This trip was amazing from pick up to drop off.
Lomar, our tour guide picked us up and brought us to the property where we were fed an authentic Costa Rican lunch. We then drove to a spot where we got out and started the hike. It was a vigorous hike up a trail where we stopped frequently when Lomar spotted something interesting and gave us a short explaination. We continued until we reached the 1st waterfall. Then the fun really began, we waded in the pools, sat under the waterfall and had an opportunity to jump into the water from various heights. Lomar took fantastic pictures of us in the water with our phone Then we finished loop and came back to our transport all the while learning more fun facts.
Lomar stopped at the original location for us to use the rest room and get into the shuttle back to our hotel.
Tip, wear a bathing suit with a cover up or water shorts and water shoes are a must!!

The whole trip was great from start to finish! The meal we had was amazing, the off roading to the location had amazing views, and the waterfalls were absolutely stunning! Christian is an absolute legend who speaks perfect English. My girlfriend and I both individually thought it was one of the best tours we’ve ever done!

My family loved everything about this tour, from the fun ride in the crazy 4x4 to the flora and fauna that our wonderful guide Wilson showed us while we were walking in the forest. The water was cool and refreshing and the falls so beautiful. We thought we were seeing a few waterfalls, but the experience was so much more. Oh, and breakfast beforehand was fantastic. Would do this again for certain!

Fun day hiking and swimming at the waterfalls. Wilson and Christian were great! The lunch before our trek was delicious!

Lomar and our other guide (I have forgotten his name!) were awesome stewards of the forest adventure and the waterfalls. It was a good amount of exercise and safe but fun “daring” feats of climbing, hiking and jumping into waterfall pools. Nothing touristy about this, and the breakfast beforehand was so delicious and rustic as well. Highly recommend!!

We had a family of 12 do the Waterfall Explorer tour. It was so great. We have been all over the world and my daughter said it was her favorite excursion ever. Lunch was simple and delicious. The ride to the preserve was almost as fun as the tour. Beautiful scenery and both guides would point out local plants and animals. Then, of course, the waterfalls. There are only a couple of places to swim, but both included jumps (one 30 feet high!!). Then, it absolutely poured rain. Being in a rainforest in a rainstorm is a beautiful experience. I highly recommend this tour.

Lunch was really great, the guides were fantastic! If you want to go in the jungle and see some beautiful waterfalls I highly recommend CR Waterfall Tours.

What can I say? This was our favorite activity in Costa Rica! Joaquin and Christian are exceptional tour guides. After a delicious local breakfast there was a fun 4x4 ride up to our hiking spot, where we stopped a couple of times along the way to point out blue morph butterflies, termite nests, and falcons, we started on a beautiful slow hike to see a series of waterfalls and freshwater pools. Everyone floated, jumped and played while Christian took totally amazing action pics of everyone in our group. I swear they are practically cinematographers! Jaco can be kind of touristy but in this tour, we felt totally immersed in Costa Rica! We really really loved this activity and cannot recommend this enough!

We were warmly met by our guide, Christien. After a short trek to basecamp, we prepared for the journey to the hiking trail. It was a rugged journey but was made very entertaining by our lovely guides. They shared knowledge of the sites that we passed along the way. The hiking journey was great. Not too challenging, but make sure to wear proper shoes. The waterfalls were amazing to see and swim in. We got some great photos there. After a short hike back to our meeting place we returned back to base camp and then back to our original meeting place. The guides were very personable, this makes the experience so much better. I highly recommend this excursion!

Great hike! Our guide Christian was knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and has great pride in the local wilderness. The included lunch at the basecamp was the best authentic Costa Rican food we had our entire stay. Make sure you have good quality water shoes or strapped sandals! A rain hat would be good too, as the rain is unpredictable and comes and goes quickly.

We are doing this tour but got little instructions through trip advisor on where to meet tomorrow.
Can anyone give us some info? Is it at Jaco walk or do we need to drive to Neo Fauna?

I think so, Chrristian will help across any rocks or slippery places, but there are some overlooks where kids need to be watched closely. You know your kids best...
Hello, can we do this tour with our young children, 2 month and 22 months- we have very reliable proper hiking carriers for them and often hike with them. Thank you

Some parts of the trail were VERY slippery. If you are physically fit and comfortable with the carriers then go for it! There are low hangings vines/branches doing some of the hike so be aware!

How strenuous is the hike? I have asthma and want to be sure it won't be too much for me.

My family and I found it to be very relaxed. The pace was slow and informative with Eduardo stopping often to educate us on local wildlife and plants. The very end of the hike does involve many natural “stairs” to return to the road. This portion could be strenuous if done all at once, but we were encouraged to take our time if needed. My feeling is that you would do just fine on this adventure and certainly let them know when booking so they are aware of your condition and can schedule accordingly.
What time does the afternoon tour start? We land pretty late and want to do something our first day there
