Redescrubrí Buenos Aires, siendo porteña y todo ambos paseos, tanto el norte como el sur, me permitieron ver con otros ojos mi ciudad! La atención es excelente, los guías unos copados! y no requiere ningún esfuerzo.

Five or so years ago I took a bike tour like this one and thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommended doing this to my friends and promised there would be minimal riding on streets, 95% bike lanes. Turns out there is construction everywhere and we spent 60% of our time on streets riding with fast moving traffic. It was a frightening experience, especially in an unknown city. Our leader, Julia Anna, would take off fast from each stop, and fail to look back. Several times I got caught at a red light and could not cross with others. Since she never checked, I was left behind to catch up. With only 5 riders on the tour, she managed to lose 3 of us, going through an area so crowded it was difficult to maneuver the bikes. We simply waited for her to come back for us as we didn't know where to go! While fun to see the city, I found myself getting upset at her lack of concern. Finally, our last stop, Recoleta Cemetery, we were given 15 minutes and told Eva Peron's grave site was somewhere in the rear left. We were never able to find it! I had seen it on my prior visit, but felt bad for my friends who never had. I read about another tour that had a 30 minute break there and guide took them to the site. Clearly should have taken that tour. The final straw was our ride back to the bike shop, all in rush hour traffic, in the lanes with cars, moving fast and honking at us! By the time we got there, I was thoroughly disgusted.
I know they can't do anything about construction except find the best alternate route. However, it seems this company chose the worst alternate route. Unfortunately, since Trip Advisor bought Viator, it seems that if you are not careful, they assign a company and it is not clear what you've got. I would never go with this company again. I believe last time was with BA Bikes and a wonderful tour, but I would check with all on route time not in bike lanes due to construction.

First, I cannot say enough nice things about Cush, who was my guide this afternoon. He was friendly and knowledgeable and interesting. I was the only person in the south group today, so ended up with a private tour (lucky me)!
Buenos Aires is mostly flat, which made peddling around east and fun. Plus, you can cover so much more ground on bikes than on foot. Be warned, while this ride isn't physically strenuous, there are multiple parts where you must navigate through traffic, so it's not for the timid! Cush, however, was great about giving proactive directions and looking to see if I was still with him.
The only thing keeping this tour from five stars is that the bikes are not in great condition. Mine was mainly fine, just a squeaky back wheel and a seat that slowly slid down during the ride (thanks for helping me readjust!). However multiply that by however many people are typically in a tour and it's and issue.

Really enjoyed bike tours with this company in Buenos Aires. Nestor took us to La Boca and Puerto Madero yesterday. This was an afternoon tour and great fun.
Today we went to Tigre delta. We ride bikes, took a train twice and had a boat trip around the delta which was absolutely fascinating. People live on the island so move around by boat and 'service' boats visit regularly with food and other goods. Some of the homes and jetties are most attractive and boats are lifted out of the water by a hoist and the boars sits in a raised cradle until further use. I presume it floods on occasions. It is a full day excursion and both come highly recommended.

I originally signed up for the south tour, but due to the weather and some people in the group who wanted to do stuff in the north, we did a hybrid tour Including san telmo, la boca, puerto madero, recoleta, and retiro. The guide, Nestor, was awesome. He explained things well in both english and spanish, and was happy to answer questions throughout. The tour lasted longer than I think it was supposed to, but I'm certainly not complaining about that. My only complain is some of the bikes need a little work, but without much intense terrain in Buenos Aires, they were sufficient.

Buenos Aires is flat, with lots to see and perfect for sightseeing on a bike. Sadly, I can't recommend this bicycle rental shop. I would suggest people keep well away from it.
I visited the store with three of my nephews with plans to rent bikes for half a day. We are Argentine nationals and know the city well so had no need for a guided tour. The bikes were in pretty bad shape but I was hopeful we would be able to manage without too much trouble. About forty-five minutes into our ride through the Reserva Ecologica, one of the bike's chains began to slip off requiring us to turn it upside down, get it unstuck...etc. It took us about an hour and a half to ride back to the store during which time the chain came off another nine or 10 times. While the woman who had rented the bicycles agreed to replace the broken bike, she kept telling us this was a routine occurrence and refused to accept the store bore any responsibility for the poor maintenance of the bike. She resisted any suggestion that we should be compensated with an additional hour for the time we had lost. At one point she became very agitated and refused to rent any bicycles to us whatsoever. It was a very disagreeable experience and I recommend everyone keep well away from the place.

Two of us booked on the southern tour of BA. The bikes are basic, with no gears but comfortable and as there are pretty much no hills in buenos aires, these are not required.
There were only two of us in the group and cathy was a great guide. She rode at a very manageable pace and was clear with directions, signalling for traffic to stop when necessary. Cathy spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable.
I must admit, I don't think buenos aires is the best set up for bike tours, but cycle lanes have only recently been created and some of the traffic shows little respect for cyclists.
Overall however it was enjoyable and a great way to see parts of the city we wouldn't otherwise have seen. We felt safe and it was nice to cycle round the ecological reserve and particularly into la boca and he stadium. There is plenty of time to take photos also and have a wander around. You are provided with a helmet and free water by the company.
We thoroughly enjoyed it and it was probably one of or favourite excursions. Not for everyone, but we would certainly recommend it.

We have had some excellent bike tours, both in terms of equipment and the cycling/sightseeing experience, in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Thailand fishing villages and Amsterdam. In comparison, our experience here was dismal. Here's why.
Located on a quiet street, La Bicicleta Naranja looked run down and a cursory examination of their equipment was confirmatory. The elderly man running the store was about as run down as his bicycles and similarly interested in our needs. We sorted through the dilapidated inventory until we found bikes that fit as best as possible which, in my case, was not. In addition, on this urban biking experience. THERE WERE NO HELMETS!
Our private guide who had given us a van tour and who was an avid cyclist stayed on as our guide: she was wonderful, so this is not about her. Of my family of four, three of us are extremely fit and regular cyclists while the fourth is merely fit.
In addition to my poor fitting bike and the discomfort it brought, there is the fact that I do not think Buenos Aires is meant for touring by bike: it is too big and the urban attractions do not lend themselves for a visual bike-by. We would have been better off staying on our van, covering ground more quickly, thereby leaving more time for sights worth seeing, such as the Recoleta Cemetery. On the other hand, the we traveled surprisingly bike-friendly streets and, at all times, felt safe.
We were relieved when the tour came to an end. If you are really committed to the idea of a bike tour of Buenos Aires, find another rental shop and make sure you have a clear agenda of what you want and that your guide can deliver.
Good luck.

If you want to use the services provided by this operator, just make sure you just hire a bike, don´t get a tour! Our guide sucked on so many levels that it was simply too hard to detect whether her incompetence came from a lack of knowledge or poor English language skills. Too bad she majors in tourism..
I think that people with very little knowledge about matters like history or politics and a strong desire to express their ill-informed opinions about these same matters should not become tour guides, because guiding a tour is not abuot talking about yourself. Also: If you´ ve manage to become a tour guide without giving a thing about “200 years of boring Argentinian history”, don´t assume your clients are idiots. If, whenever you stumble across something you don´t know, you tell people that you´ll talk about it “later”, they´ll know pretty soon that that won´t ever happen. Also, it might be common to randomly chose the right or the left side of the road in buenos aires city traffic for your guided bike tour, but risky lane changes when turning are never a good idea, nowhere in the world, especially when you ask other people to follow you.
Had the guide invested less time in talking about herself and her friends, there would have been a lot more time for the actual sites.
To sum it up, a total waste of time and a considerable amount of money. You get a lot more information from reading the information plates in front of the sites, and they´re way less annoying. Plus, you can get a FREE bike for an hour a few blocks further down towards the harbor if you bring a passport copy, so go explore the area by yourself

Before we took the city bicycle tour, I stopped by and talked with the agent about what to expect. I was told that the tours were small and that we traveled at our own pace. I told them I am not much of a bike rider; and they assured me the guide would travel at my pace. HA HA HA. Little did I know, but my guide was a Lance Armstrong wannabe, and almost from the start he ditched me. I was struggling to keep up, only to have him and the two twenty-somethings also on the tour take off once I caught up. This made me MORE tired, which made me go even SLOWER. Plus, I heard NOTHING of the "tour." The guide actually did lose me once, and seemed p.o.'ed that I stopped and waited for him to return. (I do not speak Spanish and I did not know the city, so I was scared to guess which way they went and get lost.) Plus, Buenos Aires traffic is a bit nutty by American standards and I was mostly terrified the entire time. Maybe it had something to do with me almost getting hit by a bus. Twice. Anyway, unless you are a hard core bicyclist, AVOID this scam of a tour. But, if you're a hard core cyclist, you probably aren't interested in a tour anyway.
