The Northern Lights were spectacular. The Lodge was so comfy and the guide was very hospitable. He helped everyone with phone settings to take best pics. I would highly recommend this adventure.

Michi is absolutely a delight! He is professional and highly knowledgeable about the Northern Lights. His lodge is wonderful and cozy. Although, we didn’t catch the lights at his lodge. We caught them on the drive back. Michi pulled over and we seen the night sky filled with the Aurora. This is a highly recommended experience.

Tour company was great! The weather was not the best for viewing the lights and the tour company was very communicative with us. Upon booking excursion they were helpful in letting us know exactly pick up points and times. Day of event, they texted me weather updates to let us know what to expect. I would definitely book with Aurora Husky Lodge next time.

Everything was great! I loved that he educated us on aurora. The lodge was comfortable and we enjoyed our time. The lights gave us a peek!

One caveat. We were absolutely lucky with the aurora as the forecast called for KP2 and we had periods where it was KP4+. So this review is probably biased by such great conditions, but I'll try to be objective.
First off, the host - Michi - was great with offering photography tips and keeping an eye out for changing aurora conditions. He's very knowledgeable and his excitement for seeing and photographing the aurora certainly elevated the experience.
Transport: We didn't realize there was an option to drive ourselves to the lodge so chose the Fairbanks hotel pickup option. That process was fine, but our hotel was the furthest east, so we were the first picked up (~9:15 pm) and last dropped off (3:00 am). The van was a comfortable sprinter passenger van. With the five stops - including ours - we got to the lodge around 10:30 pm and the aurora was visible - probably KP2.
Lodge: The two story lodge was a great place to relax and get a warm drink between aurora cycles. Laid back atmosphere with plenty of seating areas - both private and more communal. The upstairs lodge area had large windows towards the west and east to keep an eye on aurora activity. There's also a bathroom available for use in the lower floor but it does require going outside to access the lower level. Lots of outdoor spaces to spread out and take photos and view the aurora. Virtually everyone made their way around the property to photograph from different vantage points throughout the night. We really appreciated being in one spot and having our own flexibility to be outside and inside when we wanted. One last key point - the lodge is on a ridge and has great territorial views towards the west, east and northeast which was perfect. On our visit, it seemed perfectly situated to see all the aurora displays in the area.
Highly, highly recommend Michi and Aurora Husky Lodge!!

Great value. Michi provided round trip transportation, a warm cabin, refreshments, and camera pointers. We went to several other viewing spots during the trip but Michi stood out as the expert in predicting when we could expect the big shows within a few minutes. We highly recommend Aurura Husky.

Weather report says heavy cloud coverage , they could just cancel it. We ended up staying in the lodge the entire time because nothing you could see.

However, even with forecasts of clouds or snow, the weather can change suddenly, and there have been many days where we were still able to see the aurora. To ensure we do not miss out on this opportunity, we do not cancel tours even in cloudy or snowy conditions. This policy is also stated on the booking site.
We offer a flexible 24-hour cancellation policy, providing a full refund option if you find the conditions unfavorable and cancel prior to 24 hours before the tour. If guests have not cancelled prior to 24 hours before the tour, we do proceed.

it is a pity that we didn't see a big aurora, but still enjoy the trip because our guide was very warm and professional. the lodge kept us warm too.

Michi was a great host. He communicated ahead of time for the exact pickup schedule, was very informative about the Northern Lights, and monitored their activity so he could let us know when it was worthwhile to go outside and see a good display. We were glad to be able to go inside when needed as it was very cold and breezy. Our night ended with an extra stop along the road when returning to Fairbanks. We were rewarded with a showy display of lights.

Had the most amazing time!!! Michi was so helpful and an awesome host!! Stayed in a cozy cabin, drank coffee, hot coco and had so much fun in the snow. Came 2 nights and saw the lights both times!! Totally worth it!! THANK YOU MICHI WE WILL BE BACK!

Hi, I am just one person but in order to book this tour requires 2 people. This is probably question for the administration of this tour. Can I buy one spot for Febr 26, 2022, if yes, please respond and I will pay to book it right away, Thank you

Hi.. my wife and I were there in December 2021.. I don't think you would have any problem by booking this just for yourself.
The operator is also the owner of the lodge, he's very nice and humble man, his name is Michi.
The only reason that he would cancel is because of bad weather, like rain or cloudy.. he picked us up at our hotel in fairbanks twice and we were the only two people for the tour.
I think he needs the business and would take anybody.
