We were booked to go on this tour last week, Tuesday 3rd. After being collected, brought to the dock and then having to wait around for over an hour the tour took off. Unfortunately due to a storm the tour had to stop and we returned. This is completely understandable we were then advised that a refund would be processed that day, it is 8days later and I still have not received a refund and no response regarding proof of my refund, despite several whatsapp messages. Disappointing overall

My wife & I took this boat tour of the Amalfi Coast and Ravello from Sorrento on July 27, 2024. Good tour, wonderful tour guides (Simon & Alba) and great price!
The tour started in Piano di Sorrento, where we hopped on a boat. As we headed off to the Amalfi Coast, both Simon & Alba enlightened us with the history and fun facts during the ride. Upon arrival, we hoped on a bus to Ravello, where we were given plenty of time to walk around and enjoy the splendor that Ravello offered. we then got back on the bus and back to Amalfi, where we also spend time walking around shopping and eating. The tour continued by getting back on the boat and a ride to Positano. Here we were given time to again enjoy the marvel of Positano's shopping, food and beautiful sites. The tour ended with the boat ride back to Piano di Sorrento.
As for our tour guides, I can not say enough. I will say, Simon & Alba were very patient with everyone. They had a great attitude the entire time and were able to keep everyone smiling and laughing. They are both an abundance of knowledge, information and fun facts. They both work very well together. This is a tour to add to any vacation itinerary!

VERY disorganized to start. They tell you to stand in front of the hotel, but they gather by the street. The crowd by the street never heard of HP Travel.
The office tells you ‘the white bus’ but the driver has a different name and never heard of HP Travel - but he is your driver. Several people get on your bus, but they don’t belong there.
The office tells you the guide will come find you, but that never happens, she’s very busy.
The port is filthy, no place to sit, no toilet, you wait standing up for 20 minutes.

thanks for the review. We are sorry to hear that the tour didn't met you expections. During the high season there are a lot of situations to be checked and it's a hard word to manage a big group of people.

Amazing trip to Amalfi and Sopitano. Pretty expensive but the views were definitely worth it!

It took some time to get from the bus on the boat, we first had to get paper tickets after wich we had to wait around 20-30 minutes before boarding the ship. This was a bit annoying.
The ship had one stop at Sorento to pick up some more people after which it set out to Amalfi.
The sights from the sea were breath-taking. The stunning view from the water, of Naples and the Vesuvius next to/behind it were beautiful.
On the boat the guide gave us some interesting information about various sights on the coast and the island of Capri unfortunately I could not follow much of the information given due to the shrill speakers.
At Amalfi we got a good 3 hours of free time, a good amount to explore the beautiful city and have some limoncello at a café.
After this we went a bit back to Positano, a smaller village with a nice beach. We had 1 hour here, perfect because its quite small and there is not a ton to do.
When the hour was over we went back to Naples (after first stopping at Sorento) where the bus took us back to our pick up/drop off point.

I’d wanted to do a boat tour while here in Sorrento for a week, and as anyone who has researched them will know, there are a LOT of options. Fortunately, it seems we made the right choice.
Firstly, the price for a full day out (£77 each) was very reasonable and secondly, the organisers were very good at getting in touch. I’d had our tickets sent to an old email address that no longer exists, but they replied to my messages stating that it was all okay.
We were collected bang on time from our pickup point and driven to the harbour. The boat itself had plenty of people onboard but there was plenty of room to sit, and to move about to get photos.
As for the day itself, it was fantastic. This is one amazing stretch of coastline, and Simone and Alba were brilliant. On the way to Amalfi, they pointed out places of interest and filled us in on the history of each place. The rest of the crew were brilliant too (I’m sorry I don’t know their names), bringing drinks around and helping everyone out.
Three hours was a very good amount of time to see as much of Amalfi as we could, and it’s a truly striking place to see. We only had one hour in Positano, but that was probably enough. Maybe it was the heat, maybe it was the crowds (of which I accept I’m one) but it was very congested there, and I preferred the view of it from the boat to being in it. That’s not the fault of the boat tour though; it just wasn’t for me.
In all, HP Travel put on a brilliant day that lasted a good 9 hours and didn’t break the bank. Very happy to recommend them!

We were expecting a relatively small group that left from the main port in Sorrento. What we got was a large ferry type boat that had originated in Napoli and picked us up away from Sorrento by a 15 min bus journey. The boat arrived and all outside seats were already taken up by the time it reached us.
We ended up sitting inside for the long stretch to Amalfi which was made worse as we couldn't understand what the guides were telling us due to a poor speaker system and echoes in the cabin.
I've got to say however that the guides were excellent on a 1 to 1 basis. Very friendly and enthusiastic, it's just a shame we couldn't hear them properly over the ships tannoy system for either inside or outside journeys.
On the return from Amalfi, we managed to get an outside seat but unfortunately right in front of a group of young women who were only interested in partying loudly and playing their Bluetooth speaker even loader. When asked to turn off they were rude and the guides didn't seem very interested when we raised it and following this the boat crew proceeded to play loud music. It really wasn't that type of group apart from this smaller group mainly couples families and older guests.
The queuing at the ports also became quite frantic with people pushing in the line and arguments over that ensued between other guests as there wasn't a clear and orderly set up.
In all honesty, given the size of group and lack of a comprehensible tannoy, we would have been as well and much cheaper taking the scheduled ferry.

The whole process was very seamless from pick up to drop off. Simone, our tour guide was very friendly and patient. He took the effort to remember everyone’s name and professionalism is top notch.
The only thing we wished was slightly longer stop at Positano.beautiful place and felt a bit rushed.

A wonderful excursion! We took the tour from Naples. A great team and organization. Very polite and helpful guides. Gerald is a fantastic guide. Thanks also to Mariya, Amaya, Marlene. The excursion and the program are very nice. Amalie is very beautiful, don't miss to see the cathedral in Amalfi and to try the local taste.

A lovely relaxing cruise. Could’ve driven but fancied a break and thoroughly enjoyed it. Drinks on board and two stops. Booking system needs looking at as booking on line still requires standing in line to get an actual ticket? Need to look forward. Lots of steps down and back up to port but worth it!
