It was nice that the non-animal (meat) dishes were all suitable for vegans since there were 4 of us vegans 🌱. Good service at the bar. Friendly staff.

I had 2 complaints and reason I didn’t give this tour company a 5-star. I didn’t think it was appropriate for the captain to be trawling a fishing line behind the boat. As a good vegan, I don’t want to see a fish or any living being on the end of a hook. I think we should be warned that someone would be trawling. I ask him to stop and he just replied that he was trying to catch a fish.

My second issue was one of the boat crew smoking at the back of the boat when we were stopped for a swim. I don’t expect anyone to be smoking anywhere near the boat- I could smell it from the water.

Good times on a well-run boat

We had a very nice time on this sunset cruise. We had great weather for a sail, and it wasn't too hot or sunny. I was a little disappointed in the snorkeling, as there was little to see, but that isn't really the fault of the boat operator. The crew was very good. We especially enjoyed watching the captain's young son helping out and fishing off the boat. The food served was surprisingly good, I even went back for seconds of the chicken. Delicious! The drinks were good, as well. But be prepared...this is what you might call a "booze cruise", which means many of their clientele are young 20-somethings out for a good time. We are on the more mature end of the age spectrum, so getting drunk and partying doesn't interest us, but just go in knowing there will be a bit of a party atmosphere. There was a mix of ages on the boat, so it's not ALL party goers. Overall, it was an enjoyable day on the water.

Excellent excursion!
We came to Costa Rica for the first time and meticulously read through the reviews before booking any excursions. We booked this cruise because of the great reviews and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The crew was fantastic, funny, friendly with great service. The boat is really beautiful and clean. Lunch and drinks were fantastic! We would book this excursion again in a second and will recommend it to any of our friends visiting Tamarindo.

Great crew, excellent food, generous with the beverages, wish they had put up the sails since conditions were perfect
Booked through our hotel and a great choice. Boat wasn’t too crowded and plenty of room to store your stuff. Plenty of room to sit and the trampolines were popular. Great crew. Generous with the beverages, great lunch, good tunes. We had a nice steady breeze which would have been perfect for sailing but they didn’t (Ironic because they describe themselves as “the only catamaran that actually sails”).

The snorkeling didn’t have much to see but the boat had lots of noodles and a kayak and an SUP to use. The water is super warm which was great, and really enjoyed floating around in a calm deserted bay.

To get on the boat you get on a smaller boat on the beach. That’s problematic. (And it’s the same for every catamaran - no catamaran had beach landing like in Hawaii and there is no dock in Tamarindo). The transfer skiff is rocking in the waves, you are in calf or knee deep water to get on or off the boat on the little step, the staff is helping you. Exiting at the beach I fell backwards into the boat when a wave hit and got hurt. What would really help, and none of the catamarans do it, would be a pole you can grasp or at least a handle, attached to the back end outer edge of the transfer boat. It was easier getting on and off the catamaran from the transfer boat.

Lovely day on the water
Lovely afternoon on this sunset sail. It was a bit crowded and lots of 20 somethings fully taking advantage of the open bar, but with the nets available for seating we had enough room. Not a lot of communication from the crew - usually in the beginning they make announcements and intros but that didn’t happen till we were well on our way. Be aware that in order to get to the catamaran you take a small boat from the beach and will likely get a bit wet. They took our shoes from the smaller boat (you can’t wear shoes on the catamaran). Open bar was fine - drinks are sweet and watered down but the bartender made fun non alcoholic drinks for our teenagers. We went to a small beach where we were able to do some snorkeling. At first not much to see but if you go close to the rocks and follow them around you can see some cool fish. We saw a huge puffer fish and lots of small colorful ones too. Water was pretty wavy and got a little cloudy. They had a kayak people could take turns using and a stand up paddleboard and lots of pool noodles to use to float around. My Teenagers enjoyed hanging out in the net and floating around in the water. Water was beautiful but my daughter got stung by some kind of jellyfish. One of the crew members used some vinegar to help soothe the sting. They served lunch on the ride back. Food was decent - Chicken, rice and beans, salad and veggies. And the crew walked around with a watermelon and pineapple after. The sunset was gorgeous and the captain turned the boat to make sure we could all enjoy. Getting back in we took another transfer boat. We didn’t get a lot of instruction and when we all got up to get off a wave came and knocked a bunch of us down inside the boat. So be careful exiting! All in all a beautiful day and a nice way to end our vacation.

Good Afternoon Thank you for leaving a review with us. We are glad to hear that overall the tour was a good experience. The crewmates usually are very communicative on the tour (they have three different speaches troughout the tour) perhaps they were really busy as it was a full boat day. We are sorry for the waves in the small transport boat, usually the waves are not as big as to get people wet onboard. We will work on these small things so we get better as a company. Don't miss out on a private tour
Gorgeous sunset, wonderful beach. Justin, Brandon and Jordan were masters at sailing and finding us a picture perfect beach. An amazing lunch of Caribbean chicken, rice and vegetables was had by all along with endless drinks. We were lucky enough to have a private tour and I was just coming out of being very sick so they took excellent care of me. Many of us danced on the boat and enjoyed the beautiful ocean. Would definitely do this again well worth the money with a fantastic crew.

Unbeatable Experience
10/10. The crew was great, the boat was clean & comfortable, the drinks were plentiful, and the food was INCREDIBLE. If I’m ever back in Tamarindo, I’ll be back.

Great Day on the Water/Sunday Cruise
We had a fantastic Sunset cruise! It started with staff... Justin, Bismarck, and the other gentlemen whose name I didn't get. They were ready from the start!! Great personalities and service. It was a beautiful day and all enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks, food and music. One couple commented that their good was better than their hotels restaurant!! :). The atmosphere was lovely the whole time!! The ride back was capped off with a beautiful sunset. We actually talked about going again on Tuesday before we leave. It was that good!!
