I just came back from Jamaica and diving for 5 days with wonderful and friendly “Jamaica Scuba Divers” in Runaway Bay, very good experiences and I highly recommend the company.
It is with great pleasure that I write a very positive review for the diving instructors Headlan "Fruity"Feurtado and Rory Brown.
Easily the friendliest diving centre I've ever been diving with in Caribbean (I have done quite a few!) I cannot recommend “Jamaica Scuba Divers” in Jamaica enough.

We found this dive shop from the good reviews and another couples recommendation. You should definitely dive here. We had dive master Rory and it was great! It was just my husband and I diving so the dives were tailored to us! We highly recommend going here if you dive in Jamaica!

YOU MUST DIVE WITH THESE GUYS!!! With the expert help of Fruity my 10yr old son had a life changing experience diving in Jamaica. His first dive after a pool session was incredible and will forever be etched in his memories. Our instructors Fruity and Rory were incredible and couldn’t have done more to make our dives amazing. Their knowledge, teaching manner and eagle eyes under water made for a great time. The dives we did were incredible, such fun and relaxed in off course beautiful Jamaica. If I ever get the chance to go again I will be going to see them for another dive!

While in Jamaica 🇯🇲 on vacation I had the opportunity to see a good friend of mine, Dylin Smith aka “Flipper” . We had plans to go diving and I left it to him for the location. He took me to Jamaica Scuba Divers,LTD and introduced me to Frutiy & Marcia who operate the dive site. They are both very knowledgeable and have a great personality. We dove 4 dives on 2 separate days. It was Awesome! I am very Thankful that Flipper took me there for our diving! I highly recommend them for your next dive trip in Jamaica. If you get the opportunity to dive with Flipper you will be in for a great experience!

Marcia, Fruity and Rory saved our dive trip! After a terrible experience with a different company, we thought that our diving was over for the rest of the trip. We stumbled upon these guys by asking workers around the resort for leads and ended up having a fantastic time! Friendly, professional, experienced, helpful....everything a good dive company should be. My wife and I have dove all over the Caribbean and our dives with Jamaica Scuba Divers Ltd were the most fun and relaxing ever. I will definitely be recommending these guys and if we go back to Jamaica we will dive with them again.

The reef itself wasn't bad. Nice king lobster, puffer fish, surgeonfish. Average I would say for a Caribbean site, haven been to a few.
What was disappointing was the experience itself. Captain and dive master were not friendly. Everything was rushed from the gearing up to the break between dives, it was as if they didn't want me their as their only diver for the day. The boat arrived at noon, 2 hours late at the resort for what should have been the morning 10:00am dive.
They didn't bring any fins, mask or snorkel despite me letting them know I needed gear. Luckily, I was able to run back to the snorkeling shop on the resort and they were gracious enough to lend me them at no charge.
The second dive was 30min at 6-8m, insulting for an experienced diver. I'm almost embarrassed to put this on my dive log. For 140USD cash, I expected better.

We believe you may have us confused with another dive center and have left us a review that does not belong to us. We are Jamaica Scuba Divers AKA Scuba Jamaica with Marcia and Fruity. We had a group with mixed abilities ranging from a more experienced diver to a have-dived-but-not-recently diver, to complete newbies. Marcia and Fruity are excellent instructors, explaining the why’s and the how’s and making the dives careful, safe and great fun. David made the getting to and fro and in and out of the water easy steps. We had amazing experiences between starter reef dives and plane/ boat wreck dives...everyone had a blast. As one new diver said...”oh God, now I have another hobby”! Christian rolled with our last minute booking changes, Marcia and Fruity’s instruction and guiding, warm water, turquoise seas and close-in dive sites made this unforgettable. Thank you JSD.

My son has just completed his Open Water Diver certificate with Jamaica Scuba Divers. They were fantastic. Chris really helped before and during his stay in Jamaica and Fruiti was a great dive master teaching him thoroughly and carefully. A fantastic experience, diving in the warm clear waters of the Carribean and enormous fun. I would really recommend this place to anyone who wants to dive.

No words to describe this amazing experience! On our honeymoon, my husband and I decided to scratch scuba certification off our bucket list while in Jamaica...and so glad we did! Fruiti was the absolute best....patient, kind, funny, understanding and just a blast to learn from! My husband told me today that he “was missing Fruiti already” and we haven’t even left Jamaica! Kevar was an awesome captain...helpful the entire time. We will absolutely dive with these guys again!! Can’t wait to come back!

Small outfit they catered to our needs very accommodating. My husband had difficulty handling his equipment. They put it on the boat for him. Assisted him on the five. They picked us up at our hotel and returned

I’ve tried to contact them a few times but not had a response. Has anyone else done the online learning from the uk before travelling to Jamaica? I want to get booked before I travel, but it’s not clear from the website how it all works

Jamaica Scuba Divers is probably the best place to learn to dive. Fruity is an amazing instructor and will take great care of you. You don't need to bring anything, they have all of the gear you will need. You have two options - you can do a 'resort dive' which is basically getting in to a basic dive without having your certification. Or the better option if you have a couple of days is to get your open-water certification.
Fruity taught my 8-year old how to dive last year, highly recommend doing your first dive with Fruity.

I usually recommend completing the theory prior to visiting us so that you dont have to be reading while in jamaica. You can purchase a Open water Text book or visit the online link at our website.
Once here we require a minimum of 2 full days to complete your training.

I like to go diving on Jamaica and tried to get in contact with the company. I see that i have to pay $ 40 in advance but there is no way to put any personal details are so. Is this correct of is did a trap to get $ 40. I am coming from Holland and I never had this way to get attention from a company. I send 2 emails but get no reaction.

Can you please advise how far from the hotel grand Bahia Principe you are please and can snorkelling on the reef be done of the beach by the hotel?

We are located 2km away and yes snorkeling can be done in front of our location. However I am not sure about the Bahia snorkeling..

I am staying at grand Baha'i in Jamaica in March 2017. While I have been on one uncertified dive before, I would like to do same again. Can you confirm if this is offered at this resort (two people both not certified who wish to go down around 30 feet). Thanks.” Please indicate name of company and email address.
