My 17 year old drove to TTP for the first time all the way from Port Pirie and received a $63 fine for her troubles. She swears she did not see any signage with time limits but apparently parked in the 90 minute zone, as if the drive down wasn't daunting enough! I guess she will just go to the city instead from now on & not take any detours.

Went to see a movie today at the hoyts in ttp went in to a hour and 40 minute or so film depending on ads and credits and such and came out to a 63 dollar fine. Usually i would be a bit more understand if the fine sign wasn’t smaller than a A4 sheet of paper in size. Aswell as the carpark not being near enough to the cinema that would warrant parking in that section for easy access as there are no walkways anyway. What film nowadays is under 1 and a 1/2 hours.

Fined an ADF veteran, shopping for clothing and food after a having a medical procedure that day (evidence provided and car has visible stickers) and with service related issues $63.00 for being 25mins late to return to the car in a 90min park. And found the evidence provided insufficient to waive the fine. Even though the 25mins late could be accounted for by the Westfield TTP escalator being out of service (meaning a 10min detour), issues at Kmart with tags not being removed from clothes (held up) etc and school holidays making things take longer unfortunately. And all would be on cctv.
Disgusting that a shopping centre/council offers an option to contest a fine and then totally disregards the evidence provided to get $63.00 from a retired ex service member on incapacity payments. Westfield when I rang did nothing to help this situation. And City of Tea Tree Gully council clearly have no empathy or understanding towards people with or without disabilities etc. Will never shop at Westfield TTP (or others again). Will buy online instead. Hope this was worth whatever deal TTP gets for $63.00 from CTTG council.

I have ended up here after looking for more information on the Westfield TTP parking fine, and I am not surprised to hear I am not the only one. We made the trip to TTP yesterday to meet family friends, and after doing 3 laps of the carpark with a screaming baby who needed a feed, parked in the first available park we found (interestingly, we saw 2 cars in pram parks that didn't have baby seats, one that was driven by some P plate teens who definitely didn't have a pram when they returned to their car as we were walking into the mall). It turns out the park we took had a little sign on the concrete support post that we (and many around us) missed. It wasn't until we got back to the car that we realised the $63 mistake (happy fathers day)!
I could argue that part of the reason we exceeded the ridiculous time limit was due to a lack of facilities inside the mall - one elevator at each end of the ground floor as an example - there were 6 families waiting in line to get the lift!!
I think it is appaling to charge for parking when we are only visiting your centre to spend money at your tenants, which in turn keeps you in business.
We won't be choosing to shop at TTP going forward, I don't understand why you would make it harder to shop at a bricks and mortar establishment when online shopping is dominating - and I don't get parking fines from Amazon.

Looks like it isn’t uncommon recently to be hit with a fine. Where were the signs? I have been to the plaza over the years but had never ever known that there are time limits for the parking. Well now I know. What an unpleasant surprise!

Beware!!!!
The place is massive with tons of car parks and shops, but there are cleverly marked parks for 1.5 hours which will trap you in a $65+ fine. The signs are easily overlooked (not that this is an excuse!!). They must catch tons of people watching movies!!!!
If you take an hour to eat and take an hour to see 4 shops and spend money, they’ll fine you for the privilege.
Definitely leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

I recently took my young children to Tea Tree Plaza for Timezone and Zone Bowling play, and lunch date, I deeply regret choosing TTP over other shopping centres. I should have gone to Woodville gaming or Marion. My experience was marred by an unfortunate and frustrating parking situation.
After arriving, I found myself parking in the wrong area, which only became apparent after I received a $63 fine. This happened because there were no clear, visible signs to direct me to the 5-hour car parks suitable for extended visits like ours. Why aren’t there large, obvious signs to guide patrons to appropriate parking areas for activities such as for long visits? How long and how far do you expect us to drive around in circles, especially with small children, to find these 5-hour car parks?
I am totally appalled and very angry about this fine. TTP management should take steps to correct this situation and place big signboards, guide-signs. This experience has convinced me to never spend my money there again. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. Spolied my mood altogether. As I have been to all Other shopping centers don’t penalise their customers for spending time and money at their establishments, even if they slightly overstay.
It is essential to have clearly defined and visible signage indicating where patrons can find suitable parking, rather than relying on tiny, unreadable writing at the entrance that requires near-superhuman vision to read while driving by. Thank you.

Absolutely disgusting parking experience, if I could give 1/4 star I would as many other people, 15 mins over and coped a $61 dollar parking fee please beware on all days Westfield has asked the council to monitor all carpark .

I too have just received a parking fine and spent over $1,000 at this shopping centre. Can you advise what the outcome was? It is ridiculous to think you spend money to support the economy and help retain people in employment and then get a fine! We are all struggling as it is with increased mortgage rates and increased costs of living and then get fined when you are spending money....

The new restaurant Area in tea tree plaza is horrible. It was so crowded I could hardly breathe. Loud music everywhere. Will not be going there again
