A must do when you visit Calgary. For those that are afraid of heights this is similar to standing in a hotel room looking out the window and there is no movement. There is a small section that has a glass platform you can stand on if you wish but generally there is plenty of room to stand back. The views are spectacular and a great way to see what Calgary looks like from above.

Beautiful views, especially from the glass floor area. Would be nice to add a small coffee shop for those not interested in dining at the restaurants.

Wow- such a long way up! Loved the view, even on a slightly snowy wet day. We went on a cold wet Thursday morning, and it was practically deserted, so we had the place almost to ourselves. Really enjoyed walking around and seeing the city from all angles. If you are afraid of heights, i wouldn't recommend standing on the glass floor part, but do it if you can.

I live in Calgary , this month is my mum visiting from Poland , and I took her to the tower .
This never gets old sure it’s not the biggest but it’s still cool .
Glass floor is always good attraction .

Great views and experience. A must om a city tour of the beautiful Calgary in Canada . The glass floor is especially terrifying buy great fun. Don't buy tickets on line as cost more than a walk in ticket .

Must see place when you are in Calgary. Easy to find it in the center, no need to buy tickets in advance - you can make it here (payment with cash or card). Going up by the elevator and then - amazing picturesque view to the entire city!
We went there in the evening close to sunset, so we were able to make amazing photos with the sunset from different sides.
Glass floor may seem to be kinda tension from the beginning but after all - isn’t it exciting to see the city under your feet? 😃
There is short movie about the construction of the tower and Alberta in general. Take time to watch it - useful information.
There is restaurant here but it needs reservation (often crowded). I believe restaurant visitors can go to the tower for free - there is separate entrance for them.
There is souvenir shop at the ground floor. Somehow high prices but worth looking.
Take a look at the walls as well - there is information about different towers in the world.

Great trip with our kids to the Calgary Tower, the kids loved the glass floor. There are history boards on the wall and ledges, so you can learn the unique history of the world’ tallest olympic torch.

We would like to ride to the top of the Calgary Tower and have lunch? Can we pay when we arrive and how much would the bill be? Do you anticipate a waiting list tomorrow, Friday, the 17th. of February?

The Calgary Tower provides complimentary admission if you make a prior reservation to Sky 360 Restaurant and if each member of your party orders an entrée.

I don't think you get free parking as you are only allowed about 20 to 30 minutes on the street outside but you have to pay to park

We went at the end of the day. We had about an hour at the top that was adequate time to enjoy the view and take pictures. There really isn't much up there. The history info on the walls was very interesting and worth a read. Other than a restaurant and snack shop and the history info that's about it. Hardly any people were up there at the last hour of it being open. Hope this helps. Have fun. The views are awesome.

The closest parking to us is the Palliser parkade, which is attached to our building complex. Entrance to the parkade is off 10th avenue.

How long is the wait time for getting in/taking elevator?

The elevator to the top of the Calgary Tower takes just 62 seconds to reach the top.
The length of time that it takes to purchase your tickets to the Tower and to board an elevator may vary according to the season , the day of the week, and the time of day, but is is never an excessively long wait. It generally would never take longer than 10-15 minutes at the longest and it would be rare that it would ever take that long.

Is it possible to walk on the Observation level WITHOUT standing on a see-through GLASS FLOOR ... or is it ALL GLASS ???
