This was a fun stop to kill a few minutes. Probably the best-marked attraction on the island, finding it is easy. I wish there were some trash cans because there seemed to be quite a bit of garbage strewn about.
A wooden fence borders the area and there is a platform for anyone brave enough to jump off! The water was crystal clear below.

This is a hole in the ground. A beautiful hole in the ground filled with beautiful sapphire blue water. As pretty as it is to look at, it was most exciting to watch my daughter jump off the very well built wooden platform. She, at 15 and the most fit of any of us, was the only one with the confidence that she could climb the rope ladder to get back out of the hole.

Remarkable and beautiful. It was empty when we were there. It's fun to jump in, but you need to be able-bodied to get out on the rope.

Went with a bunch of high schoolers and the jump was scary for a person like me who is afraid of heights...but the water was cool and refreshing and various shades of blue made the swim hole gorgeous when the sunlight hit it just so...
The tough part was getting out! I am both old and overweight and I have zero upper body strength. I was told NOT to try the ladder but upon reflection, I think that might have been the way to go. Instead, I tried to hoist myself up with the rope to no avail, and then an older man popped out of nowhere like an angel from the heavens dressed in a nice clothing with a tie and he was able to (and I have no idea how he did it) hoist me up enough that my foot was able to find a foothold, and then I was fine (though he swooped down on the rope to get behind me, just in case).
I swear, I have no idea how I would have made it without Matthew, who turned out to be a taxi driver who had just dropped some clients off at the cenote.
So, definitely do this activity to make a nice Bahamas memory, but make sure you have people who can help you out in a pinch. :D
Plus, free is always nice.

Very cool place to visit. The jump in was exhilarating. Climb out was hard, and helped to have people holding the rope ladder. Water was great.

This blue hole has the most beautiful sapphire color. Our teens jumped in and swam. No one felt unsafe. The climb out was a little tough at first but then they figured it out and got up easier. This is worth the visit. It was a lot of fun.

My crew of 11 (ranging from 14-53) spent about 2 hours at here during one of our days in Eleuthera. We brought sandwiches and relaxed. We jumped several times. It was amazingly beautiful. Easy to find so I wouldn't pay for a tour guide. Its right off Queen's Hwy. I was worried about climbing out but my kids held the top and bottom of the ladder still for me. It wasn't bad - and I don't have much upper body strength. It's worth it. The water is cool and so beautiful. Like everywhere in Eleuthera, BRING BUG REPELLENT!

I went on a tour and this was one of the spots. The color is amazing. Photos do not do it justice. We were the only ones there. I wanted to jump, but I did not not. You have to climb up the side of the hole by a rope wall.

Stopped by on our first day there and we loved it! Not super crowded on a Friday in March around noon. The jump definitely got your heart racing but not crazy where it made me second guess it.
Based on the reviews, I didn't think the climb out would be too terrible... but I struggled a little. I had been rock climbing before so I got out the first time and felt good about jumping again a second time. Must have good upper body strength as you have to use a rope to climb your way out, the initial part is the hardest.

Jump is about 30 feet I'm guessing. Very fun and the rope climb up was doable if you are at all physically fit. Several in our group of 7 jumped a couple times. The water is amazingly smooth and silky on your skin.
