Great family time fun in the outdoors! Clean and safe and bright and lovely. Cows are healthy and able to be touched. Lots of other opportunities to pet other animals around the farm and petting zoo area. Delicious ice cream, tractor ride was fun and pumpkins are available for purchase too. Reasonable price.

Yes, we enjoyed the tour because my daughter saw a lot of cows that she would never have a chance to see around home. The farm land well kept up. However, This family run business surprised me by the amount of physical contact there was when directing the children around the animals, I would have preferred to have the parent be the guide for their child in needs of where to place hands and standing in line. The workers for the family do not need to do this. After touching cows, I would like to see an opportunity given to enter the washrooms for a washup before proceeding along the tour because you know how quickly little ones will put their hands in their mouths. Overall, I think my daughter learned a lot from this nicely layed out farm.

Good day and thank you for taking the time to review our farm. Our guided tours of the Dairy Farm are a big favourite to so many people and teachers alike. As a group you were touring amongst live animals and for the safety and security of our guests and the safety and respect of the animals we do need to control spaces and distances. Some parts of the tour are hands on activities that require an assistant with experience (Farmer/owner) to teach and control. This is done for safety, security, and respect for both guests and animals as well. We do have a well labelled washroom located in the centre of the building with soap and hot water. Thank you again for your visit and we trust you and your daughter along with the rest of her school class learned something about cows and dairy farming in BC.

Went with my daughter and grandkids 14 and 8. Definitely the highlight of our day. The animals are numerous and you can feed the cows. Goats, pigs, pony, rabbits, kittens, puppies, chicks, sheep. It had rained that day so I recommend boots or shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. The only downside was not seeing any hand cleaner for public use. Lots of pumpkins in the pumpkin patch!!

Thank you for your visit and great review. We don't have hand cleaner around the barn by all of the animals but we do have hot & cold water and soap in the washrooms in the main foyer area. Our apologies if you were not pointed in the correct direction by us. Hope to see you again, Brian

Fantastic family day, make a reservation for your whole crew to visit the farm, learn about dairy cows, and how our milk goes from being grass to in our coffee, macaroni and cheese and cakes :).

What a fantastic experience for my Grade 1 students! We live in East Vancouver where there are no cows and barely any animals. When we arrived we were greeted by the faithful Sophie, who is a dog. She came on board our school bus and just shared her love! The children were totally entranced! Even my most scared and reluctant students warmed up to her and her companion dog, then of course Scrum, the cat! That was the first 10 minutes! Erin and Brian did an excellent demonstration of dairy foods. Then in marched five cows and they were milked! While that was happening, the students were passing around a jar of cream, which eventually became butter and butter milk. Then we all had a chance to milk gentle Bilbo, she just stood there so patiently while all my students and parent helpers had a chance to squeeze her teat to get milk!!! Absolutely awesome!!!! We had a chance to feed the rest if the cows by hand...again, incredible! Fed the baby goat and lamb, petted the bunnies, had ice cream to finish!! Wow! This is the best trip ever! ....and just FYI, I've been teaching for 33 years. Go to Eagle Acres. I promise you the visit will be incredible!

I brought a group of international students to Eagle Acres Dairy farm. I had personally never been on a tour of a dairy farm, and the experience was amazing!
The owners of the farm show you the process involved in milking their cows to provide milk for all of us to drink. It's quite an educational experience, showing the evolution of milking cows, by hand originally, and the robotic methods used in today's most modern dairy farms.
One highlight on the tour is having the chance to milk the cow by hand, and many of the students and myself took part in this neat experience. The best part of the tour was getting to head into the "belly" of the farm, with a visit to the barn that houses all the cows, as well as many other farm animals; goats, lamb, chickens, rabbits, and baby calves.
The tour finished with a chance to feed the adorable baby goats and pet the rabbits. A small taste of grocery store chocolate milk at the end of the tour shows how the process is complete from farm to table.
Definitely worth a visit, especially with children and students. This tour provides a great step in teaching kids about the importance of farming and where some of our most important food sources originate. Note that tours are by appointment only.

What an awesome, cross curricular experience! The entire 90 minute tour was well organized, informative and hands-on. The kids all had an opportunity to try milking a cow, and feed the baby goats. The atmosphere was relaxed. What a great way to explore the farm to table concept, biology of mammals, food processes and nutrition! These grade 9/10 students LOVED the experience!
