Patricia Lake loop was not great. Felt like a waste of time. Pyramid Lake however was lovely and a nice short stroll.

It’s a beautiful short drive or longish hike up to these lakes from Jasper . We dropped 2 of our group off for a two hour trail rise which they both throughly enjoyed . Then drove up past the lakes as far as the road goes, and did a hike following the forest track onwards, then following the path off to the left ( it’s marked) and crossing a stream by the bridge and completing a circular . About 6ks with a bit of up and down . The view back over the lake is gorgeous.

Pyramid lake was a very scenic place. Lovely underwater reflections. Very nice for photographs. Not far from Maligne Canon which was also very nice.

Stunningly beautiful place… the colours are amazing . Great sense of peace and tranquility permeates the atmosphere…would love to have gone kayaking.

We stayed in Banff and went early to avoid the crowds (9-10). The rental office is located in the same lot as the Lodge. Quinn helped with general inquiries and was there to push us off shore. He was informative, told us we'd be charged an extra hour if we returned more than 15 minutes over time, and gave us the quick run down on the lake/weather conditions. Caitlin was in the rental office and signed us in promptly, gave us the safety briefing, and our life jackets.
The lake itself was beautiful and calm. It's definitely a worthwhile experience to paddle around compared to taking pictures on the shore. We got a close but safe distance to a deer, and you're far enough from the roads to hear loons and other waterfowl. If you beeline, you can probably make it to the island and back in less than an hour, though I personally recommend ambling in the centre of the lake.

Went to the lake for a kayak and had a wonderful time. Beautiful views and the staff were great. Lucy and Quinn especially were so nice to us and gave us some great recommendations. Thouroughly enjoyed the experience

We loved the short hike to the island on Pyramid lake. Very pretty. It ended up being the farthest north point we ever visited.

Great area to spend a short time or longer. Lodging, restaurant, lots of water activities including some great beaches. The little island is great to stroll around on. There’s plenty of picnic places and places to sit and enjoy the views. Only a little more than 5 mins from downtown center of Jasper. Great hidden location.

We went to Pyramid Lake for a swim and a picnic lunch. Nice lake with mountain views. Not crowded at all so relatively quiet and the water, although a little on the cool side, is swimmable. Quite a few picnic tables in the shade.

Beautiful lake - bring some lunch and spend an hour here. Good views of the mountain. Plenty of benches for you to sit on. Take only about 10 minutes to walk around the island on the lake.

Are you able to tent anywhere close by pyramid lake? If so is it within hiking distance and is it free?

Campgrounds are a bit away. One is called Wapiti. Whistlers campground is closed this year along with almost 800 sites, so could be tough to get a spot.

Are the walks and trails around the lakes stroller friendly? Trying to plan trip with 9 month old who is a little too heavy for a sling so hope to focus on stroller friendly trails. Thanks in advance

Not sure I can help here . We did the trail in February when the Canyon was frozen and so were the trails . . Difficult to know what was under the snow . Pyramid lake and the island would be a better walk but quite short . Have a great trip .

There are places to park along the Patricia Lake road. If you go further on to Pyramid Lake there is also parking close to the resort there. Lots of trails everywhere.

Sorry I was there in Winter and the lake was frozen, but I do remember our tour guide pointing out that canoeing was available and there were bike shops in jasper for bike rental during the summer.
