- 1Hentes ved overnatting i Cape Town. Du vil motta en delt transport fra hotellet ditt i Cape Town til Silo-distriktet hvor du vil bli eskortert til Nelson Mandela Gateway. Her vil du chartre et delt til Robben Island museum hvor du vil bli møtt av en tidligere politisk fange som vil gjennomføre omvisningen på øya. We really wanted to do this trip and it didn’t disappoint.
Our tour guide was brilliant - really clear in delivery and detail, and also told some chatty people to respect those who paid to be there.
Hearing from a former prisoner and how it was made it so much more personal.
Would definitely recommend!

Robben Island trip itself is excellent but I recommend you don't book tickets anywhere other than the ticket office of the boat departure which is in the Nelson Mandela Gateway Terminal.
I'm afraid our experience with this company was awful. We booked the experience online and on arrival at departure terminal our booking proved not to be as expected - a later sailing than we booked, though this was not explained until we were embarrassingly turned back at the boat. Also it was significantly more expensive than buying the tickets at the Nelson Mandela Gateway Terminal. I cancelled, got a refund and bought tickets direct from the ticket office saving significant cash.

This tour is literally ALWAYS CANCELLED!!! Its a big shame. If its not due to the weather, its due to mechanical problems. Always something!!!

The his company is a total ripoff. We were charged $191.26. The only thing this company did was pay for the ferry tickets which are about $30 each and provided transportation to and from our hotel which was $20 round trip. The entire tour is run by robben island and former prisoners. I am so angry about this. I tried to dispute the payment with PayPal but was denied. Just purchase your own tickets and get an Uber

Your local Bank denied a Refund payment due to lack of valid reasons of your dispute.You willingly booked your tour experience to a private tour agency, with a personal Driver guide and pre booked tickets and many more features for your experience to be more informative but more importantly enjoyable and safe.We regret that all what you wanted is Uber ride.We are independent and reliable tour agency with almost a decade doing this tour experience.again many more clients are happy and satisfied of the service.Our tours are packages,offered with Entry tickets for your convenience.We can safely conclude that our prices are affordable to compare with the rest.

The ferry was comfortable and extremely well organised and when we arrived on the island found our way to a waiting bus. The tour guide was informative and we enjoyed being able to explore the island this way, but also getting off to enjoy the views across the water to Cape Town.
When we joined the walking tour, our guide was fantastic - an ex-prisoner himself with so many stories to tell, all from the heart. He had all the time in the world to answer the many questions fired his way, and answered them with dignity and humour.
I won't ever forget this - Mandela's cell and garden, learning about the cruelty the prisoners had, the life there and the living conditions.
Highly recommend.

I paid $88.98usd per person for 4 people. We were notified that we could not receive transportation to or from our hotel to the ferry. So, we had to find our own way to the station! The ferry ticket and tour is R600, which equals about $34usd. The person from this company met us at the ferry station and gave us our tickets which we could of purchased from the station ourselves. No one from this company accompanied us on, nor did any part of the tour. You are paying for transportation and ferry/ tour ticket. Rhis company only does the transportation portion in which we did not receive! They made a $54 profit per person for just giving us tickets at the station. No refund or compensation was given. I truly feel that this company is a scam for charging my family $216 for transportation we did not receive!
However, the tour is worth booking which can be done for $34usd at the V & A waterfront Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island. The experience was priceless and the information given was heart wrenching and gave me a new life changing perspective/ outlook on life as a Black African American woman.

The Tour prices as advertised are Clearly Seen to the public.The Pick ups and Drop offs from your Hotel are only limited on 15 km as also shows.As your Hotel was located on about 63 km from the place of interest that's the reason why your Tour company contacted you before the tour starts to choose from your Full Refund simply because it"s beyond our capacity OR to go ahead with your booking and your guide will hand to you the entry tickets on the meeting point.This is what you chose and he reminded you that No Refund is to be made, you agreed.Then You proceeded as it's planed.Unless you don't comprehend the meaning of the word Scam,otherwise,our prices are much affordable with the rest of companies and our services are remarkable with our long term experience in the industry of tourism.

So…. This trip to Robben Island is not recommended! You arrive on the island and are guided straight into a bus that is too narrow and takes about an hour through the deserted island town. You only get out once, where you get to a kiosk/souvenir stand to go to the toilet. ONLY photos from the bus if you were lucky enough to sit at the window. The bus has 2 seats on the left side and 3 seats on the right side. Those who sit in the middle in the 3-seater seat are the most unlucky. You can only walk around there alone if you have to get to the ferry, otherwise only with a guide.

The trip was cancelled due tI air o bad weather but the rest of the charter boats were sailing all day. Disappointing given we had no time to reschedule for another day
