On Mount Tabor, which the vernacular calls a hill, I found not only the peace of a silent nature, but the very reflection of the human condition. Here, my gaze is lost between the hedge it hides and the immensity it reveals, and it is in that limit that I see infinity. It is not the eye, but the thought that, going further, manages to cross that threshold and imagine what is not given to see.
This hill, modest in the eyes of the distracted, is the scene of my deepest meditation on existence: the contrast between the desire for immensity and the finiteness of our being. Sitting on this hill, I heard the echo of that eternal silence that survives the roar of life. It is not the beauty of the place that strikes, but its ability to arouse in the soul an aspiration that knows it is vain, yet insists, indispensable.
Oh, those who are preparing to visit Mount Tabor should not only seek the pleasure of the landscape, but should prepare for an inner journey, a reflection that can console and at the same time disturb. Because infinity, in its splendor and its terribleness, is not outside of us, but in that part of us that suffers and hopes.
I recommend this visit not for joy, but for thought. Come on a day of solitude and let the wind speak to you, let the sky embrace you and let the hedge hide the horizon from you. Then you will understand, perhaps, how deep the bond between man and nature is, between limit and infinity, between life and that nothing that dominates and defines us.

If we were a little disappointed by the Leopardi house that has become, in our opinion, more of a commercial business than an emotional experience, we really enjoyed the visit of the Infinity Hill, object of restoration and enhancement by Fai. A few steps from the birthplace of the poet , in the garden of the ancient Monastery of St. Stephen, this is the place where Leopardi set one of his most famous poems The Infinity. As always, the assets managed by Fai convey positive feelings, the result of the passion that volunteers and members manifest for our artistic and cultural heritage. The immersive and engaging projections help the visitor to rediscover the history, meaning and universal value of the few verses of this poem that has become a masterpiece of Italian literature. We then access the garden itself where we breathed that 'aura of tranquility that allowed us to take a step back in time by observing the landscape that opens before our eyes with the gaze of the poet. We were sorry to note that Casa Leopardi is literally taken by the assault by tourists while in the garden we were the only visitors. Too bad!!!. For us it was a place of the heart that we savored in silence and with great emotion.

During our visit to Recanati, we took a walk in the road leading to the hill of infinity of Leopardi.
The landscape on the Marche hills would have been more beautiful and suggestive, if it were not for the little care we noticed: the dense and neglected vegetation and trees cover the landscape a lot. They should know and have to value such a place more!
This place undoubtedly has a historical and cultural importance and is still worth a visit, but it turned out to be too abandoned to fend for itself, too bad... If you go there, you will also notice that, some plaques engraved with the poet's verses, are covered by weeds.

The hill that inspired the poet is truly evocative: it is excellently managed by the FAI, which enhanced it with an initial film and with a visit to this well-kept garden, a place of contemplation and suggestions.

We visited Recanati this summer and we couldn't have made a better choice... In addition to Leopardi's house (which we didn't visit) there are landscapes, churches in the center (church of Sant'Anna) and shops to see. All in the context of a very clean town with attention to every detail.

Certamente, è un giardino con dei vialetti. Prima di accedere a questo giardino, c’è una parte, all’interno dell’edificio dove c’è la cassa, in cui ci sono dei gradini. Ne tenga conto. All’interno di questo edificio ci sono approfondimenti sul Colle dell’Infinito, è molto interessante ed aiuta a vivere meglio la parte del giardino.

Salve, sul sito leggo che il colle è chiuso per i danni subiti dal terremoto però allo stesso tempo leggo le recensioni postate recentemente. Quindi si può visitare o no? Grazie

Il Colle è stato appena inaugurato. In pratica si tratta di un piccolo parco sotto Casa Leopardi che è in realtà un palazzo vero e proprio con una parte abitata dagli attuali Conti. In estate anche alcune sere si può passeggiare all’ interno. C è una piccola sbarra che viene abbassata credo dopo le 20
