When we visited Northern blossom it was a great experience. We traveled early in the morning to gaze upon the full glory of the sunrise. When we reached the place, the sight was astonishing from the sea of clouds to the bed of flowers and the great mountains. It was such an awesome view and at the end of the track, they offered a complimentary snack of pan de coco and sweet potato. They also provided us cordilleran brewed coffee. Overall, the experience was spectacular.

I just want to recommend Northern Blossom flower farm in Atok, Benguet. Northern Blossom has a two-hectares wide plantation. Northern Blossom is located in Sayangan, Atok, Benguet. It is approximately 1.5 hours away from Baguio City. I was lucky enough to visit the Northern Blossom flower farm a few years back before it became popular. At first sight, it may not look like the images you see in social media as there are flowers planted in their house but through to explore around and you'll find some instagram worthy spots. The flower farm is draped by pine-fringed mountains and vegetable farms.

Bed of Flowers

Soooo, I’ve been dreaming of having beautiful photos surrounded by flowers and this is a perfect destination to do that! However, I'm giving it a 4 star since the ticket rate at that time is around 250php and was about to get increased to 300. the tour is just for an hour (plus you have to give a tip to your guide for photo ops) so I dont think that the amount is fair. Also, their toilets are not working properly. If they could improve tracks of the farm, toilets and maintain a flat rate then I'm giving it a 5 though I am commending them for keeping the plants healthy and happy.

We visited here just to see the sunrise, requested by my friend who came from cebu. Yeah, spoiled. Ok, we all know the view here from the mountain regions of the North is astonishing. Put them together with flowers, sunshine and some sea of clouds, damn! You got one hell of a view. But with regards with this place, it's OK for me as a traveller. Not so good, not so bad. But I'm not so fun with their ticket price just to go in and see their vegetation of flowers with the view. For the price of 250php, you get to see their flowers plus at the end of the trip you get to have 1 skyflakes and a coffee. See, if I were you, are you going to be happy with that? I'm not against with their complimentary snacks. But I hope they've become more equal or just. It's either slash down the ticket price or add some for their snack. Like choices of hot or cold choco, juice not just coffee. Aside from biscuits, choices of bread, cup cakes, muffin etc. Just saying...

It was a serene and calm destination. been here thrice and the beauty is just captivating, the weather is above average and the people are just so lovely. ESP, the owner Ms. Lany, I am touched by her humility and kindness. Needs a little improvements on the facilities but for the past 3 years they never stopped improving. deserves 5 stars.

Mt Timbak + Northern Blossom
jan. 2020 • Venner
If you are looking for a way to disconnect with social media, escape the hustle and bustle of the city life and reconnect with yourself, a daytour to the north will definitely work-Mt Timbak + Northern Blossom.

Mt Timbak is the third highest peak in Luzon. The weather here can drop to 5°. It offers one of the best views of sunrise and unlimited sea of clouds all throughout the day. You can even get freshly picked vegetables at super affordable prices. For Christians, there is a station of the cross situated at the summit. Awesome, right?

After the climb, you can rest at the beautiful gardens of Northern Blossom. Enjoy the flowers in full bloom in its 3-hectare area. In front is a view of Mt Pulag which is third among the highest peaks in the Philippines. Northern Blossom even offers unlimited kapeng barako (brewed coffee) at the end of the tour.

You are literally in Cloud 9 in both worlds 'coz fogs can be everywhere all day.

Visiting the farm last Christmas, I was stunned by the number of people who gravitated to the place, and how unabashedly, its management cashed in on the opportunity. The reason for my disappointment was, granted the flower farm was truly a sight to behold and fast shaping into a must-see tourist spot, it just doesn't justify the 250 pesos per head the visitors are being asked to shell out. Half that price would be fair enough, but would still not make complaints of overpricing go away. Simply said, the farm is overcharging its guests.

The management does not provide toilet facilities except for the reception at the entrance, which at the same time is not even free. They charge a small fee for one to pee. But once you get out to the flower gardens, you just have to control your bladder the rest of the tour. It is noticeable too that the farm does not have a nurse or a medical attendant in case an old visitor drops from exhaustion, or worse, someone slips, or falls off a ravine while taking selfies. It is not too much to ask of them to provide for these contingencies given the fees that management impose to guests, which is clearly excessive.

I remember reading a write up where the owner claimed it was not their plan to open to the public but only wished to accommodate requests to look at the flowers and take pictures. I don't think that is not true anymore. The farm has been driven to commercialize it invites doubt if the farm tours are just an accommodation to please the public or an all-out scheme to bleed them of their hard earned money.

Everything was good: friendly staff and well maintained tourist attraction. Well organized and provides a quick informative briefing at the start of the tour. You get what you paid for, they offer over flowing coffee and a cookie at the end of the tour.

A little room for improvement, It was a little bit pricey for 250 per person. I suggest you improve the comfort room, its a paid comfort room but its not that clean. Just a constructive criticism... But beyond that, its all good.

They even have staff per spot that can take good photos of you. The view is breathtaking, a lot of area for photo ops. Kudos to everyone 👌🏻

We were lucky enough to hail a cab whose driver was super helpful to offer us a trip to Northern Blossom (NB).

Initially, we were bound to Wright Park, but it was super peak season and his offer price (Php 2500) for the Atok round trip from Baguio was way lower than what a private van (Php 7000) was offering to us a day before. And so spontaneously, we headed to Atok. It was totally worth it.

The 1.5 hour drive going there was smooth. We took a backdoor route via Ambiong, La Trinidad. The cabbie said the traffic jam was at the town proper in Benguet State University and the Strawberry Farm.

We headed straight first to the highest point view deck for photo ops. This was a little bit way pass NB. This is also a very nice spot to visit.

There is a parking area at the NB, however when it gets full, the basketball court at the barangay hall is utilized.

We paid an environmental fee of Php 20 per adult at the barangay hall which is at the other side of NB. They issue an Official Receipt (OR) which I showed to the NB staff. The NB staff can also charge the said Environmental Fee and they have an OR too, so if you do not want to take a walk at the other side, you can head straight to NB.

The farm is vast and has many varieties of flowers. My favorites include the calla lilies, the round purple flowers (i was not able to ask the name) and the cabbage roses. There are also succulents planted as a yin yang and sprouting out of a rip rap.

As it was peak season, they already ran out of guides and our group roamed the area on our own. It was just fine but I guess having a guide is better as he can take pics and answer questions promptly.

After the tour, we had free brewed coffee and snacks. It was the perfect way to cap the 1 hour trek.

There are cut flowers and succulents sold there. I bought bundles of carnations and sunflowers for Php 50 per bundle.

Since our visit was in the afternoon, i want to have a chance to visit during daybreak. I’m sure the place is very majestic at that time.

After visiting and surviving the adventures in Banawe, Sagada, and Mt. Province; tourists can visit this flora in its perfect habitat in Atok Benguet. After you register at the counter, they can provide friendly tour guides to assist tourists in taking pictures and introducing the stattering terms of flowers. Lovely!
