What an amazing view right over to Seaton car park is very big so plenty of parking space a bit of a pull if you are walking up from Beer not for the unfit

Lovely walk along the coast path to Branscombe and came back along the lower path which seemed slightly easier.

We were staying in Beer and decided that we would catch the 899 bus to Branscombe and walk back. The ride to Branscombe on the bus was great fun, with brilliant veiws that you just wouldn't get in a car.

We got off outside the village hall and made our way down a 1/2 mile path that takes you through the valley alongside the stream to the beach. The beach itself is pebbled, with a cafe right on the front.

The coast path is visible to the East, climbing to the peak of the hill. If you're walking in this direction the first part of the walk is the most hilly. Once you're up it's flat. We stopped at the top of the hill to admire the veiw.

The rest of the walk is flat, passing through grassland with veiws out to sea on your right. We passed a unusual building standing alone, it looked like a former observation tower. From then it's a downhill walk into Beer, with great veiws of Seaton and Lyme Bay.

We enjoyed our walk, and recommend catching the 899 bus one way.

This was a challenge and we enjoyed the walk despite some very narrow paths and winding steep stairs here and there. The views were spectacular with many points of interest on a glorious sunny day. We were grateful to whoever provided the well-maintained stairs and signage, including several posters for Samaritans, which gave us pause for thought. Not suitable for anyone who isn't fit and strong but the final descent through a virtual tropical garden was just one more added delight.

A lovely walk along a beautiful coastline. However, this walk is extremely challenging with lots of steep inclines/hills which are very challenging. However, in the end, it is worth it and the walk overall is gorgeous and rewarding 👍 make sure you are prepared!

Wear good shoes, take a bottle of water with you and this is a great walk. Some fairly steep inclines but some magnificent views.

We walked from Branscombe to Seaton and back, parked in the carpark in Branscombe £5 for 7 hours. We followed the top walk over the cliffs on the way out and came back on the lower coastal path back. The hill out of Branscombe is steep but worth the effort when you see the views and it gets your heart and lunges working 😊
The path is easy to follow and is well signed we stopped in Beer for a cream tea and the Bay view which was excellent and covid compliant. Then we set out for Seaton via the steps up through the gardens away from the beach, when we reached Seaton we walked along the peeble beach, which was hard work. We had fish and chips from Frydays in Seaton and then headed back along the signed route along the road until you meet up with the coastal path again. The lower path at Hooken cliff is picked up and it proceeds left downwards via steps and care should be taken, I think the lower path appears slower due to decline and the need to be sure footed. We throughly enjoyed the walk the signage is good and the paths are clear to follow, we would recommend this walk but consider having the appropriate footwear particularly if it's wet. Overall it an excellent day's walking.

Not for those that don’t like up and down or don’t have the right footwear but otherwise some sensational views. If the sun is out and you are walking west from Beer the views across the water are brilliant. Reminded me of St Lucia. I kid you not.

easy to park at Branscombe beach; coffee, drinks and ice cream, toilet facilities. Great walk starting up a steep hill with over 100 steps leading to terrific views.
