Be careful out there. We booked with this company for two days of tours with ruins and cenotes. We asked that they drop us off at a hotel we had booked. They day went great, until they dropped us off and left. It turned out that the hotel we booked was corrupt. They had been taken over violently just a few months before. We did not know this at the time. Somehow, our guide and Pepe didn’t seem to know this either, though they work in the Yucatán daily and or guide clearly knew people in every place we visited. The hotel tried to force us to pay twice, so we left. Oddly, both the defunct hotel and our guide with Maya Expeditions tried to steer us toward another hotel in particular. Something felt fishy. Luckily, our guide did return and take us to another hotel per or request.
Then, I tried to cancel our second day of tours with the company. Though I was canceling within 48 hours, they informed me that they could not cancel my reservation. They said they “weren’t sure” how much money they could refund me, or “how soon.” Something about PayPal being different in Mexico? I could not find any record of the cancellation policy for the company.
We hired this company because of their superior knowledge of the area, and in the hope that they would prioritize our safety. I find it hard to believe that the company didn’t know of our hotel’s situation. It was also frustrating to have no clear answer on a refund for the second day. I would think twice before trusting them.

Fui en marzo con mi hija a chichen itza y nuestros guias eran Marcelino, David y Jose el conductor y el host era Ramon
Fue pura diversión ! Fuimos a un cenote y a Valladolid. Muchas gracias la pasamos increíble son muy amables y disfrutamos cada segundo

We booked the 5 day/4 night Mayan Heritage tour and were extremely lucky that no one else had booked so we had a very personal tour with our own guide Manny and driver Jose.
The vehicle was a very comfortable van that could have accommodated 6 tourists plus the driver and guide.
We drove approximately 2000km over the 5 days as the sites we visited were quite far apart but it was interesting to see so much of the Yucatan Peninsula. A lot of the roads are in very bad condition so our driver and guide took turns in driving.
The sites we saw were amazing and I now have a great respect for the Mayan culture. Our guide Manny was very knowledgeable and had real passion for the Mayan history. My husband is a real history buff so they got on well together.
The accomodation varied, the first night being the worst in a tired Motel on a very busy road. We were kept awake with road traffic all night. There was little to see in the village and we managed to find a chicken take out shop for dinner although we had difficulty with language ordering. Luckily there was a German family there who spoke some Spanish who ordered for us.
The subsequent nights were much better. One night at a lovely resort. Another in a beautiful walled city that could have been anywhere in Europe. The last night was in a gorgeous Moorish inspired hotel. We stopped for lunch and had adequate toilet and rest breaks everyday.
I can highly recommend this company and the tour.

Fantastic day out - opted for the "deluxe" trip to Chichen Itza which included a sensational swim in the Cenote Saamal, a stunning Mayan sink hole that no-one wanted to get out of once they had dived in from a 5m height. Also included a trip to the town on Valladolid.
The whole tour was excellent with the guide Ricardo being a charming chap, full of useful history, anecdote and perspective. We were all looked after with drinks, snacks, umbrellas and he made the day trip smooth, memorable and lots of FUN.
10/10 - an exhilarating day that none of us will ever forget. Made friends with other families and the kids loved it = bonus. ;)

The company offer several tours, one night/2days to 5 days/4nights.
we chose the 3 night ''Dreams tour which we booked in advance paying half the total amount in advance.
Initially the exchange of e-mails was a problem, but eventually matters were resolved and we were picked up from our resort and everything proceeded well. Our guide was Gabrielle, but I understand the company have a number of guides all of which are freelance.The accommadation provided was comfortable with lovely views.

Incrível a conservação e a grandiosidade desta antiga cidade Maya, a história, natureza, cultura e arquitetura se misturam de uma forma harmoniosa.

We had a private tour of Chichen Itza thru Mayan Expeditions. Our guide,Pepe, and driver, Jose, were awesome. Pepe, was very knowledgeable and displayed such enthusiasm for his job. Our driver, Jose, got us to and from our resort safely. I would highly recommend a private tour, it's the only way to go!
