Absolutely amazing! The Captain provided all kinds of information about the history of the area, the wildlife, the geology, and the natural science of the park. He took us to many different places and stopped whenever there was a wildlife sighting. The Northwestern Fjord was breathtaking. Over the course of the day we saw whales, porpoises, seals, sea lions, puffins, and other bird species.

Absolutely outstanding tour! We were blessed with a beautiful day, so of course that helped a lot, but Captain Mark and the rest of the crew were what really made it great. We saw one humpback, a Dall's porpoise, several otters, bunches of sea lions, and a gazillion puffins, as well as glaciers, rock spires, and other amazing scenery. Lunch and the fresh-baked cookies were yummy, and it was nice being able to go in and out as we wanted. Passenger recommendations: Get there to check in at least an hour early, and get in line; get on the boat ASAP and secure an inside table. After everyone is on, you can go in and out as you'd like, but you'll be glad to have somewhere warm inside to sit down. Also, everyone crowded the front of the boat, but you'll eventually see the same things from the rear, plus you'll be less crowded, more protected from the wind, AND the restrooms are back there. Definitely dress WARM! It was beautiful and sunny, and almost 70 degrees on land that day, but we were in heavy coats, scarves, hats, and gloves on the boat, and were all glad we had them. Oh, and I have to give a shout-out to the check-in and gift shop staff, especially Beth (check-in) and Jonny (gift shop). They really helped round out a well-operated tour company!

It was amazing trip looking at all glacier and wildlife upclose. We’re lucky to have beautiful clear weather on the day and to see animals, incl puffins, sea lions, seals, bald eagles, whales, Dall porpoise. We didn’t only sighted whales but saw National Geographic moment with 15+ whales feeding on the fishes. The captain was knowledgeable and gave time - heads up to view those moments.

We went on cruise through our Greyline Tour. It was amazing. We had gorgeous weather and saw Orca Whale pods 3 times. One breaching right by our boat.
The boat was spotless, The lunch provided was perfect and the crew was phenomenal. We came so close to the glacier and watching it calve was amazing.
To top it all off they brought fresh warm choc chip cookies made on board around to everyone on the way back. A memory I will never forget.

I had this tour July 2019, the captain’s name is Chris. It was not an ideal day, it was cloudy, even raining at times. But our captain was very knowledgeable with wildlife, and very patient and determined to show us the birds and especially the humpback whale. The crew were also very attentive to our needs.

The Northwestern Fjord excursion exceeds all our expectations for the trip. Not only Captain Chris is very knowledgeable about the waters, shores, glaciers, marine mammals, and birds but also he is a great narrator that makes the whole trip so enjoyable. He would steer the boat up and close that give us perfect views of glaciers, waterfalls, whales, harbor seals, sea lions, and nesting birds. We are so lucky to have Chris as our naturalist guide and captain. The crew was also really friendly and prepared delicious light breakfast, lunch, and cookies for afternoon snack. We highly recommend Northwestern Fjord Sightseeing Cruise with Kenai Fjords Tours.

We booked the longest tour hoping to see more marine life. The wild fires in Alaska recently has caused poor air quality and bad visibility. We were a little disappointed but there wasn’t much we could do. Despite the circumstances, our captain Chris was a great captain and naturalist guide. He managed to get us close to the wild life without disturbing them and really tried to get us another whale sighting, which was so hard due to poor visibility. We still saw majority of the wild life we hoped to see and it was a great trip! Really enjoyed the ride with Captain Chris as hot only he was passionate about the experience he would give us, he also swing the boat around trying to give us a good angle for pictures. We would highly recommend the trip.

This seems like the one to take if you want to see a lot. They have shorter cruises and ones that have fancier dining options. The breakfast snack and lunch were small and simple but food was not my priority. The guide and the whole crew were excellent! We saw 2-3 pods of orcas, otters playing in the harbor, lots of sea lions, a bunch humpback whales coming up to bubble net feed 3x, seals hanging out on the ice around Northwestern Glacier, puffins, bald eagles, and a fin whale! The seas were pretty rough and they gave us the option of rescheduling in case the tour was cut short but we went ahead since we were on a tight schedule and we were not disappointed. Their is a big Ace Hardware across the street in case you forgot rain gear or batteries or something. You might consider a smaller boat as it seems they can get closer to the glaciers.We picked up some people that had spent a few days on Fox Island and they seemed to have enjoyed their time there so that's something to consider if you have a lot of time.

We could not expect more. Seeing three different types of whales, sea otters, puffins, eagles, cormorans and more that I do not recall the name, sea lions and even a black bear.
During the cruise we were served with small breakfast, lunch and even chocolate chip before the end of the cruise.
I strongly recommend this tout for every one who happens to be in Seward
