Clean, safe and calm surroundings. Less footfall hence worth visiting. No activities available here but can enjoy playing in safe waters.

Kelshi is a tranquil, non commercialized, picturesque coastal village in Dapoli Tehsil, Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra; easily accessible from Mumbai, Pune etc. Natives are very hospitable and friendly. Plenty of homestays and hotels offer a reasonably priced stay and delicious local veg & nonveg "konkani" meals rich in grated coconut! The shallow and safe beach has transparent and clean water. It has about 3 kms long, serene beach; offering view of Green hills, vegetation and variety of birds. The village has famous Mahalakshmi temple, Ram and Ganesh temples; Yaqub baba ( belived to be the 9th Guru of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj) Dargah.

The beach is very serene and beautiful. Good for morning and evening walks. The local people of Kelshi also come for walks.

It was like very deep Konkan Vibes, yes it is a secret place, rooms are good and clean, owner is a great guy with no restrictions. Good to go with friends and family too. Walkable distance to the beach 🏖️. Now coming to the beach, it's clean,untouched, very very rare people or hardly any.
Food was good Maharashtrian Desi food.
Overall good place to go for a much needed break.!

Kelshi beach is situated to the south of Mandangad towards coastal area, at a distance of approx 35 kms.A 3 km eye appealing stretch of a sandy beach gives the visitor a wonderful feeling, with the huge forest all along, containing tall Casuarina trees, and a dense cover of coconut tree tops. Distance for Pune as well as Mumbai, both is approx 200 kms. Beach is good for serenity lover and not for family, who are seeking activities. Though beach as clean, sitting area, near to forest, was not clean. We had visited this beach as a part of our extensive Konkan visited in the coastal area. Beach is good for serenity lover and not for family, who are seeking activities.

Travel : Traveled in Jan 2020 from Pune to kelshi covering a distance of approximate 195 kms.
Stay : Stayed at Bharja Inn for 2 days , best home stay place for accomodation in Kelshi owned by Mr.Amit Kothari ( 9767472233).
Beach : One of the cleanest beach we have visited till date.One of the best places to visit with family and kids, it clean , neat and less crowded beach.It also has a small play area at the entrance of beach for kids to play.
Experience : Amit Kothari was extremely help full in exploring small village and beach areas. He also informed us about the turtle feast happening across konkan beaches. One day early morning we are informed by Amit about the rarest events happening at the beach , that was just born baby Olive Ridley Sea Turtle . Baby Turtles were being released in Arabian sea by the forest officials which we could witness in personal, our kids were so exited to see little turtles and enjoyed a lot.
Evening Hour : During evening hour we visit a sunset point nearby which was one of the most amazing views ever seen for a Sunset from top of hill. One could see the huge sea and sun was merging with sea like red ball. Late night Amit also arranged camp fire at the beach during night hour it was fearless experience for us with kids.
Food : Veg food lovers will get the best food here at nearby local hotels.Best part is Jain food also available.

Visited Kelshi in the month of January 2020.... Stayed at Bharja Inn best homestay place to stay in Kelshi Owned by Mr.Amit Kothari ( 9767472233), extremly down to earth person with total knowledge of places in and around Kelshi. He ensures his guest enjoy's to the fullest.
One of the cleanest beach we have visited.
Veg food here is the best.
We were lucky to witness one of the rarest events at the beach..i.e 38 Olive Rivlet Turtles released in the Ocean...Again thanks to Amit who informed us early morning so that we could witness this rare event closely.
All in all be there if you want to spend time in laps of mother nature.

Kelshi beach is a serenely beautiful spanning across a distance of 3Km. It is relatively unexplored & by far one of the most cleanest beaches in Maharashtra. You'll simply adore the tranquility this place offers.
Stayed at Bharja Inn which is hardly a 5 min walk from the beach, Mr Amit (9767472233) is a very helpful host.

Had been to Kelshi for our annual department trip and it was awesome. These two guys Mr. Amit Kothari 9767472233 and Mr. Mahendra Rewale 7447505495 helped us a lot, right from booking breakfast lunch and every thing. Team enjoyed the camp fire at beach there stay and sunset, they utilised every minute of it.
The beach is very very safe and clean with natural surroundings, covered with hills from three sides.
