- Kyrrefr00Fantastisk utsiktHelt topp å komme til sky walken i Grand Canyon. Makan til utsikt skal du lete lenge etter. Eneste negative er at du ikke kan ta med deg egent kamera/mobil ut på sky walk. Her var det bare ansatte som tok bilde. Kostet jo over 70 $ å komme ut så det hadde vært fint med egne bilder.

The trip was to the South rim and the Canyon did not disappoint, but with all the stops for food / etc, the trip took over 16 hours and out of that we only spent 2.5 hours at the Canyon. Steven, our tour bus guide was great and did his best to keep the interest going. Frank also did a fine job driving.

TERRIBLE experience. Would not recommend. Bus was departing at 6am, but was 3HR LATE. While trapped on bus they give you a 30min SERMON. Bus stops for 15min at Grand Canyon MATHER Point then travels down to BRIGHT ANGEL LODGE for 1.5hrs. It was stated that only people paying ($40/pp) for the "optional" tour at Bright Angel Lodge are allowed to reboard the bus for the ride down from Mather Point, otherwise you must walk the 3mile journey in 35deg. TOUR GUIDE INSTALLS FEAR by stating that if you don't have trail experience or get lost, you'll be charged $1,200 to find you with the park rangers. This is ENTRAPMENT as a lot of people had aliments/ elderly and could not make the walk in that 35deg weather! You have paid for your bus seat already so this is TOTAL EXTORSION!
Return was 11pm! and the tour guide instructs you that it is very customary to tip $20 p.p for his hard work and long hours that HE went through!
NO TIP WAS GIVEN
Bus was nice though and air conditioned.

On behalf of everyone here at GCD we want to offer our apologies for the inconvenience you have experienced due to a mechanical issue of the bus. This was an unforeseeable incident, over which we had no control. We really appreciate you for bringing this to our attention and for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns. We are sorry that this affected your day.
Unfortunately, we no longer operate our own buses due to the pandemic. We are a very small family-owned business and we try to provide the best tours at the lowest cost. All of our coaches are chartered through Windstar Charter Lines (a local third-party vendor) and are maintained to the highest industry standards, however, the extreme temperature we can experience in the American Southwest can take a toll on the buses. Please know that we have reached out to their management regarding the bus issues. They have assured us that their mechanics will be working diligently to address and repair all the bus issues.
Please be advised that the extra $20.00 is totally optional. Your guide joins you throughout your trip to help you make the most of your experience, narrating along the way to all the points of interest. A walking tour guide is the best way to make your Grand Canyon tour a truly personal adventure. Your dedicated tour guide will be there to guide you, share facts and stories, answer your questions, and help you with any needs throughout the tour. As a bonus, our tour guides also take beautiful pictures to create lasting memories of your Grand Canyon tour OR you can choose to discover the rim of the Grand Canyon on your own. The park does provide free shuttles to everyone who is on a self-guided tour.
We apologize if the guide’s reminder was confused as a threat since it is very important to be at the meeting point on time for the tour bus can make its way back to Las Vegas. We would like to assure you that the guide will be spoken to about these situations.
Tipping/gratuity is customary in the U.S. as we work in the service industry and we strive to provide great customer service while on one of our tours.

The guided Tour to Grand Canyon stuck to the plan on the website. You got what you had paid for. I called the agency a day before and was informed via SMS where to come to be picked up. Worked well in the morning at 6 am. The bus trip was very long, so better bring something to read - if you can concentrate with all the noise around you. The tour guide was very friendly, Italian guy, told some stories about the landscape, then played a movie (animated children's movie "Cars") at a very loud noise, which actually nobody was watching, but it was running anyway. Followed by a documentary about Grand Canyon, which was kind of interesting, but also very loud. The scenery was good and the driver made me feel safe. The people were okay. At Grand Canyon we were allowed to go 2 hours to our own, which I really appreciated. The nature is stunning, the Canyon fascination, great colours, great views, you can walk along the rim and also descent a little into the Canyon, but 2 hours is not long actually, so I headed back timely. At the meeting point for the way back, there were of course some people missing and showing up 30 minutes late. The rest of us had to wait in the bus during that time. That delayed the trip back. I also caught a cold as I forgot to bring my hoodie and the ATC could not ne switched off or even regulated over my seat and I had sweat on the hike at the Canyon. The food (lunch and dinner) was good, although dinner was only necessary due to the delay. Back to Vegas at 11 pm.

Thank you for sharing your detailed review of your Grand Canyon Tour with us. We are happy that you enjoyed your tour and were able to experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon with us.
We always make an effort to try to please everyone on the bus even though this is sometimes impossible to do. We like to provide some sort of entertainment on the way back from the Grand Canyon and we are very diplomatic in our approach in choosing a movie for everyone to enjoy.
The tour includes 3 hours to explore the Grand Canyon. Please contact us via email and provide us your order # and we will look into why you were only allowed 2 hours at the park.
Please be advised that we are not allowed to leave a passenger at the Grand Canyon if they are not back to the bus at the scheduled time. Yes, this inevitably delayed our departure, but we do not leave our guests at the Grand Canyon so our tour guide utilized all of his resources until he finally located them.
We suggest that all our guests bring a jacket, or something to keep them warm while on the bus because the temperature on the Windstar motor coaches is pre-set and cannot be adjusted.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused.

The only real positive of doing this tour, is the fact you don't have to drive yourself. But it's also a big negative.
You have to be up before 5am in order to go through all of the guest hotel pick ups. After all of that you finally leave, but quickly stop again to pick up breakfast and lunch. This process took over half an hour and is quite frustrating when you just want to get on the road.
The bus sailed through Seligman and the Route 66 section. It was an absolute shame to not stop there for 20 mins and see the area. This is a big reason I'd consider driving myself next time, you have no control over these things.
By the time we got to the actual Grand Canyon park, it was 7 hours after getting on the initial hotel pick up bus. Just far too long of a morning when I could have driven myself in 4. The bus seats aren't the most comfortable either. Especially spending so long in them.
At the Grand Canyon the experience was amazing. Walking the rim was breathtaking and having the bus drop off at one stop and pick us up at another spot meant we didn't have to back track.
Leaving on time, we had another dinner stop back at the same breakfast stop. Being only 30 mins from Vegas, most of us just wanted to keep going back to our hotels. But I guess the tour operator has a deal in place and needs to make money. Fine.
The guide Curty was fine, he has a James Spader vibe.
Would I recommend doing it? Only if you don't want to rent a car and drive yourself. Driving yourself you'll see more and do it much quicker.

The bus is delayed for more than two hours. We still don’t know if it’s going or not!!!! Our plan for the day is hanging so far and it’s our last day in Vegas in this trip. Upsetting 😡😡😡 the operator is updating though

Amazing your. Highly recommend. Gia our tour guide was fantastic with Nelson as a great driver. If you’re coming to Vegas take this tour. They keep you fed and happy with some break taking views!

Hi there! It's a long trip to go and back, so like 1 hours to see the Canyon and more like 45 minutes into Bright Angel Lodge, that is pretty close and you can see the Canyon also. You are going to have stops to have lunch and snacks also during the trip.

Is the Stop Hoover Dam as written in the Description back in the Tour? Because a Person wrote there is no stop. Question is for the Year 2022? Thank you.

There is no stop at the Hoover Dam. We drove past it slowly and if you’re on the 2nd floor of the bus you can see it but you can’t see anything from the bottom seats. Hope that helps!

6am. We didn’t get back until around 10-11 pm, but we were late because of a sand storm.

We were staying at the Strat and got pickup up at Treasure Island. We took the Deuce (local bus) that picked us up right in front of the Strat and dropped us off in front of Treasure Island. The Deuce pass is $8 per person and you can use it for 24hrs. Very convenient wish we would have used the Deuce in previous stays.

What time would pick up be at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino? And would a picture on my phone of my Vaccine Card work for proof?
Your statement says that CDC guidelines require proof of immunization. That is no longer in effect. Are you still requiring this or negative covid test?
