I'm very interested in Tea and this was for me very good trip. I had only short time so this was only choice for one day, but I can recommend this trip.

Martin our amazing host gave us an amazing tour of Teapot Mountain. He was the best guide who spoke English fluently and was doing it all! He drove, photographed us, took us through Jiufen and showed us how to hike the hardest part of Teapot Mountain trail. Would recommend for anyone who wants a good hike and amazing company! Also, we were the only ones that were with the guide and so it was a very private experience.

Lovely visit with lots to see and varied souvenirs to buy. A good mix of casual stores that are well presented and well priced. Loved the opportunity to sample local delicacies amid a flurry of international tourists. Roads are narrow with some good photo opportunities.
Ablutions seem to be sparse and huge crowds developed after 18:00 at night.
We bussed in and out saving a fortune and enjoying WiFi all at the same time! A worthwhile visit - easy to navigate around and rather exciting.
Have the beef noodle soup - delicious.

We didn‘t really know what to expect at first but it turned into an incredible fun day! The tour guide Eva was super fun and friendly and took pictures the whole day for us, showed us around and told us interesting facts about different locations.
We made dolls out of socks, took pictures on different locations with them, saw how noodles are made, tasted those noodles, helped planting tea trees and had a fantastic tea testing.
Many thanks to Eva and Vicky who made this day unforgettable! :)

Our guide Eva was super dynamic and friendly. I met new friends from different countries super nice and kind. The road trip was interesting and the views were incredible. Came back home exausted but so happy with my journey. Everything was perfect. I strongly recommand it for people who love sports, nature and meeting new people.

Driver came to pick us up without knowing the programmes we paid for.
This includes tea plantation visit , meeting tea master , noodle making and special tea noodle lunch. Supposed to have village walk , but driver said no car park space around to stop car.
We had to contact tripadvisor coordinator to sort it out .
Lunch was miserable , expected 4 of us to share a small plate of noodle. We said that the lunch were for 4 of us and not one, then only the driver ordered more noodles and chicken soup for us.
Trying to cut and stinge on the cost. Cost us USD $440 for 4 .
On the whole,
meeting tea master and drinking tea was interesting and educational.
Noodle making was interesting as well.
Supposed to be 8 hours tour , but we finished in 7 hrs, 1 hr ahead of time and driver happy as he earn an extra hour free.
Note driver drives too fast not to our liking and safety. And he drives with one hand with the other hand gesturing away as he talked. Told him to keep quiet over the curve and bends in the mountain roads.
Need to watch out for him as he drove.

Next time, I will provide you one daily tour for free when you come Taiwan again. Please let me know your coming.

This is a short hike in a wonderful remote nature. But be aware there are many steep and slippery stairs, so it's not too easy. The tour guides were friendly and helpful. The group was diverse and really interesting. Nature was stunning. Really nice trip.

The tour started by gathering in time & heading toward the Erge mountain hike trail. Tour guides were so helpful, patient responding to our questions, introducing & explaining the area. They were as passionate as other participant hikers. The nature was so refreshing to take you into a peaceful mind. All participants gathered afterward sharing a delicious Taiwanese hot pot food prepared by guides and that was with consideration to vegetarians as well ( thanks for them, we really appreciate the tasty lunch). We all enjoyed the friendly chat in between before heading back by the end of the tour.
