Went to see Shen Yun. Performance was great but venue was so-so. I haven’t been to the Jube in years but often go to the Winspear, so maybe unfair to compare. I found sound not great and the seats comfortable but very cramped. A man sitting next to me was probably 6’4” ish and his legs didn’t fit so he needed half of my leg room. Also found many people in front of me leaning forward (so they also couldn’t see) so that meant my sight line was severely impaired. Would have to be something I REALLY wanted to see to go back soon.

Building is great, lots of seating and easily accessible. The sound was terrible for the rent play though, I’m not sure if this is a production issue or a venue issue. Overall good experience tho

We visited the Jubilee for my son's grad.
It was very easy to get in and out as there were a ton of grads.
Sound system was very clear, and the seating was excellent. I think you could sit anywhere in the building and have a good seat.
Looks exactly like Calgary's Jubilee

This was a much anticipated evening, we had seats on the balcony/1st, couldn’t get 4 tickets together on the ground floor, but hey, we have been here before so no problem.
My wife is handicapped and guess what, there is only ONE elevator and that one broke down. This is a building is owned by The Government of Alberta and I expect that there is maintenance done, if the elevator has on time maintenance they should not have this problem that with only one elevator it better works when 1000/2000 are coming to a show. The staff went out of their way to accommodate and help us/my wife anyway they could and at the end we got seats downstairs in the back for handicap. Unfortunately my son and his girlfriend had to sit upstairs where we had 4 seats, they had taken us out for this event as a gift for mother’s day and upcoming father’s day.
Thanks to the staff, again they were fantastic but the building maintenance should be ashamed that an elevator is not working for an event.

The talk by Brian Cox was of course “out of this world” and just great to hear him added with some of the visual aspects of the show.

The Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton is the home of Edmonton Opera. My perspective of the venue is a little different than most as I have been a chorus member with Edmonton Opera for the past 30 years. If it were not for a venue such as the Jube with an extensive backstage area hosting an array of curtains, scrims, flys, lighting, sets, props, special effects presenting an art form like opera in the grandeur it was meant to be staged in would never be possible. On top of all that are the dressing rooms for everyone with hair, make-up, costumes etc.
I would encourage anyone coming to an opera at the Jube to inquire with opera staff about a backstage tour - it will bring a new perspective of how good a venue like the Jube is to stage these kind of shows. While the Jube is not perfect acoustically, the renovations done a number of years ago have improved the quality of sound to the listening audience. I always consider it an honor to be standing on stage performing for Edmonton audiences at the Jubilee Auditorium. Whether it is an opera, a touring musical production or a concert - please check out the Jubilee Auditorium next time your in town. Note: my personal and business relationship is with Edmonton Opera - not the Jubilee Auditorium itself.

We recently visited this venue for the play Come from Away. We parked almost onsite at an adjacent parking lot and was easy to get in and out quickly. The ticket takers were friendly and processed us quickly. The concession lines were long and unfortunately we couldn't wait in that they were getting ready to close the doors. The seats are comfy and most seats have a great sight line. It best to be on the main level if you want to see facial expressions. We were one up and while we could see everything we missed some of the finer details.

We've been to the Northern Jubilee Auditorium a few times over the years, most recently to see Les Miserables in July 2018. While we tend to choose the same seating area each time we go, I agree that there probably isn't really a bad seat in the house. The venue is spacious and beautiful, with coat check and multiple concession stands. We like to sit in the Main Terrace (Right). From there you have a great, somewhat elevated, view of the stage and it is near the exit so it is easy to access. The seats are cushioned and comfortable. Also, there is ample parking on site.

I have been to Carol King’s Beautiful and Book of Mormon recently at the Jubilee. This venue has great acoustics, nice seating and is such a gem for Northern Alberta. I look forward to enjoying more concerts and musicals at the Jubilee!

This is a great venue in that there is plenty of parking ($6), the seats are comfortable and the sound is very good. This is my preference for plays and concerts. It is so easy to pick seats online. Beautiful was an excellent musical.

We went to the Alberta Ballet's performance of Leonard Cohen's Dance Me.
What an amazing production!
Of course the music gave you goose bumps.
The choreography and performance of the ballet was truly remarkable.
The Jubilee Auditorium itself is a spectacular venue.
This is a must see.
