This delightful park was within walking distance of our hotel so we decided to walk over, walk around, and have lunch there. There are lots of trails, flowers, plants, a playground, good views, and more. While we were there, we noticed a very somber monument to First Nations children who were removed from their families and found in mass graves near their boarding schools -- very sad but important not to forget.

Super place for a walk or a run after work. Great view and climate. A lot of waking pathways. A lot of great area. Quite close to office center.

Sehr schönes Naherholungsgebiet direkt an der Innenstadt und Fluß gelegen; ideal zum Spazierengehen (inkl. sehr netten Restaurant: River Cafe).

This park is tranquil and a lovely place to walk around. An oasis in the city. The "cafe" is not really a cafe, pretty expensive, so be aware.

From my hotel downtown, I walked about 4 miles around the park and along the river. Nice, clean, well-manicured with plenty of shade. Paved and flat throughout the park so easy for people of all ages to enjoy walking, running, and biking. It was not crowded at all on a Friday morning. Pretty bridges and sights of the Bow River. Easy access to downtown.

There is quite a bit of construction going on right now along the river and on the way to the park, but there are many signs directing you where to walk to get around it all.
We walked over a bridge and to the little island to walk around there, and then back towards the opposite side. It's quite beautiful, and very well maintained. The paths are marked well and there are so many trees and lots of park benches to sit and have a rest or look out at the river. Many people are out on scooters, walking, biking, and running. It's quite nice.
There are public washrooms on the island and a Cafe as well. We only wished that the water fountains worked. Hopefully they can fix that.

This park is located down by the Bow river and is very easy to get to. The park is full of benches for stoping during whatever activities you might be doing. The path is wide and has plenty of shady trees to make your time in the park very enjoyable. There are lots of open areas for spreading out a blanket and reading, picnic, or just people watching.

Walked down to the park on recommendation to visit the cafe. The last few hundred yards traversed a building site and on the island itself large sections were fenced off. To make it a total waste of time the cafe was closed for a private function. The island, the parts you could see, seemed quite nice but not worth much of a detour.

Situé au pied de la ville, ce parx est d'une tranquillité apaisante.

Hi there, I am looking for somewhere safe to walk my little dogs because I have heard of the coyote problem in Calgary. This park is surrounded by water so I hope this makes it unlikely they are living there. Are there any coyote in this park?

No coyote in this park. It is in Downtown area and it is beautiful to walk around. It is cold so check the weather (for you) to dress properly.
I once saw a family driving through the park on a carriage type thing that they were pedaling. Where can I rent one of those?

Since the park is huge, there are many neighboring places where you can park your car. You can also drive around the area of Eau Claire or Chinatown, but it won't be free. Parking in downtown Calgary can be expensive thou there are good deals on week-ends when there are no office workers to compete with. You can always leave your car in some free parking lots of the Calgary transit, take the train then enjoy the leisurely walk towards the park. Have fun!
