Had a day out with my family at Tropiquaria and we quite enjoyed it it has a lot of play equipment for the young ones and many animals to view the talks by the keepers are very informative we were there about 4 hours

Visited Tropiquaria with my young granddaughter we spent about 4 hours there the nice weather helped as my Granddaughter enjoyed the outdoor play areas the talks by the staff about the animals was quite informative overall a Good Day

What a great place! Lots of interesting animals, friendly staff, great talks. Lemurs, tapir, wallabies, monkeys, lizards, parrots.

Great family day out. Our 6 year old loved it. Friendly staff. Good indoor and outdoor play. The animals are interesting to see. Some different ones. We spent about 3 hours wandering round. Car park is a good size. We didn't use the cafe but looked reasonable prices and good options - toasties, cheesy chips, burgers etc.

Would recommend a visit, well worth it..so much to see, so much to learn. Many animals, some very unusual. Definitely a must when it comes to supporting the conservation of these animals.

Visited as a family of 4 adults + 4 children ages 11 to 15.
Saying "Thank You" doesn't quite cover how much we enjoyed our visit.
From our arrival at reception to the wonderfully informative "animal talks" we were made to feel welcome and valued as visitors.
Your historic buildings survival is a joy to behold after seeing some modern buildings become derelict after a few short years. Thank you for taking care of it I know its challenging and difficult to maintain.
Your cafe? Loads of space, good food at reasonable prices, great cup of tea BTW, and charming staff.
Your animals and the Keepers talks were great. Some of your animals have had their struggles but it's clear their Keepers are knowledgeable and care for them deeply.
Your young and enthusiastic staff were friendly and hard working - fantastic well done to them!
Yes we can see how you have struggled to "keep going" through some tough times and we as a family commend you and value your work. The grounds have a beautiful rustic charm that allows everyone to relax and enjoy in peace and calm, a rarity in this hectic world. Even us adults got involved in a game of hide and seek on your pirate ships. We even enjoyed a display from a Hawk hunting (not yours I might add and "off site") in a neighbouring field.
We shall visit again

We visited today and had a great morning. The staff were super friendly, clearly cared for the animals and gave informative talks. Most of the animals are either rescued from illegal/neglectful captivity or bread at the zoo. The animals were clearly well cared for in clean enclosures. Individuals who have commented negatively maybe should give serious consideration to their trip prior to visiting.
I visited with my teen daughter, had I had younger children we would have stayed longer as the play areas were good.
We stayed for just over two hours, completed the Easter trail and had a coffee. Nice way to spend a morning.
Would possibly have liked the option of a return visit within 7 days as many other similar parks do but not complaining at 10.50 for a child and 13.00 for an adult it wasn’t overly priced!

Absolutely amazing place. Visited today with my mother husband and 2 children age 1 & 5 we loved it. Not a big flashy zoo but plenty to see the staff were very informative.. the lady in the gift shop was so friendly and nice with the children.. loads of beautiful animals to see and only 15min drive from butlins.. clean toilets and nice caffe area. lovely park area with zipwire Castle climbing area and 2 huge wooden pirate ships to climb on with a sandy area.. absolutely beautiful place 10/10 thank you would definitely recommend also very affordable!!

An eccentric and enjoyable mornings entertainment. Children enjoyed it, aminos look happy and well cared for, building is incredibly quirky.

Not been here for a few years. Saw some bad reviews about this place on here. When myself, my wife and my wee grandson visited we thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in Doniford bay and tropiquaria was one of the places we visited quite regularly. At the time we came you could always come back within a few days with the tickets bought. Yes, it might be a small zoo but my wee grandson loved it. He loved the big pirate ship and the play area in beside the cafe. Those two places alone were well worth the entrance money. We loved the Washford communications section too and I'm sure there was a puppet show as well. All of this was included in the price and even if we didn't visit the animal enclosures, the above mentioned was well worth the visit and good value for money. Hope to go back in July when we're back down x

Hi. I wouldn't! There are some great things inside such as the aquarium, nocturnal section and the central tropical part. However there are also lots of great animals outside as well as things for the kids to play on.

Just had a lovely day out at tropiquaria with my family (husband,daughter, son in law, grandson, son, daughter in law, grandson) I have taken my son and daughter many times when they were young now 27 and 30 respectively to tropiquaria in the past but wondered what has happened to the old radio display and it is a shame no-one has taken over the puppet theatre. It seemed a little quite there today but I do hope your other past days have been busier. Thank you to all the lovely staff as we had an enjoyable day out.
