the Raj Heritage Walking Tour of Kolkata as the reviews looked exciting and was highly recommended. The tour was everything it promised. It was captivating and time flew in a jiffy while we learnt about the familiar buildings come alive in a different light with fascinating stories associated with them. Yet Mr. Chatterjee said that we have not seen most of the sites yet. I would surely go for many more tours with Mr. Chatterjee. Sincerely recommend these tours.

Going for a heritage walk from Esplanade to Dalhousie Square, ending at the iconic GPO Kolkata with Mr. Kaushik Chatterjee, was a captivating journey through Kolkata's Raj Era historical heart. Kaushik’s intense knowledge and infectious enthusiasm brought the city’s rich past come alive, making every step feel like a walk through history. His storytelling, peppered with fascinating anecdotes, painted a vivid picture of Kolkata's colonial legacy and cultural depth. The tour was well-paced, insightful, and included delightful chai stops, enhancing our experience. For anyone looking to deeply connect with Kolkata's heritage, tours with Mr. Koushik Chatterjee are highly recommended for his many offerings. A truly enriching and must have experience!

Kaushik is a very knowledgeable and passionate guide. He has a strong understanding of Kolkata and explained the various places and their origins— starting with Tea in a clay cup at Princep Ghat to Dalhousie Square to many more places to outline here. His command of English is excellent. Highly recommended

Kaushik Sir was a very humble, knowledgeable and patient person and guided us with wonderful anecdotes, stories and sights. He goes beyond the normal definition of guides and I would think of him as a treasure house of little gems about the city of Kolkata. The Tour involved Walking, cups of fresh hot Chai, standing in front of incredible locations which otherwise you will surely miss and have stories come alive. There was no hurry to wind up and on our particular tour we did a lot. However, a still lot of things left to see. Reserving for our next tour because I love not doing things fleetingly. Very highly recommended

A private walk through the heritage area of Kolkata, learning about the history. Of course, the links between the UK and India are well documented but to hear the history from the perspective of Kolkata was worth doing. While there has been many places where names have changed, enough remains to get a feel of the history. We walked, soaked up the history, and shared a good morning where i learned a lot. I felt safe, supported, informed and educated. Thank you.

Very expensive for what we experienced. Most of the buildings do not allow entry and one could have simply driven in a car and seen the places. Victoria Memorial was disappointing, not because of the tour, but there is nothing from the British Empire left. It has been converted to a memorial to Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. The rest was just walking

Dear Sir/Madam
Are you sure you have not confused my services with any other that you may have taken from some other source? The reasons for my response are the following :
1. My Walking Tours do not cover any inside tour of the Victoria Memorial as there are free guided tours within and so we encourage guests to take that option
2. Being a Walking Tour for a limited duration, the tour does not include Victoria Memorial as the same takes a time equivalent to my entire tour and hence does not make it viable for guests and us, both
3. I do not have any booking from any person of your review alias in my records. Could you please confirm your full name, date of tour and booking ID please? If you can, I shall stand corrected.
4. My listing does not speak about entry into buildings. The tour is a Walking Tour with an atmosphere created by Story Telling where buildings and streets serve as backdrops and props to give the guest a sense and perspective of the times gone by and locations of different happenings
5. To reinforce and endorse the above points I would request you and other readers to please read my listing in detail and more than that, the reviews of previous guests and I would stand vindicated.
6. Since Covid and my close multiple trysts with it, I have drastically reduced my availability for tours due to health issues and hence have a clear count of the tours conducted. This is not my profession but a combination of passion and means to fund some causes while catalysing an introduction of my city with travellers.

We took an exceptional walking/driving tour with Kaushik C. His normal tour is nearly 4 hours. Recognizing that some of our team members may not be able to walk for that long, he modified it for us.
He is exceptionally knowledgeable not just about the city but the broader context of the city’s role in Indian and British history.
He is a great story teller which made the tour a lot of fun.
Highly recommended.
