This trip blew away our expectations!! Alaska was absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. Our guide, Cade Castle, was wonderful. He was so personable as well as knowledgeable. We all have adopted him and feel like we’ve made a lifelong friend. We will definitely be traveling again with BrushBuck and be requesting Cade as our guide.

Fantastic!! Cade Castle with BrushBuck Tours showed us the glory of Alaska: Huge Denali National Park and seeing the Great One (Denali) came with moose, caribou, and more, with indescribable, beautiful scenery. Kenai Fjords National Park has fantastic glaciers, beautiful islands with lots of seal and other wildlife, and many humpback whales (unusual for the whales to hold a group fishing pow-wow). Homer was a touristy town and a launching point to bears across the Cook Inlet via floatplane to a few days at family-run, Bear Mountain Lodge with lots of bears, beautiful mountains, and shorelines! The weather cooperated! These were the highlights. We did way more than what's described here. For example, I lost count while seeing a lifetime of beautiful bald eagles.

Our trip to Alaska was truly one of the most amazing experiences we have ever had! From beginning to end, it was full of beautiful scenery and wildlife in abundance! Eagles soaring, moose grazing, bears digging for clams and so much more, it was incredible!!! Cade, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and made sure we missed nothing. He was so enthusiastic and enjoyable that he is now apart of our family and we can’t wait for our next adventure with him!!! What was the best part of the trip, honestly, all of it!!! It will take weeks to go through all of the pictures and videos. Thank you,BrushBuck Wildlife Tours and Cade, for an unbelievable trip!

This was our first time to visit Alaska and it was an incredible trip. Brushbuck worked with us to give us the opportunity to see and experience all of the beautiful sights and places. Our guide was Cade Castle and he was wonderful. His compassion for nature and animals just increases your excitement. He is was so nice, friendly and compassionate in his job and his ability to spot animals from a distance is just mind blowing. Cade is not just your guide he becomes your friend and goes above and beyond to give you the best experience possible. We saw so many different animals and beautiful mountains, rivers and landscapes but my favorite was getting to view the bears at Bear Mountain. This is my second trip with Brushbuck tours. The first one was only a one day adventure to Yellowstone and our guide Halie was just as wonderful but to spend 9 days with a complete stranger enclosed in a vehicle? Well it was wonderful too because Cade was absolutely a pleasure to be around. Overall I would recommend this 9 day adventure to anyone because it was well worth every day and we were not ready for it to end. We will definitely call Patti and book again with Brushbuck. Patti DeQuardo was our contact person to make arrangements and she was as friendly and wonderful as Cade. She helped us book the side adventures that worked for us and helped make this the best experience possible.

I’m a woman in her late 70s, consider myself fairly fit for my age and open to new experiences. If you’re like me and thinking about doing this expedition, I say “YES! DO IT!” Guides Andrew and Patrick are very considerate, helpful with bags and climbing on and off the bus, and the float planes! They pace the travelling aspect well, comfort stops etc (“pit stops” to us Aussies) and meals. And that’s all before the expert commentary about everything from the animals, geology, and history of what we are seeing. A wonderful way to see glorious Alaska, truly the last wild frontier!

One of the most professional tours we have undertaken. Full marks to our guides Andrew and Patrick for their enthusiasm, professionalism, and willingness to go those extra yards to make the journey an exceptional experience. If you want to see bears and land on glaciers then this trip is for you. 😀

Guides Andrew & Patrick are giving us excellent trip. We were fortunate to have a clear day to see Denali. Amazing wildlife of doll sheep, mountain goats. Boat ride in Seward to see glaciers and humpback whale, bald eagles. Bear Mountain Lodge on Lake Clark amazing bears. Owners of Bear Mountain are wonderful hosts. Highly recommend this trip. This is our second tour with Brushbuck. We did Yellowstone and Grand Teton two years ago and had an amazing time.

This is our second summer with brushbuck following Yellowstone. We came back to them again because our first trip was just incredible (thanks, mark!). Our guide this summer, Andrew, couldn’t have found more ways to make the trip a lifetime of memories. He thought of everything, knew what he was doing and took special measure to keep both parents and kids fully entertained. He even shared all of his incurable zoom lens wildlife photography with us. He knew of all sorts of spots that no one else was in, where we could take in the beauty of our surroundings, seeing every single native species. All of the stops along the trip are carefully planned out and give an opportunity to see the beauty of Alaska at every turn. Shoot out to Par, who joined us for part of the trip during a training! Next up, Africa!

What an amazing experience Bear Mountain was! We flew in on a 1953 Otter Pontoon Plane, which was a first for my husband and me. The cabins were clean, cozy, and warm. It is hard to describe just how exhilarating being out in nature with wild animals and seeing them in their day to day activities was. I felt so privileged to be able to encounter such majestic animals in their habitats. Our bear guide, Mac, was extremely knowledgeable and we felt very safe with his guidance. Our group had several very close encounters with bears and foxes and never once did we feel in danger. The photos and videos we were able to get were amazing. I would say that this was an experience of a lifetime.
The cruise (with Major Marine Tours) at Kenai Fjords National Park was another highlight. So much water wildlife and gorgeous scenery. We actually got to see Hump Back Whales Bubble-net feeding. The ship was very comfortable and the crew was very accommodating.
We really enjoyed the White Water Rafting with Wilderness Wave Rafting Co. as one of our excursions in Denali. We took the easy ride since it was our first time and had a great experience.
Denali’s bus trip into the interior was probably our least favorite activity. We understood that the best part is the area of the park that we could not access because of the bridge being out and a landslide. But there just wasn’t a lot to see in the 5 hour trip. Also, if our guide, Cade, had not been looking for animals we would not have seen anything. The bus driver tried to entertain us with stories – but so many reviews talked about the wildlife in Denali – it was disappointing and LONG.
Our Brush Buck guide, Cade was a sweetheart. He was extremely knowledgeable of the animals and the land and the flora. He could spot animals long distances away. He was a super talented photographer which meshed well with my husband who also loves photography. He did a great job seeing to our every need during the trip. He was a quiet spoken young man, so those of us that sat in the back of the van had a hard time hearing all his words of wisdom as we drove from place to place. Maybe he could wear a microphone????
All in all, this was an incredible trip. We had a blast, saw so many animals and beautiful scenery, and learned so much about Alaska.
This is our 2nd Brush Buck Adventure tour and we would definitely recommend this company.

The trip to Bear Mountain Lodge where we could see dozens of wild brown bears close up, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I would recommend for everyone! On this 9-day tour we also got to visit Seward and take a wonderful day cruise of Kenai Fjords, seeing whales, sea lions, sea otters, and numerous other wildlife. We also got to see the majestic Denali Mountain and the surrounding area. Our guide Cade was excellent, taking us to many prime spots to see so much wildlife. I highly recommend Brushbuck for great tours of the Yellowstone/Grand Teton areas and Alaska.
