Get to Know Animals is a small zoo but has lots of animals and opportunities to hold them and learn about them.
There are loads of reptiles we particularly love Ike the Tegu.
There is lovely nocturnal area and fish tanks and frog as well.
We really like Kim and Aggie the monkeys, watch out for the squirrel monkeys though as they like wee on heads.

We booked for the one hour slot to meet and handle various animals. The two rangers were fantastic, so knowledgeable and friendly. The session was an hour but we definitely had more time, the session was 1 hour and 30 minutes! We met a wide range of animals, and then spent more time looking around the zoo. I would highly recommend!

I booked at the end of February 2024 to attend on a Wednesday in March 2024, drove over an hour to find the zoo closed, doors locked and no signage or explanation why. I tried ringing the number but got a voicemail system.
From the main website it looks like they have changed their opening hours to Fridays and weekends only but I have no communication about this change since my booking, the booking wasn’t cancelled and I haven’t yet received a refund as at the time of writing they are closed.

Hi there,
unfortunately we have no knowledge of your booking or your complaint. If you went on our website, did you not try to "contact us" or email us directly.
It Seems odd that you would go the extra mile to give us a negative review and not to actually contact us to rectify this.
We would appreciate it if you could call us on 020 8923 3456 or just reply to your booking confirmation email and someone will be in touch ASAP.

Had my reservations when this first opened due to pricing structure. Think they have revisited this and so decided to take my grandchildren 10 and 7. They had a great time looking at all the animals and although very small got to choose one animal each to handle which they thoroughly enjoyed. The knowledge of all the staff was fantastic and made it a very interesting and enjoyable visit. A worthy cause which makes spending that little bit extra , very worthwhile.

If I could give a 1005 stars, I would! We celebrated our sons 3rd bday on 14 Jan 24, Donna and Kelly hosted the party as if our son was their own.. super fantastic show of animals, the interactive animal handling was extremely entertaining, both kids and adults had the most amazing experience and memories to cherish for a lifetime! I cannot thank you enough Donna for your hospitality&kindness! The party room is definitely insta worthy, the animal handling show was informative and super fun and hosting was over and beyond welcoming! I cannot wait to return already!!!

We paid for the party package for our son’s birthday. We got the cave with all the animals for an hour.
It was absolutely brilliant!!!! Such a different type of party & everyone who came absolutely loved it, including the birthday boy.
Couldn’t recommend this enough x

We arrived and were immediately made to feel welcome. We had a tour around the petting zoo, which itself was amazing. The rangers we had with us in the day were Susie and Ashleigh they were both incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, making an already magical experience even better. We did a lot of the handling experiences and all of them felt like once-in-a-lifetime moments. Me and my wife even felt comfortable enough to conquer our fears of Tarantulas and Millipedes. We couldn't recommend this enough to anyone.

Yesterday (27.12.23) We traveled to "Get to know animals" with my family, upon arrival it was a quick, hassle-free entry and we were greeted by the staff who seemed very enthusiastic and polite. We were then kindly shown around the reserve by Ashleigh, who was willing to show us so many animals and tell us about each of them! She seemed very knowledgeable and keen to show us around throughout the duration of our visit. Every enclosure looked well cleaned, maintained and the animals all seemed well nourished and healthy, It was definitely worth the journey and I would certainly come again in the future, thanks again 🙂

What a brilliant place to visit . Definitely for Any age .. absolutely loved it . Played with the ferrets and petted a bunny. Staff so friendly and caring . All animals are rescued . They do a fabulous job caring for them .. only a small place but lots of little animals to see . Perfect to get to know the little furry babies ..inhabitants include .. monkeys .. fish .. alligator… bunnies .. ferrets .. reptiles.. .. and many more . A fabulous experience. Highly recommend a visit . Prices are good too ..

We visited here not sure what to expect but we were blown away by the experience. The staff we all so friendly from the start.
We had a look round first then decided to do the ultimate experience. For £100, both of us got to hold loads of different animals and Ashleigh the ranger with us was so knowledgable.
We were there in total about 3 1/2 - 4 hours. We didn’t feel rushed at all and saw it as great value for money compared to what other animal experiences cost elsewhere. It’s a plus too that all the money goes into the animals care. Love how animal-focused they are too- they don’t get the animals out if they don’t want to come out and also if they are having an “off day”.
What an incredible place to take in animals as they do and care for them so well.
