Went snorkeling with whales using their services and what an experience, it was incredible! Our guide Louis and the boat driver were both lovely and very pro. My underwater camera died the night before but they made a video which they then gave us for free so was really cool. Would totally recommend them.

Collection from the small port was punctual and on arrival at the centre sign up was efficent. We then collected swim gear. Longer fins would have been better. I was so pleased I had a short wet suit, as the water was cold outside of the bay. Once on the boat we were given a safety and respect talk on how to behave if we were lucky enough to swim with whales. We saw them and got in the water. For my Husband only once and for a short time as he got cramp. For me twice as I realised early on I was not fit or strong enough to swim the required distances to reach the areas required and would spoil it for the few other capable of going all the way. All I will say is you need to be youngish and very fit for this trip should you encounter a Whale. The boats do not get up close to the animals for obvious reasons. In total there were 4 swims and not one was near enough to say anyone swam with Whales which was disappointing for everyone. There was another group who were next to the Whales every time they surfaces but none of our people got that near. At the end of the trip we were taken to interact with Ray's and Reef Sharks which was wondeful as the Ray's loved our guide so much so they were on his back and in his hand. We got to touch them too. We stayed there for around half an hour. We were offered drinks afterwards and were then taken back to the original dock which made it very easy to get the tender back to the ship. A day we will not forget.

My goodness, this was a phenomenal adventure. Our initial trip was cancelled due to a legitimate storm, but the More Activities Center team were amazing in helping us reschedule. The crew were experienced, kind, responsible, and a lot of fun. I was so grateful that they prioritized giving the whales space and ensuring that we didn't cause any stress. While we stayed back, the whales came right to us. We were so lucky to see multiple whales including a mama with two babies that floated up very close- a truly remarkable and surreal experience. Such an amazing experience in every way. Thank you to our guides and everyone at More Activities Center!

We went to swim with whales and they did not let us in the water, did not really explain anything, did not really try. So we traveled to the other side of the planet (from Europe) to get this experince, paid a lot of money and got nothing, just hours on the boat! No refund. So disappointed!!! We were waiting for this 4 months and saw nothing... Do not even expect any snacks which should be included, but the guide probably does not know ... :(

Thank you for your feedback on the activities. Sorry for your experience, I understand you were waiting for that but we can't control mother nature, we are not in a Zoo.
Our guide are very respectful against the whales and he feels it's not necessary to go in the water, it's because he knows their comportment and sometimes it's not even necessary to try.

We did a private tour for 4 (two couples) for whale watching and Shark/Stingray swim. It was simply outstanding- we saw multiple mother&calf whale combinations. However, the stingray and shark visit was simply the highlight of a three-week French Polynesia and Hawaii vacation. Our tour guide Jay was incredible. The knowledge and passion he shared for the sea wildlife was appreciated. Without hesitation, if we every visit Moorea again, we will try and hook up with Jay and Moorea Activities Center for another tour.

To be honest, it was weird.
The guides seemed nice and knowledgeable plus this place has great reviews, so we were super excited.
We saw at least 10-15 humpback whales that were exhibiting ideal behaviors to swim with. And if this was a whale watching tour, I’d be super happy. But we repeatedly missed ideal opportunities to go in to the water with the whales, to the point that it felt like we were intentionally avoiding them.
They kept saying things like, “we’re just turning the boat around” and then we would take off to an entirely different location. At one point we had two groups of at least 3 whales on either side of the boat; a mama, a baby and an escort… and again, we took off. The babies were surfacing every five minutes or so and the adults were laying low.
Again. We left.
Towards the very end of the tour, our guide Louie, decided that we should drop in for the first time and chase a couple of whales that were on the move after saying, “it’s your last chance.”
Needless to say, we didn’t catch up with them.
At first, I really wasn’t sure why they were so hesitant to go in. It seemed like a few of us on the boat were questioning the same thing. But in hindsight, I’m wondering if it was because we had two people on the boat that the guides knew, who couldn’t swim. They needed the raftdevice even during our test swim to the blue buoy. Perhaps it was a liability they wanted to avoid?
Regardless, it was a bummer.
Scheduled a tour with Moorea Expeditions for Thursday and Friday and swam with whales both times.

I am sorry for your bad experience. Our guides make launches based on the whales and their reaction but also based on the number of people already in the water. If ever there are already too many people on a whale, they will try to find another whale so as not to annoy the whale which already has a lot of people and so that the experience is better whether for the people or for whales. It happens that some service providers launch water even if they know that it will not be really good and this exhausts people for nothing. And people are glad they at least tried. For our part, we generally try to ensure that the launches are as good as possible and avoid the crowds, which are not good for the whales. Sorry for your feelings but very happy that you were able to see them up close in the following days. 🌞

Nous avons eu la chance de faire la sortie baleine avec Jay qui est vraiment un guide formidable, très respectueux des baleines et qui dégage de très bonnes vibrations.
Nous avons eu trois moments intenses en émotions et avons appris énormément de choses au sujet des reines de l'océan. En finissant par écouter des chanteurs sous l'eau, ce qui est absolument magique.
Le guide a aussi une GoPro, ce qui fait qu'il n'y a pas besoin de faire de photos et vous pouvez profiter pleinement de cette expérience totalement concentré.
Nous nous sommes sentis très en sécurité et avons passé des moments inoubliables.
Merci infiniment.

I had the best experience with them, the guides and captain were super professional and good vibes. The group too. We searched the whales and look at them, try different times for swimming next to them, two of them we saw them under the water, So all ended up with a very cool experience. best crew for meeting the whales 🐳

Die Tour war fantastisch. Das Team ist sehr freundlich und lustig und kompetent.
Sie achten auf eine freundliche Begegnung mit dem Tier und weisen sehr gut an wie man sich verhalten soll. Außerdem haben sie alles im Blick und man fühlt sich sehr sicher mit ihnen.
Die Begegnung mit den Walen war unglaublich. Wir hatten das Glück, dass ein Wal mehrere Male ganz nah an uns herangeschwommen kam.
Auch gute und professionelle Ausrüstung war dabei sowie Getränke.
Sie achten auf eine freundliche Begegnung mit dem Tier und weisen sehr gut an wie man sich verhalten soll. Außerdem haben sie alles im Blick und man fühlt sich sehr sicher mit ihnen.
Die Begegnung mit den Walen war unglaublich. Wir hatten das Glück, dass ein Wal mehrere Male ganz nah an uns herangeschwommen kam.
Auch gute und professionelle Ausrüstung war dabei sowie Getränke.
