This is a nice, clean and beautiful beach located in South Goa. You can go for long walks along the open beach as the sand is very clean. There are a few shacks and facilities for water sports. Parking is available

Excellent beach, wide open with soft sand and less crowded. Can go for a long walk along the beach and enjoy the walk

This strech of beach is along the coast of south Goa it lies between Utorda and Gonsua beaches. We did walk that route a number of time during our two recent stays in December and February.
The beach is accessible by car or on foot down Majorda Beach Road, there is parking available by Leo's Corner at the entrance to the beach.
Back in December the football World Cup Final was shown on a large screen here, a party atmosphere. There was some large size cut out images of famous footballers by the beach entrance advertising the event.
A concrete bridge with steps, over the small river, leads visitors to a very rustic wobbly wooden bridges which becomes necessary when water levels are high. From that point long strips of matting to the Beach Shack of their choice, rather than walking on hot sand.
This season there were three large beach shacks here, The Beach House (Alex Place), The Cameron and Mish Mar. Each of them had a large number of sunbeds, umbrellas and pergolas for their customers use. They all contribute to making this section of the beach rather busy, crowded and noisy. In addition Meban waters sports are located here and provide parachute rides, jet skis and other inflatable rides.
For a quieter life, there's a smaller permanent shack, Aquarian, set way back at the back of the beach. There were only a handful of sunbeds and umbrellas here.
A handful of beach sellers do walk along the beach and in between the sunbeds, trying to sell their goods, mainly jewellery and clothing. It is part of the experience of the beach.
There is a virtually deserted strech of beach from Majorda up to Utorda and down to Gonsua if you fancy spreading out beach mats and towels on the white sand.

It’s a beautiful clean beach in South Goa.
There are few good shacks and also water sports options here. Not much crowded beach. Road to the beach is lush with greenery. Very limited Parking area so it can be a bit of problem sometimes.

Nice beach for swimming....very mild waves.Only problem is finding plastic and other bits of trash on the beach and in the water...tragic, but seems to be everywhere in India, unfortunately....

Excellent beach with soft sand and a low slope. Less crowded. Can go for a long walk along the beach and enjoy with partner/family/kids

We had a great time at Majorca beach, it was our first time in goa during monsoon and it turned out be a great experience with family, beach is quite and peaceful no vendors to bother like other beaches in goa, strongly recommended if you are in south goa

Пляж Маджорда оставил хорошие воспоминания.Песок почти что в Доминикана,белый,но очень горячий.Напрягали лежаки,самоделки из дерева,дервиши с предложениями почистить уши,и индуски пытающиеся что либо продать из сувениров или текстиля.Жаль что вода не прозрачная,с маской не поплаваешь,волны гораздо меньше чем на пляже Калангуте,купаться гораздо комфортнее.Большое количество шейков,всегда холодные напитки и разнообразные свеже выжатые соки.Выход на пляж из отеля Маджорда живописен идёшь по проходу из экзотических растений.Здесь же в тени сидят играют в карты зазывалы из разных конкурирующих шейков.Заход в воду пологий,дно песок,глубина начинается примерно уже с 15 метров,течение как бы относит от берега не всегда но бывают моменты,надо быть осторожным.Утром можно посмотреть как разбирают улов рыбаки на своих деревянных суденышках,для этого надо выйти из отеля Маджорда в право и пройти метров 700.Твердые четыре балла пляжу из пяти!!!!

The best and the cleanest beach in Goa. The waves are less turbulent here and the beaches spic and span. The shacks are less and also quite clean. If you are in Goa for the love of beaches and the tranquility that it offers, this is the beach to be in.

Beautiful and quiet beach and most importantly very clean! The shacks were nice with friendly hosts. A good beach to spend time if you are in the area. We stayed at Alila Diwa which was just 500 meters away and the hotel provided regular shuttle buggies to go to the beach and come back.

Hi Salil. I am travelling to Goa and would reach at night around 6 pm and my fiance would reach around PM. I plan to arrange a self driven vehicle by then and stay at a close hotel to airport with some beach to relax till 12 or 1. Can you recommend me some safe beach for that time?

July is during the monsoon season, the the sea tends to be rough and rather unsafe. There are no Beach Shacks or water sports, there is nothing on the beach. The tourist season begins in October and ends April/May.
Not sure where you are staying, but there are some late night bars in Colva, there is also the Gastro Bar in Majorda.

Hi there,
Alex Place Beach Shack is not open in August. There are no shacks on the Beach. The season runs from early October to early May. Everything shuts down during the monsoon season. Hope this helps

Never been aware of being bitten by sand flies in my 22 visits to GOa the last 6yrs in Majorda, watch out for the red ants if they get on you and bite you will know, but if you are idiot enough to stand in a line of them whilst chatting (me) you can expect to get bitten eh?

im thinking of spending 11 nights in majorda arriving boxing day, is there enough for 11 nights and is it nice, we are a nice quiet meal and a couple of drinks kind of people

Hi , There is plenty to do drinks and restaurants wise , Majorda supports approx. 4 major hotels , plus all the small boutique type. This year currently there are 5 beach shacks in Majorda , and Betal Batim , and Utoorda either side adding another 8 shacks , all serving food and drinks throughout the day and night , transport to majorda beach is easy and it has big car park 20 m from the sand. If you need more info we are staying all year.
