We had an afternoon snorkel planned that was cut short. The boat was short handed and I ended up helping them hand out masks and gear to people on my side of the boat. Rainbow reef has suffered from being bleached (which this company cannot help) so they views were blah compared with snorkeling in other areas. When we arrived to the reef we were one of three boats there along with people staying on the island resort, it felt more like I was swimming at a pool party and not the ocean. They do have beverages on board and by that I mean they have their version of rum punch for sale and nothing else. (So pack accordingly) I get that this is only a 35 dollar excursion, but perhaps buy a case of water for your passengers I would have purchased it if available. My last thing, and perhaps it was because I was already having a bad trip, but the captain was smoking a cigar the entire way back to the ship and he was upwind from all the children. Hey it’s your boat, so do what you want, but you run a business so maybe don’t smoke with kids on board. (FYI, not a parent and don’t mind the smell of cigars, just think it is a bad look).

We were happy with this tour experience. The guides were friendly and courteous. It was very cool to see the cruise ship "parking lot" as we sailed away from the dock. Most of us took pictures of the 5 cruise ships lined up...very cool! The water was cold in January! Keep this in mind if you have little ones who may be more sensitive to the cold. As far as snorkeling goes, it was just ok. A lot of small fish, not many big ones. I was not too impressed....though we have snorkeled a lot and I suppose comparing this to snorkeling in Kauai is not fair.

Impresionante. He hecho snorkeling a lo largo de las islas del caribe y la costa caribe de Centroamérica, y nada se ha comparado con lo que vi en Bahamas. Muchas especies diferentes de peces, desde rayas y tiburones hasta peces de colores; incluso un par de peces comiéndose otros peces... el servicio excelente y lleno de humor. Definitivamente volveremos a Bahamas solo por el snorkeling.

Royal Caribbean - Allure of the Seas excursion for "Rainbow Reef Snorkel Tour - NS52"
This was a short port trip to Nassau for us, so we wanted a cheap and quick tour. We took a 45 minute boat ride to the Sea Gardens of Athol Island. The water was cold and choppy, but it was March and was to be expected. The crew provided snorkels, adjustable flippers and light life vests as well as regular life vests for those less experienced swimmers. My husband and I went with our 7 and 8 year old and we have our own snorkel gear. The water depth was about 40-50 feet, there were lots of fish. The crew was nice. Refreshments were available for a charge, but i always have peanut butter crackers ready for my boys. All in all, I got what I paid for, a nice boat ride to a reef for some unguided snorkeling. The captain also gave us a little info on the celebrities houses we passed by on the way back to the port.

Buen servicio , se preocupan y cuidan de que siempre estés seguro en cualquier paso que des , estás muy informado de absolutamente toda la actividad que realizadas . Me pareció confiable

This was a 2.5 hour tour you could do in the morning or afternoon for US$35. I was worth it. I did the afternoon tour and it was nice not having to get up early to meet for an all-day tour. I went for a walk around the port in the morning. Had lunch on the ship then did the tour in the afternoon.
Lovely speedboat ride to the reef. Flippers and snorkels provided. Good amount of time to snorkel and saw many different coloured and size of fish. Enjoyed the views of the boat from the top deck on the way back. A very reasonably priced tour.

I didn't like that the tour started so late. Our ship arrived at Bahamas at 9 am and we where picked up at the pier at 12 to take a boat out to the reef. We where around 50 people in the boat, all from different cruise ships, we got snorkeling gear, but the oxygen tube you breath through was so soft that water kept coming in to your mouth al the time, very annoying.
I don't think that the place where we where snorkeling was anything special, there where not a huge amount of fishes and the water was pretty chilly after a while.

We were excited to book a snorkel trip while on a cruise to Nassau and all the information on the website said this would be a great snorkel tour on the Blue Manta boat to a great snorkeling reef. I booked it for 9 adults and the confirmation said to meet the ship along the wharf. At the scheduled time we saw no Blue Manta, but asked an unmarked boat about it and they said it was them, but they were the Fiesta instead. We hopped on, then drove around the cruise ships to stop on the other side of the docks and load TONS of folks from one of the other cruise ships right where it would have been way easier for us to board if we had known.
But the most frustrating part was that it now became a boat filled with kayakers and paddleboarders, with a few snorkelers like us. Another stop on the way to the reef slowed us down as they got more snorkel gear.
Once at the reef, (Athol Island) all the snorkelers had to wait until all the paddleboards and kayaks launched into the water and we had to duck out of the way as they paddled over us on the way to another cove or reef. We definitely were the less important passengers. The reef was over-used, they fed the fish to attract them and it wasn't so special by reef standards.
It got even less fun when the Booze Cruise dropped anchor next to us and drifted over the same spot. So close that our anchor lines got tangled, and of course it totally changed the snorkel experience.
I would never recommend this tour - the confirmation came from the Best On Travel Network, which states "don't blame us" if you have complaints. The website touts "TOP QUALITY TOURS - #1 Tour and Activity Concierge in The Bahamas." Not by my standards.
I feel we got caught in a "bait and switch" from a snorkel tour to an overloaded multi-sport adventure simply because they got a bigger booking from the cruise ship's excursion.
But the most frustrating part was that it now became a boat filled with kayakers and paddleboarders, with a few snorkelers like us. Another stop on the way to the reef slowed us down as they got more snorkel gear.
