Had a great trek, which we'd bought as a family birthday present for my wife.
Sheena took us around, and she was great, very chatty and very knowledgeable. Lara welcomed us in the shop (well worth a visit afterwards as they've got some great bits in there!) and was very friendly too. Our chosen alpacas were wonderful: my wife had Tipsy Tony, my son Golly Golly Gosh, my daughter Storm and I had His Lordship himself, Lord Lockington.
Despite the classic British weather doing its best to ruin the experience, we had a great time walking and feeding our alpacas by hand, as well as some of the others who came over after the walk to grab some of the carrots on offer.
Absolutely worth the booking, but I would say warm waterproof clothes and wellies or boots are required. Highly recommended as a really memorable, fun family activity.

I appreciate it was the end of the day but the member of staff (on this occasion) was one of the most uninformative, unenthusiastic people I have met. She literally stood there whilst we fed the alpacas. Not as advertised ... 'A knowledgeable talk from our resident expert....' If we hadn't of asked questions I dont think she would of said anything. The experience lasted 20 minutes and we literally fed the alpacas and then were led away. This was not as expected

We visited Alpaca Annie in the Morning of August 1st, it was an amazing experience really worth the money. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a trek around the fields with an alpaca. It’s only 5 minutes from New Beach Holiday Park which is where we were staying. Looking forward to doing this again soon.

Amazing morning - really worth the money - staff so knowledgeable about all the alpacas - we have a lovely trek and would definately do again if we were in the area for a holiday again. Cute little gift shop.

Lovely clean, tidy place, with parking right outside the shop. However I didn't feel it was massively child friendly. Kindly as we were running 6 minutes late due to travelling delays they waited for us to join even though it says they wont wait for you (which is fair because of the other customers), but the group was of adults of a particular age which was initially a bit odd for a family to be joining. It started raining and was very windy, which again is fine, but the guide wasn't really suited to child friendly sessions, after the talk about the alpacas, which could of been tailored to children too but wasn't, she proceeded to get an alpaca out & tell the group he was the tamest and the most docile, then gave him to a lady rather than a family with a child, or rather than offering a family with an already bored and wind blown baby creating one first, on the basis children aren't great at listening to talks and waiting a while (again not massively family friendly) but not the end of the world. My partner and baby decided to walk off as the lady was still talking and baby just needed to go or do something, understandable if you have children, which no one in the group did, again a bit odd. My toddler then needed a wee! (Nightmare!) but again these things happen with kids & a child friendly group would of understood, instead i get ‘by the time you come back we may be gone though’ so i was just like oh right ok no worries by this point. It was clear it wasn't a toddler or baby event. The wind and rain was getting heavier, and the lady had already said ‘it will continue but if the rain gets heavier the alpacas may bolt’, which considering i was walking along with my toddler and an alpaca, i figured wasn't the safest scenario to be in. She then amazingly without any mention of finances, went onto say ‘ok but you wont get a refund’, if your that hard up you need your £40 I'm not to argue with you, as my Childs safety is worth more. By then i didn't want to stay to do the ‘meet & greet’ alpacas as it was so uncomfortable & something she could of let the kids do whilst she was doing a talk to keep them with us.
The alpacas look very well kept & the place too and would of been great without the kids as not family friendly but that wasn't really what we were looking for.

Amazing birthday experience. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. The alpacas were very friendly and approachable. The staff at Alpaca Annie put her to ease and were very warm and patient. The entire experience was very memorable and she got to enter and feed the female Alpacas for up to 40 mins. Accessible parking, good/clean facilities and well maintained. A very pleasant afternoon and highly recommended.

Me & my sister went trekking with the awesome alpacas recently- it was brilliant. Lara, the head herd person, was so knowledgeable & Amy was a delight. We had the opportunity to get up close to the beautiful alpaca’s & hand feed them. There is a lovely little shop on site & Ali made us hot drinks. We will definitely be visiting again & I would highly recommend to all animal lovers :)

In the Summer I went with friends to do Alpaca yoga here and today returned for an Alpaca trek and afternoon tea for my birthday. I absolutely love it here, everyone is so welcoming and lovely and the animals are really well looked after.

This is a great experience and the staff are informative and place animal welfare at the front of everything! It was a great experience and the Fennel cafe is a great way to finish the trip! 10 out of 10!

Great little coffee shop/tea-room. Sam was very accommodating with my last-minute booking and produced the best kids' lunch boxes that I have seen. My sandwich was delicious too!
We enjoyed our meal on the comfy seats outside and will certainly return. Maybe for brunch, as it is amazing .

Does anyone know if it's possible to visit with a toddler? She'll be 19 months old when we plan to go. We have a red letter voucher for a family day out, so I think it's just for a meet and greet, not a trek. Thanks.

Yes this should be fine. Always best to contact them first - they are very accessible and reply promptly and are generally very accommodating

Hello. It really was a trek over the fields so my first thought would be ‘depends on the type of wheelchair’ but probably no. That said - they were really lovely and so I think it’s worth calling them to discuss your needs.
Can you just turn up and see some alpacas? :)

Yes you will be able to see them they are in a field, near the shop, but you won’t be able to feed them .
I would pop into the shop first just so they know you ate there.
Or just give them a ring as they maybe out walking.
If you go on the Dymchurch little train it goes passed them as well.

Hi Carol,
It just so happened that I visited today. They are open New Years Eve. Only one trek at 12 noon, depending on the weather. They suggested you book early. (Go on 'Groupon' and get a half price voucher).
