My partner and I had a fantastic time with KLM Safaris on the Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour. Our guide, Frank, was outstanding—his deep knowledge of the land and sustainability, thanks to his background in geography and the environment, really stood out.
Frank’s English was excellent, and he was kind and patient, never rushing us. KLM Safaris’ commitment to sustainability was impressive, making the experience even more rewarding.
For a tour that blends natural beauty with responsible practices, I highly recommend KLM Safaris. A big thanks to Frank and the team for an unforgettable day!

Detour to materuni village makes a memory, starts from Moshi town heading to the village. Meet chagga culture,banana and coffee plantation when locally prepared and the taste was wonderful. Local food and local beer the dance. At waterfalls it's a beautiful place to relax ans swim, that expirience ........

The walk to the waterfalls was not that interesting. The waterfall itself was not amazing and if you've seen any number of waterfalls you won't be that impressed by it. The process of roasting and grinding coffee and lunch at a small village was interesting, however we felt the entire trip was designed to extract as much money as possible in the way of constant tips at every corner or discussion had with any local. Am on the fence whether the tour was enjoyable or not.

Thank you Matt for your review, Materuni waterfalls and coffee tour has been an amazing place for many visitors with over 120 five star reviews. Sorry that for you it was not an impressive waterfalls. Happy to learn that the coffee tasting experience was interesting to you. Regarding tips, our policy says "tip is not a must" this is personal willingness depending on how you enjoyed the service. Your guide Augustino told you about our tipping policy and thus whether the tour was enjoyable or not is just a matter of choice. Sorry in case tipping was unexpected experience.

A beautiful, natural place. Don't overrun and it's worth a visit. Our guide Augustino was just great! Very accommodating and he knows the land, vegetation, people and culture very well. You learn a lot of exciting information and feel very safe. A very dear person. We never had a better guide! The coffee experience is very special and recommended. You can accompany the coffee process yourself and taste the fresh, organic coffee! In order for the coffee to be good, a lot is sung and danced loud and loud during the processing for motivation. After the effort over coffee there is a great "Africa mom food" with banana soup and local food, banana beer on surcharge. The waterfall is very nice and reachable after a medium-short hike. Be sure to bring your walking sticks in case of rain or wet ground!

Die Kaffeetour mit ihrem interaktiven und authentischen Ablauf, begleitet von Gesang und Tanz, scheint besonders unvergesslich zu sein. Such a fun and rewarding experience! Loved it from start to finish. Our guide was patient with us as we hiked to the waterfall, explaining about the tribe and village along the way.
The coffee experience was by far my favorite though. Processing our own cup of coffee from the bean to cup was aaaammmaazing. And the sweet men and women of the village were so endearing as they cheered us on with their songs.
The lunch was surprisingly tasty and filling with a good variety. You can buy some coffee, honey, or banana beer and other souveniers to support the village, which I highly recommend!
Don't miss this tour! ALSO, i have compared similar tours and KLM seemed to offer the best value for money so I advise you book with them. Cheers and enjoy Tanzania!!

I had a fantastic time on the waterfalls and coffee tour! The waterfalls were beautiful, and the hike was refreshing. The coffee tour was fascinating, and the tasting session was delicious.
Our guide was excellent – very knowledgeable and friendly. He made the tour enjoyable and shared interesting stories.
I highly recommend this tour. It’s a great mix of nature and learning. Five stars!

We had a great experience going to Materuni village and walking in town. A cool adventure getting to the waterfall which was amazing. And one of the highlights: the ‘coffee party’ with the local family. That was a blast.

Hello!
This materuni day trip is a half-day for doing a waterfall hiking which takes like 2:30hours then back with a friendly guide to visit the coffee plantation to see how local people making coffee in a local way from the seed until you drink,
Also, we'll offer you a local brew from the and Chagga hot lunch then we call it a day.
