This was a wonderful experience, would recommend this to all ages. Learned about the history of the town. Got to have hands on the cooking and getting great mexican recipes. Food was delicious. Also visited a spice shops and a vegetable store. Had a great time would definitely do this again.

This cooking class far exceeded our expectations!!! It was incredibly organized and such a small group (9 people) that we got to do and experience everything! We loved going to the local markets to shop for fresh ingredients, then we came back to cook. Carolina and her family were so hospitable and kind! They taught us to make fresh margaritas, Pico de gallo, guacamole, salsas, fresh tortillas, fish tacos, and paella ALL in one class! We would recommend this class to anyone, and will likely come back again on our next visit to learn more. Thank you Carolina and family!!!

Having gone to Cabo several times, we were looking for something different and decided to go to Cookin Cabo.
What a great idea.
Not only was the host Issy and his wife wonderful people along with other assistants, we met a number of great people there.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Issy and were welcomed to the event.
The excursion to the spice store was informative and enjoyable by all the participants as was the trip to the fruit and vegetable market. Everyone had a task to pick and bag produce, spices and items as directed by the chef.
Once we returned we made margaritas and were welcomed to enjoy additional ones as needed.
All were involved in the cooking experience and the process was detailed with explanation of certain techniques and various spice combinations.
During this time there was live (1 man) music that everyone joined in on using different small percussion instruments. That was a lot of fun (margaritas helping).
We (and the kitchen staff) made authentic guacamole, typical guac, Pico de guillo, 35 ingredient mole for the chicken, prepared vegetables, and some pureed sweet potatoes and cauliflower.
If you are looking to go to something a little different than the typical Cabo stuff (which is all great) sign up for Cookin Cabo, you will enjoy and remember this one for a long time.

Great experience with Issi our chef & guide. We visited the tortilla shop, produce market & butcher shop for our ingredients then learned how to make delicious dishes & margaritas.

As a foodie couple who has been to Cabo dozens of times, our experience at Cookin' Cabo was truly one of the best experiences we have had in a LONG time. Chef Issi created a memorable experience, starting with the tour to cabo grocery spots that we NEVER would have visited on our own to gather the ingredients. Then he brought us to his professional kitchen at his own house to coach us on preparing the meal. Both semi-professional chefs (like my wife) and raw beginners (like me) had a great time. HIGHLY recommended - we will be back in the future with more friends and family.

The experience was as described. The chief was friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. With just three couples, it was intimate and participatory. I learnt several new things and added to my own culinary knowledge. I highly recommend this tour. Well worth the price.

My sister and I took her foodie son in law on this fun adventure whole in Cabo for his 40th Bday. Couldn't have been a better choice for all of us. Shopping at the local Bodega then making it all into the best margaritas and chicken mole I've ever had. Would definitely recommend.

Issi was an amazing chef and teacher. We enjoyed visiting the local shops of Cabo San Lucas and experiencing the Mexican culture. The food was out of this world. Truly a fabulous experience.

Issi (pronounced “Easy” — the chef and owner) is the best and the experience was our favorite of the trip! There was a group of six of us including my wife and me. Issi started by asking us if we wanted to cook mole (if any of us had a nut allergy we could have chose something else). Then he took us to some local markets taught us what to look for in good ingredients — experiencing the local shops was one of the coolest parts because we got a taste of what it’s like to be a local. Then Issi welcomed us into his home and taught us how to make margaritas, guacamole, pico de gallo, and, of course, mole! All of which turned out to be delicious. Did you know there are 35 ingredients in mole? Neither did I.

What a terrific way to spend an afternoon. My husband and I brought our 13 year son and we first were taken to a few local markets to grab ingredients for the cooking session. It was a wonderful way to see more of Cabo and to explore a bit more of the city. Next, we went to our hostess' home and cooked the most delicious meal. The food was spectacular and so fresh! Any other taco or salsa will never compare.
Carolina and her family are the sweetest, most hospitable people you'll ever meet!! Enjoy! You won't regret this excursion - you have my word.
