The caves are near Bhaje village. The nearest railway station is Malavli. There are 22 rock-cut Buddhist Caves. There are around 230 steps uphill to the caves.

Buddhist culture caves, nice place for a half day weekend visit from Pune. If you have already seen Ajanta, there is nothing much special about this place. If Ajanta is the movie, this is just a trailer :)

Not a hot day activity. Beautiful caves, very ancient. They are very peaceful and stepping in them is like stepping back in time.

These caves are far less busy than the Karla caves and far better in my opinion! If you can manage to get the site manager to show you around he has a wealth of knowledge about its history. There are many steps to the top and you must take shoes off for the main cave. Foreigners have to pay 300 rupee. Be sure to look around both sides as there are some hidden gems to explore! Lohagad fort is nearby.

These caves are located near Lonavala on Mumbai Pune Highway, The place is very good for students and children, they will get a good knowledge of history and ancient architecture.

Bhaja caves are now damaged and need to restore. The place can't be lost its importance, So I want the government to take precautionary measures to restore the caves

This cave sightseeing can be combined with lohgad fort, these are very old caves.

One must plan a half day visit for this place, If you are traveling from Pune, go via local train and get down at malavli local station, from here take auto or trek.

Pack your food and eat either at lohgad fort top or near bajva caves, please ensure you don't litter there.
