The standard and service of the Dive Centre was excellent. Very good dive guides speaking English and French. Dive sites are largely restricted to one - Tipatua pass. Dolphins on every dive, plus grey reef sharks. Saw one large silver tip and others saw a great hammerhead.

Spectacular. You will not be disappointed. So well run, the instructors are amazing. Can't say enough good things. Super happy to have dived with the crew (and the dolphins).

Nous avons plongé en palanquée de 5 personnes avec Pauline aujourd'hui, une plongée qui démarre dans l'ocean et nous emmène au travers de la passe pour revenir dans le lagon, en plus du cadre exceptionnel et de la richesse de l'océan, toute l'équipe est sympathique et l'infrastructure est qualitative (petit snack sur place disponible, le club vient vous chercher à l'hôtel, douche disponible...)
En bref, un super club dans un cadre magnifique !
PS: Pensez a réserver en amont, nous avions une plongée de programmée depuis longtemps et nous sommes motivés à renouveler l'expérience mais ils n'avaient plus de créneau

Le club de plongée est un véritable bijou pour les amateurs de découvertes sous-marines. L’équipe est non seulement professionnelle, mais aussi passionnée, toujours prête à partager son savoir dans une ambiance conviviale et sécurisée. Les équipements sont de qualité et bien entretenus, garantissant une expérience en toute tranquillité. Les sorties organisées dans la passe de Tiputa permettent de découvrir des sites différents en fonction des courants et sont époustouflants. Ce club est l'endroit idéal pour vivre des moments inoubliables tout en explorant la beauté fascinante des fonds marins.

Nous avons découvert le club pour le biais de l hôtel kia Oran. Accueil de Virginie très sympathique et agréable. Elle fut de très bons conseils.
J ai fait un baptême avec Jean au site de l aquarium, merveilleux moment avec des multitude de poissons.
Jean a su me mettre en confiance et J ai beaucoup apprécié sa douceur, son calme et sa pédagogie.
A l issue de cette matinée, j ai renouvelé l expérience l après midi avec un baptême + toujours avec jean. Nous sommes allés à l extérieur du lagon le long de la barrière de corail. J ai pu observer dauphins, requins, Napoléon et bien d autres poissons. J ai plongé 55 minutes à 12 mètres.
Merci jean pour ton accompagnement et ta gentillesse.
Je crois que maintenant je vais apprécier la plongée.
Je conseille vivement ce club.

I had 8 dives in Rangiroa in early September, and did six of them with 6 Passengers. They were by far the best dives I’ve ever held, and treated to at least 2 dives that were once in a hundred.
Organization
6 Passengers is a rather large dive shop, that’s not surprising given their popularity amongst visitors (check every thread on the topic). Their facilities allow 30 divers or so every diving time slot but no more than 5-6 every diver group (dive master). However, their organization strategy is extremely admirable. Every employee knows your name upon arrival and will help point to the right Dive Master and so that facilities and experience never feels overwhelming. It’s simple but they get everything run on time and everything feels every personal
Skill assessment
I’m a relatively new diver and, on the first few dives, I could tell I was moved to groups with others of the same level. After a few dives after getting more comfortable with the strong currents, I believe it was quickly noticed and I was moved to a more experienced group. In all cases, safety was prioritized and dive masters were very open to giving feedback.
Biodiversity
This is one area where Rangiroa greatly exceeded my expectations. You can never go into a trip with too big of a wish list, but this is the one week where no expectations would’ve been too high.
On my second dive with 6 Passengers (2 min into the dive, at about 50ft of depth) we saw a humpback whale swim past us from a distance of about 30ft or less. Later in the week, we saw a male great hammerhead chasing a female (peak Hammerhead season doesn’t start for at least another 2 or 3 months). On at least 6 or 7 of the eight dives, we saw bottlenose dolphins and nearly half of those resulted in the dolphins approaching for a “personal experience”. During all incoming current dives (afternoon during September), the “wall of sharks” (100+ grey reef) are visible but the depth they hang out varies. During one of the dives, the wall was at over 35-45m deep. One of the the dives, the wall was at eye level; dives range from 20- 24m and the experience is comparable to what I’ve head from South Pass dives at Fakarava.
On one dive with 6 Passengers, we had about 20minutes of personal time with a bottlenose, witnessed a pod of bottlenose scatter the wall of sharks, and saw a hammerhead and a manta ray while swimming through Tiputa Pass. There’s always an element of luck in observations like this, a group descending one minute after a different group from the same spot can see completely different things, but 6 Passengers pulled it off.
Atmosphere
I’m used to people being a bit tired and lethargic on boat rides after dives, but after several dives (the whale and the last dive I described above), the atmosphere on the boat ride seemed like we had won a game of water polo. Figuratively people were popping champagne on the boat. And Jean-Louis the manager has the best job in the world seeing so many happy thrilled people come back to the dive center. It was very easy to meet people as a solo diver.
If you dive with them both morning and afternoon, you can order lunch on their outdoor patio, which is a huge time saver. There’s plenty of shade and room to hang out. Lunch if you have morning + afternoon dive. I saw a couple using the club’s nanny service, which I thought was fascinating. I’d call to confirm this is actually the case.

Thank you for these 8 dream dives in Rangiroa with 6 passengers, the planning, the reception, the support for different pensions, the briefings of each dive, the respect for safety, all the sharing of knowledge on the seabed and the different species were perfect!

Diving with 6 passengers was one of my best experiences. They were exceptionally welcoming and went above and beyond to meet my needs. The facility is fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the lunch provided between dives was excellent. I highly recommend this experience and am grateful for the unforgettable experience they delivered. Thank you for making it so memorable!

Superlative dives in the Tiputa pass!
The diving is well organized, a very pleasant environment, everyone is kind and always smiling and helpful: from the secretary, to the staff, to the guides.
Diving is done by dinghies in small groups; even when there has been a lot of wind and sea the guides have always been able to find safe exit places for the ascent on the dinghies.
Guides prepared and always attentive to safety, we had several, all very professional who accompanied us to see the wonders of Tiputa Pass.
In addition to diving you can have lunch at the diving by booking: the food is excellent.
Highly recommended!

I dived twice with Jimmy who is really great; he is listening and very reassuring!
The rest of the team is also very professional.
The club is really well appointed, there is a relaxation area with hammocks, a snack or besides we eat well... in short positive, go there with your eyes closed.

Could someone kindly answer the following question.
We are going to be on Oceania Regatta cruise ship. On April 12 we are in Rangiroa.
Does any one know how to get from the cruise ship dock to The Six Passengers and if we could spend a few hours at the beach there.
Is it public? Are we allow to enter?
Do they charge for it?
Can we buy a drink there or something?

It appears you mostly dive with zodiac. I have a bad shoulder and concerned about entry into boat. Do your boats have ladders to assist with getting back into the boat?

I stayed at Le Coconut Lodge when I was diving with The 6 passengers. The lodge is nice with very friendly hosts. The lodge is just few mins walk away from the dive center via beach.

We are arriving on the Marina on January 22nd at 8:00 am and we depart at 5:00 pm. We would like to snorkel and or drift snorkel. Please advise as to availability and cost.
