It’s a surreal jungle with the most beautiful trees and animals spread across a vast landscape. Pictures cannot capture the beauty that you experience in front of you. Very less written about hence very few visitors to pollute the quiet of the forest. Expect some very polite and passionate tour guides. Our guide Rajit Singh +91 751-8408912 was our friend and family for the day . Even though we didn’t see the tiger in the morning ride Rajit ensured that we do the sighting at Kishanpur Tiger reserve in the evening. Of course the deer , crocodile, elephant, peacock and other wildlife were also a beautiful sight to see. You require an additional pass if you wish to do Rhino safari. Dudhwa is unique national park where you can see both tigers and rhinos. We were suggested to visit Nepal next time as the Nepal national park is close by .

"If you want to see a tiger you go to a zoo, and if you want to see the jungle you come for a safari", told our guide. It was indeed very true, you cant get a jungle in zoo, the jungle itself has its own persona and feel. Sighting of the animals is bonus. Having been to many safaris both in India and Africa, all I can say is that Jungles are like individuals, having a character of their own. Go meet them.

Pro Tip: Only two safari vehicles are allowed per day in the Rhino Area on first come first serve basis. We were lucky to have made it and saw 5 rhinos, include a female and its calf.

Apart from "Kaziranga", The "Dudhwa national park" has become the Second home to Indian Rhino. Also its a major refuge for tigers. Elephants are found in herds. This park shares borders with Nepal forests so sometimes Resident Rhinos and Tigers crisscross the borders. an amazing spectacle awaits in this abundance of flora and fauna

Dudwha National Park forms part of the Dudwha Tiger Reserve. It is not very well known and so is not often very busy. This may account for its unspoilt condition - it is an outstanding experience just to visit. We saw only a handful of other safari jeeps on our visit and so you will get a good view of wildlife when you find it.
This is a poor part of India and so the Park facilities are basic but it is rich in natural beauty and wildlife. We saw numerous species of birds (large and small), wild boars, many species of deer and an excellent example of a peacock in full colourful plumage.
The high light of this visit was the safari on elephant back, through tall elephant grasses to see the one horned rhino which has only recently been reintroduced into the area. We were lucky as we went the day before heavy rains which closed the park to protect the environment.
We stayed at the outstanding Jaagir Lodge which is about a forty minute drive away. We had a private guide and private vehicle. Our guide dealt with all aspects of entering the park including providing a copy of passports. This was an outstanding experience and exceeded our expectation even though we did not see a tiger.

Dudhwa National Park forms the core of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. We visited the park to enjoy the beauty of vast Terai grasslands, interspersed with woodlands and wetlands. The visit was productive, we could see a rhino, quite a few barasinga and at least 50 species of birds in one trip. Francolins and waterfowls were abundant. Hog deer was the key species in grasslands and spotted deer was most common. Good opportunity to photograph wildlife without getting blocked by many other vehicles. Accommodation at the Forest Rest House was simple and basic. A must visit for wildlife lovers. Look for a driver named ‘Deepak’ or guide named ‘Sonu’.

A little known tiger reserve and for that there are far fewer visitor numbers. We were on our own most of the time. The birdwatching was brilliant as well. 124 species in 4 days.

Dhudhwa National Park is not very commercialised and this has limited safaris and vehicles available. The forest is very dense and has large population of tigers, rhinos, etc. However as we went when there were lot of tourists and very cold we could not spot tigers or rhinos. We did manage to see different breeds of deer, wild fowl, monkeys, birds, otters and several water birds. The safari vehicles are good and the Forest is very beautiful.

I haven't seen such a dense forest before. I must say it's a hidden treasure. Tiger in dudhwa is a real treat n the bird Bengal florican is a cherry on a top. December to march is the better season to visit.

Elephant safari is a must try in Dudhwa national park. It is really enjoyable. Was able to see a rhino during elephant ride. We visited twice to this park but couldn't get trace of tiger, but only found its footprints. Deers and birds can be found regularly.

We visited the park in Mar 19 and did the safaris covering the kishanpur range area. This area is supposed to have maximum sightings. The Sharda river forms one side of the area. We were able to sight a number of birds including peacocks, varieties of deers as well as wild boars, however the tigers eluded us though we were able to see fresh pug marks as well as track a few calls. We used the gypsy provided by the resort and were charged Rs 3000/- per trip for four people. You may get this cheaper if you were to book directly with the park. On the whole a refreshing break. It is definitely a birders paradise and if one is lucky one can even get to sight a tiger. During this time of the month the rhinoceros camp was closed due to non availability of elephants. It is prudent to check on the availability of the elephant ride before planning as this adds further to the sightings that one can have.
