Had a lovely afternoon with my family as we had adopted an alpaca for my daughter's birthday. Lovely and relaxing, and so nice to really feel we've learnt a lot more about an animal. Very relaxing animals and their wool definitely feels lovely. We will head back again from North London!

Absolutely brilliant afternoon. It was lovely that I got to meet, and trek with, my adopted alpaca, the very friendly and handsome Lord Lockington as well as meeting and greeting lots of other friendly alpacas. It is obvious the alpacas are very well loved and cared for and the walking and interactions are all on their terms and done in a nice calm and relaxed way. Great shop and café on site too. I would thoroughly recommend the experience to any animal lovers. Thank you so much to our excellent guide Georgie and all the team for such a warm welcome and brilliant experience.

What a great afternoon we had. Hubby and myself brought our two grandchildren here. The children fell in love with the Alpacas and we found out so much information about these beautiful animals, great value and very friendly. You really need to have comfy shoes as although not too long a walk the ground is uneven in places. Great to have the opportunity to feed the Alpacas some carrots. We had a lovely time looking around the shop and the refreshments in the small cafe were wonderful. Great that they had gluten free brownies and oat milk. Made for a memorable trip out.

I was lucky enough to get trek tickets for two as a Christmas present and was able to add an additional person. I invited my Mum and sister along as they’re animal lovers like me. What an experience!!! We all absolutely loved the alpaca’s, the guides where knowledgeable and friendly and the wind didn’t even detract in any way. My favourite part was entering the female pen and having the alpacas run over to us for a carroty treat. I would absolutely recommend this experience and in fact I am telling everyone about it and am planning a second visit! The entire experience was a massive endorphin boost 🤍Thank you so much Alpaca Annie and Hershey (my trek mate) we shall see you again!

I took my sister as a surprise birthday present. We both thoroughly enjoyed our morning 'trek' with the lovely alpacas and warming up afterwards with a hot drink and a slice of cake. Ali proved a knowledgeable leader of the pack, and all the staff added to the memorable experience. Would recommend.

We were gifted this as a Christmas present but due to Covid had to wait for our visit. I love Alpacas and was excited for the trek and was not disappointed. The lovely and very knowledgeable Ally was our trek leader, it was obvious how much she loves her job and the alpacas.
My Alpaca was Golly Golly Gosh and my husband had Tipsy Tony- love the names !
After a chat about the alpacas and a few rules and tips about the walk we were off, very slowly due to the need for frequent grass eating stops. There were lots of chances to take photos and ask questions. Then a carrot stop and a stroll back.
This was a real stress busting experience, loved every minute, can't wait to go again.
Finished up with coffee and delicious cake and a trip to the shop for lovely soft alpaca socks and gloves and some knitting yarn to make a scarf.
Thankyou Alpaca Annie, see you again very soon.
Highly recommended.

Such a wonderful place. I took my mum 2 years ago to do the walking with the beautiful alpacas and it was the best day of her life... she tells everyone! Mum is not really up to the walking any more but still wanted to see her favourite animals so we did a meet & greet today with the wonderful Sam who was so kind & so knowledgeable, a private tour as it was just the 3 of us... felt very special!
Before our meet & greet, we had the most delicious cream tea at the Fennel Cafe. This place is set in beautiful countryside, full of beautiful people & then the beautiful alpacas.... you can tell my mum & I are HUGE fans, cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Thank you for another amazing time & memory ❤

Had a brilliant time at Alpaca Annie’s. Our trek was done by Ali who was lovely and very informative. I would thoroughly recommend this activity along with visiting the Fennel cafe on site as the cakes were homemade and were amazing.

The morning was wonderful. The lady that lead our group was very informative. We walked ten minutes to a field where the alpacas were waiting and some were harnessed up. We got a health and safety talk and also a long talk about where they come from and how they like to be handled. We all got given a bag of chopped carrots. This were for a designated time en route when we could stop and feed them. We were told we were allowed to stroke them in a certain place only as they can be skittish. They have to be walked in a certain order. Whilst going round the hour and a half walk they stopped by themselves for a toilet break. As one always does what the others are doing, my one started to poop, so all the other three alpacas also stared at their friends and pooped in the field too. It was funny to watch all 4 alpacas poop together. The lady in charge says they are all copycats. If the front one stops to eat grass, then they all do. We were told they are part of the camel family. We had a lovely walk and then fed them carrots. They take them from a flat hand and it doesn't hurt. They are very gentle creatures but can get spooked easily. Some of the walk was parallel to the miniture railway and they are used to the noise of the trains so they were fine. Lots of opportunities to take photos. Children are allowed if they are sensible, however you can't take a pushchair because the ground is part gravel and the rest is very uneven grass and they don't allow it. You have got o be fit and ableenough to walk for an hour and a half, however, it is a gentle walk and you go at the animals own pace. The alpacas often graze in grass and stop of their own accord. After the carrot feeding we head back but only after the leader of the pack turns around and goes to the front as we were told they must stay in order or they will not walk 😂. Apparently they can sometimes get the hump and spit wet grass at you, but this never happened on our trek. Once we get back there is more photo opportunities. Then we go to another field to look at the females. All the alpacas that you walk are males. The next field along we are allowed to go into. All the females then crowd round you for your remainder 🥕 carrots. Then we get told a bit more about their mating and the babies being born etc. You finish the experience withi two hours. We then walked back and had an afternoon tea booked in site. Please see my seperate review for The Fennel Cafe. Well worth a visit as the quality of the afternoon tea is probably as good as a top London hotel , and I have been to many (all their cakes are made on site). Made a lovely birthday treat, it also has a lovely shop with all things alpacas in that you wouldn't be able to get elsewhere like socks made from their wool etc. We found it thoroughly delightful and will most definitely return for another walk and another beautiful afternoon tea. It is certainly something different and they also do vouchers for birthday treats.
