I booked a Spitfire flight from an internet search. It was a long held ambition to fly in one.
Easy to book and pay. Advantage is the ability to visit the wonderfulWar Museum too.
Weather matters when flying, so the go ahead given when weather was suitable. Excellent helpful service. Easy to park too.
The planes are superb and kept in pristine flying condition. Pilots and staff couldn’t be better. So experienced and reassuring. All staff were so friendly and welcoming. Wonderful outside viewing area close to planes. Lots of refreshments for flyers and guests.
A highlight was to fly in double formation before other Spitfire broke away to go to White Cliffs. So incredibly exciting. My pilot was wonderful.
It was a day I’ll treasure forever. An ambition fulfilled . Thank you.

I booked a 40 minute Formation Spitfire Flight Experience for myself and my son.
It was an incredible experience!
What made the occasion even more special was the contribution from all the team at Aerial Collective. The attention to detail started from the booking confirmation and continued right through to the memory sticks supplied afterwards with our take off and in-flight footage to enjoy again.
Our pilots Stu and Brian were fantastic, and it was wonderful chatting about Spitfires, Duxford and everything else in between regarding flying.
The ground crew, Lisa, Holly and George's informative knowledge on so many planes from the WW2 era was excellent as we both enjoy learning about that history.
It was an incredible experience!

For any Spitfire enthusiast this is worth saving for and an amazing experience for the flyer and their guests.
I booked a flight in a Spitfire for my husband and from the start I was impressed. The invitation to his flight was beautifully made and presented. The information was clear and when I had a query about arrival on the day (9.45 when the museum doesn’t open till 10.00) I received a lovely email in response explaining what would happen in the day.
The day before the flight, I got a call from Jack at 18.45 to say the flight would go ahead and setting out the full details for arrival. The call was friendly and informative.
On the day, we were met by George who guided us and 2 of our children (both adults) through our entrance, allowed us to attend the preflight briefing with my husband and the other flier that day and looked after us until my husband’s flight.
Lisa also looked after us and chatted while we waited for the weather to clear so the flight could start.
Stu the pilot kept a constant watch on the weather so that the flight would be safe but also pleasurable with good visibility.
The flight lasted 23 minutes and my husband got to take the controls and fly for 10 minutes of the time. It was a childhood dream come true with the whole experience being enhanced by the wonderful team at Aviation Collective.

Absolutely amazing. A very big thank you to all of the team. Especially Stu Goldspink my pilot for the trip of a lifetime. I was fortunate enough to fly in the only two seater Hawker Hurricane complete with acrobatics. Two full loops and a barrel roll. As well as taking the controls for a few turns and some level (ish) flying. My wife was well looked after as she waited in a private enclosure, with complementary drinks. Well done everyone.

This Spitfire flight with Aerial Collective was a fabulous experience and wonderful day out from start to finish. Well organised, friendly and passionate about warbirds, every member of staff went out of their way to make sure that all the family were well looked after and had a chance to share to experience. A truly special flight with Charlie Brown including a lot of hands on time and plenty of aerobatics. Particular mention to George and Lisa too for their wonderful hospitality. If you get a chance, it’s a ‘must do!’

We recently had the privilege of taking my 90 year old father for a flight in a spitfire at Duxford. From the moment we were met at reception things could not of been better. My dad was looked after throughout. He was treated with kindness, respect and patience by all of the ground crew in particular Lisa and the pilot Stewart who gave him a great flight, as well as two Victory Rolls !! Nothing was rushed it was all handled very calmly and professionally. Everyone made sure dad was comfortable and understood what was happening. It was a long held dream for dad that was fulfilled with care and consideration. We, his family and friend, were also looked after with tea/coffee and cake in a great viewing area.
It’s difficult to express in such few words but suffice to say WOW we are still talking about it. You made an old man very happy and gave us some great memories. The video that was taken throughout the flight is particularly valuable in remembering what has been a wonderful experience. Thank you to the whole team that work hard to make sure everyone has a fantastic experience.

Went on a spitfire experience on the 28th of August 2024, and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. The crew were very friendly and had great knowledge of all the aircraft. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who is a fan of flying or a world war 2 nut like me 😃
The day is all about you and any guests you bring, the staff cater to any of your needs with food and refreshments. All the pilots are very experienced and will spend time with you to discuss what you want to get out of the experience, and may even let you take control of the plane like I did.
To summarise I would do it all again if I could. A big thank you to all the crew

Amazing experience! The team were brilliant from start to finish, from booking dates all the way to the photos after the flight it was great
Hospitality team looked after my family including two young children who were able to get hands on with the aircraft and even got some great family photos on the wing after my flight thanks to my Pilot “Rats” who was brilliant with my family as well as in the air. Really genuine and friendly guy and made the day (if flying in a spitfire wasn’t already enough to make your day)
I will be booking again one day thats for sure!
